Reminder that Hiyori is narrating in chapter one, on First Person too, meaning she is retelling the story herself.

Which she would be unable to without her memories

Meaning:

-Her death and Shinki position are temporary or/and fixable

- Somehow a fake out of this world created by father

- She is a very special kind of shinki that is able to retain her memories

- The person that we know as “Hiyori” is dead, she is a blank slate now, and in her final moments she is remembering how everything started (her meeting with Yato)

- A 5th secret option that we don’t know about bcs this chapter is incomplete

Anyways, I wanted to still held hope I guess. Because it’s such an unfair ending for Hiyori, and contradicts what was established in the Hospital Arc. But I won’t jump to any conclusions until the manga is complete
