Also I don't  understand why Jaron  says that he would not have survived without her in any fight cause he very much on his own in every fight most of the time and he survived. I think her help was important in book 2 but she did nothing helpful in book 1(Errol and other servants were there to treat his wounds and Jaron had to protect Imogen from Veldergrath's man cause she foolishly used a poker and led him to that room.) And in book 3 her sacrifice was not needed had she not been kidnapped and Jaron fought the entire war in book 3 without her with his friends and in book 4 Imogen kept on meeting and leaving Jaron to do her own thing. In this book 5 Jaron was on his own and it wad Roden and Darius who brought armies and fought the prozarians and Mott and Tobias helped Jaron too though they  had few pages here. Imogen's appearance did nothing but pausing the story from the main plot in the middle. Whatever grand speech she gave to Carthyans in Jaron’s  support it was not needed cause Carthyans know what Jaron had done for them.(looking at book 2 ending and book 3 when Imogen was not around and how they were rooting for and supporting Jaron). Imogen don't  really encourage anyone like Jaron encourages others. And I never found Jaron encouraging Imogen ever like I saw him encouraging Tobias or Roden in the series. Nor does Imogen encourages Jaron like Mott . So what good is there in their dynamic??
One thing I never liked was that she always said that's she can fight but we barely see her do that and always in the end needed someone to rescue her. Even in the shattered castle she got captured towards the climax where she was showing that yellow cloth and then probably got rescued by others off page since Jaron was busy finding the treasure and fighting his enemies. In book 4 I did not like how she ignored Jaron’s  orders and reasons that she would marry Jaron , who is King so she won't  follow his orders. I mean others don't  like Jaron ordering them either but they following it regardless and I love that about them where as Imogen always finds out a reason not to follow his orders in the series. And honestly I don't  know why but everything she tried to stop Jaron from helping Darius she got on my nerves. I mean Jaron here is so conflicted right now and he loves his brother a lot so everything she said something trying to justify her reasons she never realized how much it was hurting Jaron . And she had this idea that Darius is going to kill Jaron when Darius never did that no matter how he was acting in that book and I remember she had that same idea in book 2 about Roden but Roden though harmed Jaron never had it in him to kill him. I didn’t  like how Imogen said Darius was never Jaron’s  brother because of that plot twist cause that made Jaron said that Fink is not his brother either by that logic. Besides the abandoning Jaron angrily in that book she was getting angry with Jaron at random times for either helping Wilta or Darius or because Jaron was not letting her help him cause he fears for everyone's safety or just because Jaron said it's  his life(I mean theoretically it's  true Imogen don’t know what Jaron been through  in his life and would never understand it completely). How do Imogen think it was their life ??She never apologized for getting angry with Jaron in the way Jaron always did. Also she was a bit clingy to him in book 4. I don’t mind anyone's  behavior in that book because they had their reasons (Though I did not like what author did to characters like Roden or Darius in that book )  but I very much minded Imogen's behavior in the captive kingdom. And she really kept on telling Jaron not to abandon his throne  and fight his brother for it?? I know Jaron deserved the throne but still I did not like how she was putting it not even much paying attention to Jaron’s  feelings. She knows that Jaron never wanted to be king right?? And honestly Jaron keeping secrets a problem for her now ? Where was it when Jaron hid his identity as Sage even when she just gave away her secret of not being mute to him without even knowing him much in the first place. Also she made so many wrong assumptions when Sage wanted to bring her to the castle and was angry with him throughout the ride and even later in the false prince but then she herself woke Sage up at night to talk privately with him ?? I never got her since then.

I didn’t like in book 2 how Imogen was at one point telling Jaron to run away together from the pirates when she kind of knew why Jaron came here and she even one point told Jaron to run away for her sake and I find it too annoying even if apparently she was looking for Jaron’s safety but she could have put it in a different way. And I find her character to be inconsistent, like I don't understand why at one point of time in book 1 she is scared and then in book 2 she is brave enough to go the pirates and then she is lacking confidence in the end of book 2 and book 3 to confess her feelings with a sense of insecurity and in book 4-5 she is way too much confident about becoming a queen. I think we did not get any devevelopment and she acts like a pre-programmed doll whenever convenient. And she cries way too much and I don't  it to be too emotional.(I don’t  have issues with female characters crying but I find it annoying for some reason when she does it.)  I also don't  like how she could have easily escaped if she had remained hidden from Gregor but she didn't and got caught when Jaron just helped her escape last night in book 2. Also in book 1 she was so distant in the end addressing Jaron as King Jaron and in book 2 other friends were still addressing Jaron by his title by mistake and she just calls Jaron casually in the beginning and even say that she believes she is still closer to him than anyone else.(Like did I miss something in book 1?) And also in the end I didn't  like the drama she did justifying why she would stay in Libeth.  Jaron was telling her it's just a friendship and she said no it's  not maybe it never was...?? Meaning that it was always more than that since the start but  I never got it. Jaron had little to no time to think about love ,how was it love at first start. And her constant frowning at Jaron in book 1 since she was introduced  was annoying cause Jaron was just looking at her to find out why she looked anxious . Like if I had done the same then she would have frowned on me and I would not have liked it. Even if she had her reasons I found that a bit dumb. Also why it felt like she is the only servant who is tortured in the the false prince book?? She pretended to be mute not to draw attention but did she ever think it could also be  why she was tortured so much. She always shouts at Jaron regardless of him being King or not when she could have used her voice in book 1 when she was treated badly.  Also her decision in book 2 just led to her getting kidnapped (I think staying in Drylliad in a castle full of guards could have been a safer decision  or in some other city not near the borders. The catsle is a huge place she could still keep her distance from Jaron if she wanted.)  and Jaron went through so much in book 3 in the prison just because he went to rescue her on his own. And I don’t  find her trying not to heal part in book 3 when she was prisoned to be that emotional. (Instead of talking back to the villains who had imprisoned her that's the best thing she could think of when she was to be used as bait??). And also it took so long for her to confess her love but then when Jaron proposed to her next day she easily accepted without thinking how others may react anymore?? And in book 4-5 they changed her character completely.  Like I thought I might understand Imogen if I read the two books since she was so absent in the original trilogy but I got more annoyed by her. She suddenly acts like a queen giving orders to people since book 4 and if we ignore the plot twist in book 5 she is just betrothed to Jaron , not even a queen yet and nor she is a princess(Just some descendant of a queen from long ago and if we all trace back our ancestors there could be a possibility for some to find important ancestors like that so the plot twist was not capable enough to justify why she could become queen. Also ruling line had changed now like it did many times in history.)

Honestly i did not want Kerwyn to die in this book 5 either. I loved him since day 1 and can we let Jaron have a parent figure who knew him since a kid alive in this story? The author did not hesitate to remove Kerwyn or Erick( I kind of like him when  he became good cause he was like a parent to Fink) .But the author did not dare remove Imogen from the series??  I feel like Imogen stays with Jaron because he is King and Jaron to me sounds delusional about her especially since book 3. Like he thought she had scolded her captors so that's why she was gagged? She literally stayed mute in Conner's  house cause she was scared did he forget that? Or the time he thought Imogen would fight the Saints to make them allow Jaron be with them in heaven?? And in book 4 Jaron is like Imogen loved Jaron for being Jaron but is that even true?? Cause she hates Jaron keeping secrets for definitely good reasons. She misunderstood  many times. And she even thought him to be greedy about the treasure in this book but we all know Jaron planned to rebuild Carthya with it. And in book 4 she just got angry when Jaron said like he cannot let people close cause he fears to lose them . Does she even know Jaron or understand him that well as Jaron thinks she does?? It's so obvious she does not and she like want Jaron to change for her. Also people blame Castor for forcing Imogen to marry her in the shattered castle but as far as I have read Imogen kissed Castor on her own and Castor never forced Imogen to kiss him and yet she did that even twice in front of Jaron. Castor  just forced her to marry him in that scene. Her plans in this book were so boring and not good or exciting like Jaron’s  are. Why people  in this book are giving her credit when Jaron was the one who was fighting in this book? I don’t  like that the author suddenly made her royal and made Darius a non- royalty by blood. I did not like Imogen's  mother either no matter what they did with her later on this book. I would have been rude to her too like Jaron was at first in the book if I was in Jaron’s place. That's  just more reason for me not to like Imogen. Also I don’t  know why Imogen is suddenly listening to her mother more in this book. If she was so much on good terms with her then she could have returned home after book 1 when she was no longer having any debts(She was allowed to return home whenever she wanted I remember). But no she stayed away from her throughout the series and suddenly we are to believe she is on good terms with her?? And she is taking her counsel seriously? Her mother grew up like a commoner like Imogen and how can she provide her what is needed to be done to save the kingdom?

something I found interesting about this scene was that, even though the events of link joker happened some five years prior, kai is still very tense about people bringing up the whole “reverse” situation. chaos breaker is clearly trying to push kai’s buttons by bringing it up, and to some success; it visibly upsets kai. aichi notices this immediately and manages to calm kai down simply by saying his name. aichi’s expression initially is something i interpreted as sternness mixed with concern, which gives way to a reassuring smile when kai relaxes.
the simplicity of the exchange, where aichi is able to diffuse kai’s spike of tense anger with a single word (his name), indicates to me pretty heavily that they’ve probably had a conversation or two about the link joker incident, something kai still feels guilty about, where aichi had to firmly reassure him that has forgiven him completely and that he will, no matter what, never blame kai for it. so when chaos breaker brings it up to rattle kai, aichi subtly reminds him “i’ve forgiven you for it and we got through it together, just like we’ll get through this together… we’ve captured our own future and learned from our mistakes in the past.” their bond is so strong by now that they don’t even need words to express themselves to the other.

I can NEVER see Aichi and Kourin ship to be even a thing. As for Aichi showing concern towards kourin in legion mate it always seemed like a friend attachment .Knowing Aichi's character he would have done the same if any other friend of his was in kourin's place.Considering kourin's situation it was really natural for even anyone else in Aichi's place to show concern. But just because Kourin is a girl you cannot just start shipping her with Aichi!!IT IS REALLY ANNOYING.In many animes you will always find the main character showing concern towards many of his female friends even at times caring about those friends more than Aichi ever cared about Kourin but they don't turn out to be a ship.Aichi and Kourin are just friends.STOP SHIPPING THEM!!

Aichi and Kourin ship.I can NEVER see it happen.Aichi just considers kourin as a friend only.Even if it somehow end up being canon I will never accept it.Plus making it canon will make Aichi so out of character!!I am fine with all other ships in the anime but PLEASE stop shipping Aichi and Kourin!!!
