Not being vain but I like portraits” Felicia said and shrug. “Ok, just a little bit vain” she added with a smug smile and chuckle. “Oh. Mysterious? Never thought of myself like this” she said thoughtfully. She nodded and sit on the couch.

“That’s fair.”  She smiled and laughed a little.  “To be honest you’ve a right to be at least a little vain.  You’re gorgeous.”  Moving to her easel, Janis nodded at her question.  “Your eyes...I dunno how to put it.  You just look like you know things no one else does and you’re a little proud or smug about it.”

Felicia stopped once the other stopped her. She smirk. “Oh really? Thanks” she said still smirking and nodded. “Sure. As long as I can keep it with it. And thanks again?” she said with a chuckle. “Sure. Why not?”.

“You’re welcome.”  Janis smirked right back at the woman before shrugging.  “I can give it to you once I’ve made a print of it to keep?  And you’re still quite welcome.  I like drawing subjects with unique features and you’ve got a....mysterious look to you I like.   But thank you so much, really.  It won’t take long I swear.  Get comfortable and I’ll get it done.”

“Do they have mice?” Karen did have a bit of a soft spot for cute animals, that was true. She smiled, happy that the other forgave her. “Thank you. At the moment, I’m just doing boring English. Trying to get smarter, I guess. I don’t think it’s working..”

“They have mice at the pet store I think?”  Janis couldn’t help but smile a bit at that question, not expecting it, but then again, that was just how Karen worked.  “No problem.  And I’m sure your learning something.  Why not study something you’re actually interested in though?”

Karen hummed a little. “I’ve heard there’s a zoo. Maybe I should check them out.” It was unusual for her to talk to Janis before the Plastics disbanded but… She didn’t really have anything against the girl. She even felt guilty about what was written about her. “Going to school too. Hey… I’m sorry about all that shit before. You didn’t deserve it.”

“There’s a zoo, and a petting zoo too I think. You should! You’d probably like them.  You seem the sort to like cute things.”  Janis nodded before karen continued, the apology catching her off guard.  “Eh, no need to apologize.I did some stuff that was awful too, so none of us were saints.  But...thanks, for apologizing. What are you studying?”

“They can do that.  But yeah, you should get out more.   Meet more animals.”  Janis chuckled before studying the other, likely never able to get used to being casually social with any of the Plastics.  “It has.  I’ve been good actually. Going to art school, working some.  How are you Karen?”

Karen shrugged at that. “I don’t like cats. Maybe they sense it. Dogs… Only met one but it was horrible to everyone.” She mused before finally looking at the other, eyes widening. “Janis?”

“You’ve only ever met one dog?”  Janis looked up at the other at that statement, then raised her eyebrows in surprise. “Karen Smith.  Long time no see.”
