Creepypasta Headcanons: Candy Cane

(TW: Religious themes, murder, sexism, sexual harassment, separation anxiety, ableism)

(A/N: These are not canon at all. These only apply to my AU.)

She was 30 when she and Candy Pop were murdered. She is currently 100+ years old.

She is lesbian, cisfemale, and goes by she/her pronouns.

Is currently engaged with April Fools.

Her full name is actually Caoimhe Caroline Gallagher. Candy Cane was her stage name back when she and her brother were acrobats.

Growing up, her family was very poor and she often was hungry so her brother would often steal food from the rich for her.

She and her brother were very close and they were attached to the hip ever since she was born.

She and her brother usually found happiness and confidence in circus art and would spend hours reading on acrobatics and mimicking the moves of the acrobats they would see at the circuses in their town.

When she was 20, her parents tried to force her into a marriage with a guy who only wanted to use her for her body. As a result, she ran away with her brother where the two became acrobats for a traveling circus.

She chose Candy Cane as her stage name since her favorite candy was candy canes and she would eat every single one of them on the Christmas tree.

However, there was a dark secret behind the circus. The ringleader was a very sexist, ableist man who only thought women should be in the kitchen instead of working.

He would frequently harass Candy Cane whenever no one was looking and abuse her whenever she would make mistakes sometimes in front of the other performers.

However, he only kept her around since she was one of fan-favorites among the audience.

She would keep it a secret from her brother out of fear of him not believing her and disowning her.

One day out of anger, the boss snuck into her and Pop's trailer and set it on fire, killing both of them.

The two were later sent to heaven where they would spend their years together in the clouds.

However, Candy Pop had hatred in his heart and setted out for revenge on the boss who killed him and his sister. As a result, Candy Pop was casted out of heaven and was separated from Candy Cane for many decades, leaving a hollowed out heart for her.

During her time in heaven, she met Liu who told her all about Jeff and she was sad whenever she heard stories about their brotherhood since it reminded her of Candy Pop.

When Liu went back to the land of the living due to Sully, she wondered where he went and felt sad about losing her only friend.

After spending decades waiting for her brother to come back, she would curse out God for banishing her brother and as a result, she was also casted out of heaven.

She would later fall back to Earth and start searching for her brother, hoping to find him.

After 4 years of searching for her brother, she found him with the help of Nathan (whom she met at an abandoned warehouse).

Her and April Fools' room is decorated with pastels and bows.

She is such a housewife as she mostly spends her time outside of her missions baking and cleaning the cottage.

She has extreme separation anxiety when it comes to her brother as she is afraid of losing him again.

She at one point had a one-sided crush on LJ but it quickly went away after seeing him kill a child.

She is not a big fan of modern music and mostly listens classic artists such as Beethoven and Mozart.

Her biggest fears are fire (as it triggers her PTSD from her death) and losing Candy Pop.

Whenever her brother or anyone she cares about is gone for a long time, she tries to distract herself by reorganizing a random room in the Splendor Manor.

The only people she will usually kill are sexist men, rich men and domestic abusers.

She has a gold bracelet Pop gave to her on her 16th birthday. She gets angsty and panicky whenever it goes missing.

Due to her and Pop's history of being in a traveling circus, she can speak Gaelic, Italian, and French.

She does get infrequent nightmares about the day she was separation from Candy Pop but it's usually never severe to the point where she wakes up screaming.

She's a huge art gal and her walls are filled with her drawings.

She has the biggest soft spot on the children pastas and she spoils the hell out of them.

Like her brother, she is very playful and always full of energy.

She sleeps facing the wall with one foot out.

Her favorite movie is The Greatest Showman.

She has a very childish laugh that she is often embarrassed about.

She considers Jeff to be her favorite "nephew".

She and Laughing Jill are BFFs.

She has a habit of playing with the split-ends in her hair.

Like her brother, she has a habit of cursing out of anger but she tries to control whenever she's with the kid pastas.

She, Laughing Jill, and April Fools' usually have a once-a-month girls night in where they do their nails, eat snacks, and play board games.

She loves when it's her turn to babysit Baby Zalgo as she thinks he's the cutest baby in the world.

She usually likes to put her hair up in pigtails and she owns a million hair-ribbons.

Outside of her missions, she can be seen baking something in the kitchen, practicing her acrobatic skills outside, or watching TV in the living room.

Sometime when she was five and Jay was eleven, mother was killed in a car wreck.

The two were later sent an orphanage due to their father not having the money to raise them properly where Jay was adopted by a loving couple and separated from Kate.

Kate was later adopted by Beth and Jacob Hayes who was very protective of her. Beth was very distant from her daughter due to her sickness and she was very aggravated a lot.

Her adoptive family comes from a long line of mental illness and 'mysterious' deaths due to them being stalked by the Operator (aka Zalgo).

She met Lauren in second grade and they both bonded over being outcasts among their peers.

During their childhood, Kate and Lauren loved to play on the swingset outside her house.

Her adoptive mother would go to the hospital a lot due to her illness and Kate was often worried about her dying.

While she was home alone, Kate would often go on the internet and read on people's paranormal experiences.

She would later meet CR during sixth grade which they bonded over their interests in the paranormal.

They would love to go to the forest at night and would love to scare each other for fun.

Overtime, C.R. started to have a crush on Kate which she didn't notice.

Kate was also the one C.R. trusted the most.

However, their fun didn't last long as the two of them started to be stalked by the Operator.

Kate got sick overtime and had many hospitalizations due to her nearly killing herself because "the tall man told her to".

She also started to draw weird pictures of the Operator and refused to eat because it made her sick which greatly concerned Beth.

During her freshman year of high school, C.R. revealed to have a crush on her and asked her to his girlfriend. But Kate rejected him due to her being a lesbian and thinking C.R. as just a friend.

The two then started to drift apart after Beth restricted Kate from seeing C.R. again as she believed he was a bad influence on her.

Kate became very quiet at school and often skipped school because she felt the Operator watching her everywhere.

She would also disappear randomly and not come back for days, even weeks at a time.

One day, she was found near a broken fence with just a video camera, a flashlight, and a stash of weird drawings. As a result, she was sent to a psych ward where she had tests done.

She tried to explain to the doctors about her experiences but they never believed her.

By the time she turned 16, she was released from the psych ward since she was deemed stable.

During that time, she would spend time with her adoptive parents and even drifted away from her friends.

A few months later, Beth was found dead in the bathtub with slit wrists and a note that said "Always watching, no eyes". It's one of the few memories that haunts Kate to this day.

Her adoptive father started to become an alcoholic after his wife's passing until one day, he left and never came back.

She later texted Lauren after school to ask if she can help her sell the house so she could escape from the Operator.

The night before Lauren finally came, Kate was drawing the Operator until she felt a strange presence and went to lock every door and window to protect herself.

However, the Operator was able to get in and later threw Kate out the window.

After surviving her fall, Kate later tries to escape from the Operator but later got caught and taken.

She was later turned into Kate the Chaser and was used as a slave for many months by the Operator.

She is very sensitive to light and gets easily dazed by it.

She can only speak in dog and raccoon noises due to the Operator permanently damaging her vocal cords.

She became fast friends with Charlie Matheson Jr due to their shared trauma.

Sometime when she was 21, she was later saved by Slenderman.

When she reunited with her older brother, Jay, she was very happy and was all over him in a matter of minutes.

Despite their complicated history, C.R. and Kate are still close friends almost like siblings and she even was the ring bearer at his and Lauren's wedding.

She is aware of Toby's crush on her and has told Toby many times that she doesn't like him that way.

She was Chris (the Revenant)'s assigned trainer back when Chris was new to the Slender Pact and they have been best friends since.

Kate gets frequent nightmares about her past and it's very hard for her to calm down unless someone gets Jay, Brian, or Chris for her.

She is allergic to latex.

Kate was always a tomboy at heart even before her proxification as she is usually seen playing baseball with Third Base or taking strolls around the woods.

It took her a while to gain some her weight back after Slenderman saved her. When Slenderman saved her, she was about 65 pounds.

Her favorite time of the year is summer because it reminds her of how she would spend her summers with C.R. and Lauren during their childhood.

She's a huge fan of Korn and The Cranberries.

She's also one of Nina's best friends and often gets excited when she comes over.

When she is not out hunting, she is usually napping on the couch in the living room, hanging out at the river, or in the training room boxing or running on the treadmill.

Her biggest regret is not helping her adoptive mother before her suicide as she feels like she could've saved her if she had been more supportive.

She and Charlie are roommates and they would sometimes stay up late making friendship bracelets.

She has a tendency to snore and it annoyed Charlie at first until he got used to it.

She is a master at hide and seek. She's the best seeker since she can easily track down scents.

She likes to play hide and seek with Sally when she comes over.

She is very fast and can quickly catch up to the others. Brian gave her the nickname "Sonic" because of that.

She likes stealing jewelry from her victims as she's very fascinated by them.

Rouge, Cat Hunter, and Slenderman are the only ones who can understand her.

She confuses her hoodie for Jeff's.

She has a tendency to play with her hair when she is anxious.

She loves Monster High after Nina introduced her to it and has a huge collection of dolls in her closet.

She and Killing Kate hate each other. No one knows why, they just have beef with each other.

She and Jeff have the same aesthetic.

She thinks Ben is annoying and often bites him whenever she tries to pull a prank on her.

She prefers sweatpants over jeans.

Her favorite holiday is Halloween.

As scary as she looks, she's surprisingly great with kids especially babies.

She loves all meat and is a huge carnivore.

She used to grow up in a Christian household. However, her faith was later diminished after the death of her adoptive mother.

Kate is a introvert and often prefers to spend her time alone.

She tends to suppress her emotions a lot.

Kate hates any kind of alcohol and soda.
