I had the time to make ANOTHER drawing for TLS Bristles! Now I have more to talk about this goober so listen up! I will put this under the cut tho because it got too long.

TLS Bristles starts just as clueless as the others, but learns far faster than them due to being able to kinda remember II. She doesn't talk about it, writing down ANYTHING she can grasp from her memories, from the smallest things to the biggest.

Cobs finds it quite frustrating that he can't seem to fully get rid of Bristles memories, no matter how hard he tries. In fact, sometimes his attempts of stopping her ends up with her learning more! So he eventually just stopped.

Bristles over time starts to become more anxious the more she learns and the more ✨plot✨ happens, she'll never be able to truly forget after all, no matter what Cobs tries, even a reset won't work.

Now before you start asking how the reset wouldn't work on Bristles, let me explain. Bristles' was made in a weird way, I've told you this when giving a brief talk that she can still kinda remember, but I should probably explain for the people who haven't checked Vortex's Paintbrush ask blog. Bristles was made due to an anon making Paintbrush's bristles alive for 5 asks creating, then later on when Paintbrush's bristles got cut off Bristles returned permanently.

THAT is why Bristles is so special here, while she did kinda come from Paintbrush making her not real like them, she also wasn't made by Mephone4 himself meaning she was kinda an outlier.

speaking of Bristles weird existence I have an idea for Reboot Bristles but I'd rather not yap about it, after all this is a TLS Bristles post.

So I sucked it up and made refs for @that-one-paintbrush's AU/ask blog characters, mainly because I only really draw Bristles, so in doing this I get to draw some of the others!

Now, I could have made designs for Lightbulb, Fan and Test tube, but I don't feel like that so for now you just get the main four! Also Mod, Vortex, when are we getting some Bristles lore?

OH MY GOSH WOWOOW?? THESE ARE SUPER COOL DUDE I LOVEE TLS AND REBOOTS!!!

Dude I'm gonna be honest, I made these for fun. Then I got thinking "What if I made some small lore for these Bristles I made for different AUs like I did for my Crowned Bristles AU?"

Oh ho ho! What a mistake that was. Because now, just like what happened with my Crowned Bristles AU, these silly drawings have became a whole freaking AU of their own in my head.

So I'm gonna explain stuff about these two now.

The Light Seekers AU Bristles.

Bristles is, at the very least mentally, a child, much more than any character at Meeple. I headcanon Bristles to mentally be 9 or 10, heck maybe younger. And child labor/employment is kinda illegal, so Cobs cant really make Bristles an employee at Meeple.

Cobs CAN however use her for marketing. Look I think Bristles is very marketable, would love a plushie of the goober. But besides from maybe that, Bristles mainly just gets to just hang around and have fun in Meeple!

Bristles tends to hang out with Lightbulb, Fan, Test tube, Goo and Candle.

Lightbulb Fan and Test tube remind Bristles of someone... she knows who this is, its someone important to her... But she can't say their name, and every time she tries to imagine what they look like they appear blurred, and she can't see their face. . .

Bristles, despite having her memories being blocked just like all the rest of the cast stuck at Meeple, is actually able to kind of remember the people and stuff from II, but its all blurred or messed up. Due to the weird creation of Bristles, in this AU Bristles is sorta made by Mephone4 but also not at the same time, meaning she can fight against the code Cobs has added in a way.

I don't think glitching would be painful for Bristles, I don't think it'd even happen much to her. It happens more when shes REALLY stressed and when seeing or remembering something shes normally not meant to, stress tends to make her glitch more than the other one.

Inanimate Reboots AU Bristles.

Bristles is a lot more sad here, as you could tell from the drawing I made of her. Reboot Bristles wasn't always like that, she used to be happy and free-spirited just like the og Bristles was, but just like Reboot Lightbulb she wanted to BE Bristles, so anything that she found interest in that wasn't something the og Bristles did she'd not let herself do it.

Over time it really took a toll on Reboot Bristles mental health, until one day she finally broke. For awhile she just didn't feel like doing anything, sitting around doing nothing or just sleeping, it really worried the other reboots.

Once Reboot Bristles finally started to feel better with help from the other reboots, she just stopped trying to be someone who she wasn't. AND BOY DID THAT FEEL SO MUCH BETTER.

I don't think Mephone4 knew if Bristles had Paintbrush's fire powers and just assumed she did, so Reboot Bristles gets ice powers like Reboot Paintbrush! Reboot Bristles ice powers are a lot more unstable than Reboot Paintbrush's so they get set off a lot more easily, just feeling a little sad or stressed can make her start to freeze up. Reboot Bristles is almost always freezing these days.

I think it'd hurt for Reboot Bristles to cry normally. Since when she cries its normally because shes feeling sad, and since Reboot Bristles' ice powers are so unstable that means her tears usually turn into ice almost instantly. So ow :(

While Reboot Bristles loves to hangout with Reboot Paintbrush, she actually loves to hangout with Reboot Trophy just as much! I don't know what Bristles views Paintbrush as, whether it be kinda a father figure or something else, but in this AU Reboot Bristles views Reboot Paintbrush more like an older brother, same goes for Reboot Trophy.

Reboot Trophy is already quite softer than og Trophy, but with Reboot Bristles it's like he becomes almost a completely different person! Hes so gentle with her and is just so loving, it still baffles everyone when they see it.

Reboot Bristles enjoys wood carving and writing! She often makes carvings of objects and things she likes, more often than not its Reboot Paintbrush or Reboot Trophy in a small little scene. As for the writing. . . Reboot Bristles has this secret fanfic shes been working on involving this super smash bros AU of hers which is so freaking detailed and good, I'm not a writer so I cant make it myself but trust me when I say that it is very good writing for someone as young as Reboot Bristles. Oh Reboot Bristles also writes MLP, Kingdom hearts, Rain world, Steven universe and other fandom fics all on Ao3, especially Steven universe ones.

Now you also may have noticed in my drawing of Reboot Bristles she didn't have any arms, thats because they were tucked in. Just like Taco Reboot Bristles' can hide her arms, though instead of it being in a shell its in her fluff. That is also a headcanon of mine I have for Bristles. ANYWAYS, when Reboot Bristles feels very sad or just sleepy she tends to tuck her arms in her floof.

CAN YOU TELL THAT THESE AUS, ESPECIALLY THE REBOOT ONE, HAVE TAKEN OVER MY MIND! ! !
