Soooooo, If you don't know what Fossil Fighters is, here is a quick version of the game. Dig fossils, clean fossils, revive fossils, fight with Vivosaurs. Repeat till the end of the game. The story is full of a lot of whimsy. I suggest you go and play the emulator as that game is 157 USD rn.

Now! The star of this show is What is a Vivosaur Sona or the short version that I have been using, a Vivosona. Well, what you do with a normal fursona, is you make a character based off of whatever animal you want. The only difference here is, is that it's based on a Vivosaur. Here is my Vivosona as an example:

CHEX

Chex is based off of 039 Carno. As Carno is my favorite Vivosaur in the list, next to Spinax.

Some quick lore on Chex, they are a daredevil for speed. They crave the feeling of a good rush, rather it being in nowhere with no one for miles or being chased by cops through the dense streets. They always check the lay of the land before they ever do anything, as the only thing they would want on their mind is speed.

Now that's kinda what I put off as 'Vivosaur sona'. Based off of Vivosaurs and call it a day. But now I have been making some friends. So I want to showcase off more Vivosonas so that maybe I can inspire others to make their own!

If you do, I would love to see them! I will always keep my eyes out for anything Fossil Fighters! Even if you never played the game.

Dino character ideas! Just playing with shapes and colours here. Did these guys a while back but only now decided to share.

So I’ve started plotting out ideas for a fantasy world-building project about a bunch of dinosaur warriors that’s been rattling around in my head for a while. This project is really just me asking myself dumb questions like:

What if dinosaurs had opposable thumbs? What if cool extinct animals didn’t go extinct? What if dinosaurs built cool cities and civilisations? What if a variety of dinosaur clans had their own cultures and religions? How is dinosaur? Why is dinosaur…? AMMONITES!? TRILOBITES!! And many more questions.

The main goal of this project is to use this as a test bed to try new things, push myself out of comfort zones, explore possible styles or techniques, and most importantly - have fun! Not to take things too seriously, or put myself under pressure. Do that enough already…

So this thing is more focused on world building than an overarching narrative/story with main characters and that. Instead, I plan to treat this project like it’s an encyclopaedia documenting the various clans of dinosaurs and their way of life. Though this could change in the future. But we’ll see.

This is something I’m most interested in committing to at the moment, so don’t be surprised if you see more of this stuff here in the future!

This has been a bit of trial and error, but I am getting a better understanding of rhythm in Cel animation. This is just Key Framing but I do believe I am getting better and better as I chip away at it. Here is a GIF without all the camera movement. It's just the scene.

I updated Deliah and Harry's clothes to match the 90s setting and changed their poses to better define their characters. I also updated Deliah's Dad's body type (the old one was ass ngl). I made him heavier because all the characters in the OG S&D comic were twigs and I can't live with a non-diverse roster of characters.

I WILL add someone with melanin to the roster and you CAN'T stop me

Lastly, I made a rough sillhouette for Matt, Harry's brother. Honestly, I might add Matt to Harry's friend group just so I don't have to add too many new characters to the story. It could also explore Harry taking negative influence from his older brother. (However, this never happened in the original comic. Harry and his brother's relationship was never touched on all that much either.)
