I finished those chibi Vacuo Ruby designs I showed off earlier this month. I’m not too attached to them but I am happy they are completed. You can rip them apart is you want. Have a great day!!!

Right off the bat, the style- love how the hero mirrors a villain’s design! Wish people did this more-

But when I say Cinder’s design would’ve looked good in Vacuo, this is what I mean! Sleeveless shirt to keep cool, awesome gloves to get a good grip of a weapon than sand- and some combat shorts than a combat skirt! Wooh!!!

These two are specifically my favorite.

A good looking combat skirt and a cape/skirt that come together to make it look like a red dress is very beautiful to look at. I do wish Ruby’s boots were black to break apart the bottom of her.

And as for the goggles- silver eyes are important to protect from attacks of sand, makes her look more adorable too.

Overall, got nothing bad to say when this look feels like Ruby and is practical for a fight in the desert 🏜️

The smallest of nitpick is color but it’s subjective- red boots are neat and gold is neat even if black and silver are my go-to.

It’s got everything I haven’t even thought about, well done!

Winter Vol 7 Outfit Redesign/Edit:

Sorry for the wait, I wanted to critique this on a day off to properly say stuff about it than to rush :0

Now everyone knows how much I hate the “Spitting Image of Parent” trope in fiction. Winter did always read to me as Weiss but Older- but white hair and blue eyes are iconic to the Schnee Family so I’m happy you changed Winter’s color palette to not make her look like an Ace Op or like Weiss. Pale purple for the win than red or blue!

But I will say it is too many colors since we got white, black, blue, pale purple, and silver. The color patterns on Winter’s jacket could change-

As for the style- the corset and random belt to her shoulder was always distracting so simplicity does a lot for this as she still looks elegant yet prepared for combat. Even the jacket is both fashionable and practical for the harsh cold climate.

Overall, I like it! Winter feels like her own person with the colors being so different from Weiss and the Aces. If Weiss can stick to Red/Blue and Whitley in Gray, than the Schnee’s won’t look like clones but instead like individuals in the canon show who do happen to be siblings.

And once again, outfits can be simplified than overly detailed as it truly does wonders.

I swear we don't see the color pink in rwby anymore, it's either Nora or Neo, and Neo is gone now (and if there is post like vol 6 charas in pink, they sure aren't rememberable)

To my knowledge the last Pink Themed Characters in RWBY proper were Li and An Ren. Though I don’t blame you if you don’t think they count as pink themed characters.

The wiki doesn’t even acknowledge their last names in the Color Naming Rule section. Ren is Japanese for Lotus and when you think of Lotus you think of a pink flower with green lily pads around.

Li has no pink at all and An seems just about right to me but again, I don’t blame you if you don’t count her and assumed she was a green themed character instead like her son.

But at least those who like Pink can still be happy, meanwhile the ones who love the color Orange are dead in the water- and the ones who love Green are thriving.

Rwby has definitely lost its sense of colour, everything is like the same four shades unless they debuted early on, everything looks like a dull earth tone and half the time characters don't even have it on them!

You are correct, as of late the character designs aren’t very color especially hair but they’re not all bad, it’s just many suffer from looking like NPC’s on EARTH than on remnant aka RWBY’s world.

You got the really good designs where they play around with colored hair! :D

And then some who work better without needing a crazy hair color, it’s possible! :3

And then you got some that REALLY need a paint bucket splashed at them to look interesting! :/

The limit is 10 images but there’s Elm, Hazel, Watts, Tyrian, Leonardo, Terra, Cinder’s step mom and sisters, the Atleasian councilmen, Dee and Dudley, and more I probably forgot about.

They need to stop being timid when picking characters hair colors cause they made such an amazing world where the skies is the limit! Design REMNANT characters than to pick a default color and hope for the best.

I thought it was weird that a character named Tyrian (a type of purple) wears predominantly white and brown, so I recolored him. Didn’t change his actual design since I think it’s pretty good, except for those bandages on his arms. Have a great day!!!

It’s not that hard to just put him in purple-

THIS IS GREAT!!! HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT TYRIAN IN PURPLE?!?!? They didn’t even need to start from scratch with him just recolor the outfit, that’s all. RWBY has lore that’s tied to color because of the Great War, it’s important. Why are they afraid in making their characters colorful ever since?

But whatever. This is very nice and makes my life better.

Overall the lesson for the day is this… don’t name your RWBY OC’s after a color, flower, element, etc. if they’re not gonna have any visual ties to it-

Cause in the art world, it’s kinda illegal to have a character named Olive and then not have said character wear the pretty shade of green.

Or a character named Elm and Vine and uh… also not have them in a pretty shade of green either.
