the kings son | yeonjun x reader | fantasy | PT.1

summary: you are new to the kingdom angelic landing and are at the kings ball in hopes of making some friends. you can’t help but notice everyone’s eyes on you, especially this one boy.

as you were outside of the kings castle you looked noticed everyone in their well fitted gowns and neat suits. You were in a dark red puffy gown. All of a sudden you heard the doors to the castle open. You can see the guards on the sides of the castle doing their duties.

As you enter the castle you notice all of the accident paintings on the walls. They are mostly of landscapes, but there was this one you couldn’t take your eyes off. It had this women with beautiful auburn hair. She was lying in a river with flowers sprouting around her. The more you looked at it the more you were endured in it.

Before you head into the ballroom you notice a vase holding roses in the front of the doors. There’s a sign next to it. It says; “Please take one.” You take a rose and place it behind your ear. As you enter the ballroom you you notice everyone’s eyes slowly turn to you. Looking around confused you hear a woman laugh “Why my goodness! We’ve got ourselves a new royal in the ballroom tonight! She’s quite the looker.” You can’t tell if that was meant to be a compliment or her just being sarcastic. As you look straight ahead you see two dark brown eyes staring right into yours. You don’t move. Not an inch. You continue to stare into his eyes. You break eye contact when someone accidentally bumps into you. “My apologies!” You say bowing. They bow back.

You walk through the ballroom looking to find a seat. You end up finding a seat next to this woman in a light blue gown. She looks nice so you take a seat with her. “May I sit here?” You say in a polite tone. “Why of course!” The woman says. “Your gown is just breathtaking.” She says watching you as you sit down. “Thank you much! I couldn’t wait to wear it. This is my first ball so I thought I should wear something more out there you could say.” You laugh. “Your first ball? Are you new here?” She questions. “Yep it’s my first, and yes I’m new to the kingdom. I’m very excited to be here.” You say thrilled. “Well welcome to the kingdom. My name is Natty. What’s yours?” She asks. “Thank you for the warm welcome. My name is y/n.” “Lovely name! Now, no mean to rush you but I think we should grab you some drinks. Show you how fun a ball is.” She says as she stand to grab my hand.
