Are there festivals going on?

"Not currently, although fairly soon we'll be beginning preparations for the start of summer." Logan put a hand on his chest as he elaborated unprompted. "Naturally, I'll be assisting in many of these preparations, since I provide the most order in essentially every function I participate in. The warmer months, however, are more under Romulus's jurisdiction, so he will be taking a more active role in that."

You managing it, Logan, right?

"Yes, that is correct." Logan gave a small nod. "Like I said, I am responsible for such things as the passage of time and control of the weather. I also assist in the design of the stars and constellations, although that is not something I am particularly skilled in. My primary job, however, is keeping track of growth patterns and guiding others in order to ensure a balance so that nothing goes out of control."

You did the works here? It looks amazing!

"Oh, no, you misunderstand." Logan held his hands up in front of him, waving them a bit as he shook his head. "Romulus is the one responsible for the creation of the forest. I simply handle maintenance, things like time, for example, and the weather."

"You say simply as if that's an easy task," Romulus commented.

"Well it's not nearly as difficult as your task of creation," Logan countered. "Not to mention that I have assistance in my tasks."

Romulus shrugged. "So do I. And my job comes easily to me, so it's not all that difficult."

Hello everybody!

Romulus turned towards the newcomer with a warm smile on his face. "Well, hello there my dear. How are you doing on this beautiful day? Enjoying the scenery?"

"Romulus," Logan gently chided. "Are you trying to brag about the forest?"

"Why shouldn't I?" Romulus playfully shot back. "I did the careful work of creating this world, I should be allowed to be proud of that."

Logan raised an eyebrow. "You did the work of creating it, but I do the work of managing it."

"And you should be proud of that!" Romulus chuckled as he refocused his attention back to the newcomer. "So sorry about him, I've been trying to get him to loosen up somewhat."

Hey Logan, I just want to tell you that your tattoos are really pretty.

“See?” Romulus looked over at Logan again, a grin on his face. “I told you they would agree with me, Logan.” His smiled softened as his body turned towards Logan. “They’re beautiful.”

Logan stared back at Romulus wordlessly for another moment, before slowly turning his attention back to the person in front of him. “Right, yes, well, thank you, for that, for the compliment.”

Logan, why dont you want to visit?

“I simply have much more pressing matters to spend my time attending to,” Logan said, adjusting his glasses.

“You literally have an eternity to work, Logan,” Romulus reminded him, momentarily turning away from a conversation he was having with another person. “You can spare one day to chat with these people, at the very least.”

A clear blue sky overlooks a peaceful forest, listening to the quiet sounds of activity within a village amongst the greenery. The people of the village pay no mind to the nearing sound of a multitude of wings descending into the village, accompanied by a pair of voices.

"Come on Logan! You can't just sit in the clouds all day trying to organize the lives of people you've never met."

"I'm quite certain I was doing so rather well before you insisted we come down here, so I don't see what the problem is."

"Look, these are my creations, Logan. I want you to appreciate them properly."

The pair landed on the ground in the village with that statement, two sets of five wings folding in as the villagers and the newcomers regarded each other.

"Just promise me you'll at least try to connect, okay?"

Logan sighed. "Alright, Romulus, I suppose if you insist. I just hope you'll allow me to return to my duties once we're done here."

Romulus smiled at him. "Of course, I wouldn't ask anything else of you." And with that, he turned and easily melded into the normal activity of his surroundings, leaving Logan to follow after.
