Thundercracker nodded, a little amused. “Actually, those bots are our size. They just turn smaller using something called ‘mass shift.’ The extra mass all goes… somewhere. We don’t really know where.”
Starscream was sitting with Thundercracker, lost in thoughts. This poor bot has the word tired written all over his face. He could practically count all the night he stayed awake thinking about something just from how deep that sad, exhausted gaze reached his spark. He knew that the war in his world has to also be as bad as his. He knew, that the young bod had to be tired from the never ending battles, searching for hope wherever he could. Just like Starscream. He wanted to get Thundercracker's processor off the war. And he tried with what got his own processor from it. Light.
Starscream: "So...have you ever seen a lava lamp?"
He pulled out the little night lamp from his cockpit. The air bubbles moved so delicately in the light.
@mothscream
Thundercracker glanced over at Starscream. Not his Starscream. Someone else, from some place far away. And yet there was something still that might have tied them together. The endless agony of war and the unspoken exhaustion that sat heavy between the two of them, burning and burning. They were both so tired.
He perked up at the other seeker's words. "A lava lamp?" Thundercracker asked. "No, I don't believe I have."
Thundercracker watched as Starscream took something out of his cockpit. It was a small cone shaped lamp, with colorful bubbles inside that moved up and down mesmerizingly. Watching it was somehow calming. He liked the delicate, warm glow it put off, lighting up the space between them. "It's beautiful."

Fun fact!
This goes for Thundercracker, by the way. :3
Send "Fun Fact!" and my muse will share a little fact.
"Well... I really like writing," Thundercracker admitted a little shyly. "I do it sometimes when I'm not so busy, on whatever datapads or paper I can find. I write poetry, plays, novels, really anything. If the war ever ends, I want to try to be a writer."

Thundercracker ran a digit down one of Megatron's many scars. He had lived through war, fought through it, but he had never before seen its effects laid so bare on a single bot. He could feel Megatron tense a little under his touch. After a few moments, he spoke.
Thundercracker listened to his story quietly. He couldn't relate to the specifics, but he too had been in similar situations over the many years. "I'm glad you were able to make it out safely," he said. Clearly not entirely in one piece, but the rest was implied. Maybe this Megtron was not his Megatron, but Thundercracker could not help but still feel a sense of loyalty.
As Megatron spoke again, gesturing to scars littered elsewhere on his massive frame, Thundercracker listened carefully once again. "It's odd to hear you speak of your weaknesses... even if that was in the past," Thundercracker said a little boldly. He would have never said that to his Megatron, but something here felt a little different.

Send me "&" for my muses reaction to yours tracing one of their scars.
The tyrant was sitting on his throne in silence and he'd been there for a while. He wasn't expecting visitors at the moment but he did perk up when he felt a light touch on his arm. He'd look over at the light blue seeker who was touching one of his many scars. He had plenty of them and all of them had a story. He watched the seeker for a while before speaking up.
"Railrage... we were attacking a remote stronghold near Kalis when my forces began to suddenly dwindle. I thought it would be a routine supply raid, but the enemy was prepared. I underestimated their forces, but mine still did a number on them. Disposable drones are useful but they are weak and fold easily under heavy attack."
The tyrant motioned to several other scars, one on his chest, thigh and another on his leg.
"We met on the battle field. He gave me multiple scars during the fight and I was still learning at the time. I made mistakes, but despite them I still found a way to defeat my enemy."

“Huh,” Thundercracker replied. “I’ve never tried it.”
He had been forced to be a soldier and hadn’t gotten many chances to do other things.
"you're a thundercracker?"
She's never met one
@alexis-and-swindle
Thundercracker looked at the small human in front of him. He had not had many chances to get up close with Earth's native species in the past. He nodded hesitantly. "I guess I am. Who are you?"

Thundercracker looked curiously at the tiny bot, clearly Cybertronian but smaller than any he had ever seen before. They certainly didn’t have minicons or any equivalent in his world! The bot was in a costume that resembled an earth creature- the same one Starscream looked quite a bit like.
“Nice to meet you, Swindle,” he said. “That’s quite a nice outfit.”
“Wow… It’s like a symbiotic relationship,” Thundercracker added. “Like cassettes and their carriers.”
He was very curious about other worlds and what they held. If he hadn’t been a soldier, he would have badly wanted to be a scientist.
Starscream was sitting with Thundercracker, lost in thoughts. This poor bot has the word tired written all over his face. Thundercracker blinked and Skywarp was gone. In an instant, they had returned with two cubes of unfamiliar looking energon. He took it gratefully, the wind from the rush of teleportation still brushing his plating.
"Sure," Thundercracker said a little shyly. He just wanted a moment away from it all.
Thundercracker approached cautiously. He had spotted the bright purple of the other bot from far away. His optics had been fine-tuned in the past to spot that exact shade, to look for Skywarp - his Skywarp - on a chaotic battlefield or wherever they might have found themselves. Thundercracker had not seen Skywarp in six months and a long and lonely six months it had been.
And now in front of him was someone who looked so much like his Skywarp that it hurt. But Thundercracker knew better by now. This was a stranger, someone he didn't know, who didn't know him. His Skywarp was long gone.
"Hello," he greeted. "I - Sorry. You just reminded me of someone I once knew."
-@the-bird-in-your-window
Skywarp: "Well would you look at that! Another seeker. Why haven't I seen you in my force? What's your name?"
Their arm snaked around Thundercracker's shoulder in a friendly manner, trying to come out as a calm and cool leader of the seekers. Trying to be better than the last one. Trying to be better than Starscream.

Thundercracker's optics were still fixed on the small lava lamp. Watching it was soothing.
He cocked his head in Starscream's direction upon hearing the other's words. "Minicons? What are those?"

"It's called an outlier ability," Thundercracker explained. "It's just something we're sparked with, I think. No one really knows."
Skywarp's mention of other dimensions intrigued him greatly. Did that exist in other worlds? Did it exist in his? Was the explanation for Thundercracker's own ability just something he was sparked with, or was it more exciting than that?
"Oh, no, it's alright! I like to talk to people and... learn. It's been lonely here recently. And yes, of course a cube would be nice!" Thundercracker said hurriedly. He hoped he didn't sound too desperate. He just wanted to talk to another seeker, with Skywarp gone and Starscream more and more distant and paranoid. He just wanted something to feel normal again.
Thundercracker approached cautiously. He had spotted the bright purple of the other bot from far away. His optics had been fine-tuned in the past to spot that exact shade, to look for Skywarp - his Skywarp - on a chaotic battlefield or wherever they might have found themselves. "I... Yeah," Thundercracker agreed quickly. It wasn't the entire truth, once again, but the distance between himself and whoever this world's Thundercracker was was appreciated. Maybe it would help put some distance between this Skywarp and his own long gone Skywarp, too.
He gave a little shudder at Skywarp's next words. Thundercracker had met Starscream already, far away on Earth, but their Thundercracker must have been missing. Just like his Skywarp. Was there... was there a world where they were all together? Or was that just another dream gone on the wind like smoke?
And you remind me of my Skywarp. Maybe that's what he should have said, but for some reason Thundercracker didn't want to think about his former trinemate anymore.
"I like you too," Thundercracker amended quickly. "Teleportation, right? It's the same in my - where I'm from. I know someone like you too, is what I mean."
Thundercracker approached cautiously. He had spotted the bright purple of the other bot from far away. Of course he doesn't recognize me, Thundercracker thought. We're from different universes. Still, it was so... odd, so... painful, to be treated like a stranger by someone so achingly familiar.
"My name is Thundercracker," he said. "I'm not... from around here." That wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the truth either.
Thundercracker froze at Skywarp's touch. It was familiar, but not. Yet he could not help himself as he leaned into it.
