“I see…” He begun, observing Elly with an amused smile. It had been some time since she had graced him with her presence, and he would be lying if he claimed to have not missed her. There was something about her personality that was rather infectious, and she somehow was always able to put him in a good mood.

So of course, despite not really knowing how to properly behave around her, he tried his utmost best to act in a somewhat normal fashion. (Quite hard considering he was a former, acting Shogun!) So, as he found himself taking the spoon from her, he made an attempt hide his embarrassment at not realising her plan sooner.

“I should have assumed that, shouldn’t I? Heh. I’m sorry, I still struggle even today with seeing in between the obvious... Have you made yourself quite comfortable there?”

There was a smile playing on the lips of the Young Shogun as he tilted his head towards the young woman. After being presented the sweet dish, that smile only grew wider, and he found himself gently reaching out to clasp at the plate that was being handed to him. He felt warm hands underneath his own, paused, but then continued with the action. After setting the delicious food down on one knew, he turned to her with a gentle gaze, and spoke with his usual softness.

“This is a very kind gesture, but I do not think I can eat it all on my own. Please, sit and share it with me. I insist.”

“Please stop that at once! It’s childish and quite frankly, embarrassing to watch you behave in such a way.”

The words were spoken in an irritated manner, the Young Shogun now scowling in the direction that he assumed Spades was. It didn’t help much that her voice seemed to echo slightly as she teleported in front of him, catching him off guard in a way not even he could predict, and making him flinch after a brief moment of utter surprise. However, once she began to speak again his scowl turned into an uneasy grimace, and there was an involuntary flinch as her tail met with his cheek.

“E-Excuse me?” He stuttered, now attempting to move backwards. “What in the world are you trying to imply here? I am not one you can simply corrupt with mere words, and I find myself doubting your actions will mean much either. Because unlike you I quite enjoy my innocence facade, it’s a useful tool to have in fact.”

Akihiko headcannon: teacher

- If he had not taken over as the Shogun after his Uncle’s betrayal, and Grandfather death, Aki would most likely have become a teacher of sorts. He was raised to be a smart young man, well-versed in many areas of study. These included; Swordsmanship, martial arts, economics, calligraphy, Japanese history, gentry, cross-cultural relations, and he was also interested in addressing the social issues and concerns within the land his family ruled.

With his capabilities and drive, he would have made a rather fine teacher! In fact, he occasionally runs classes for the younger servants (and even Masters too!) That aim to give them practical skills to use in such a bizarre, modern world. He’s not the most patient of people, and can get quite snappy when others cannot learn at the pace he is teaching at, but he’s got a good heart and will always try his best to accommodate for others.

For his efforts, he’s been designated the role of “temporary educator” in Chaldea. Something he’s quite proud of in fact.

The Young Shogun did something, something he wouldn’t usually allow. It was an action that was reserved for private moments so he could save himself the embarrassment of others hearing it. But with Spades’ words still ringing in his ears, he couldn’t help but allow the noise to slip from his lips in a rather unorthodox manner.

Yes, he actually snorted in contempt.

“Hah! Please, like I would ever consider you, or your crime syndicate ‘lovely’ and ‘respectful.’ The words used were not of my own. In fact, the mun was rather insistent on taking control. Something I now regret in allowing them to do since their poor choice of vocabulary has inflated your already rather large ego.”

With that he turns, though not before swatting at Spades’ hands in an irritated manner. He might be blind, but he can tell when another is trying to belittle his magnificent, regal composure with petty hand pokes.

He will not fall prey to their antagonising nature. He swears on it!

The Young Shogun practically flew out of his seat in surprise as he heard the voice of a young woman behind him. He had not even heard her approach, which struck the blind man as unusual, since he prided himself on being very aware of his surroundings.How... How did he not notice her?

He shook his head in amazement, not even registering the words she had uttered. It wasn’t till he had fully composed himself, that he was finally able to speak again.

“Ah- I suppose it is(?) One would never think that gunpowder and flowers would mix well together and make an appealing scent, and that saying; even in today’s world where people concoct the most absurd of ingredients together, and market it as fashionable perfume or aftershave... What is odd however, is that you chose to comment on my smell rather than a simple greeting. A ‘hello’ would have worked just as well, you know.”

He shook his head again, but this time he appeared more relaxed. Akihiko even had a smile playing at the corners of his lips, something that could only signify his amusement at the encounter he was just beginning to experience.
