I'm really concidering just completely retconning Dent from Openmind

Not that it really matters if I mention him on here or not cuz I doubt I've ever mentioned him before....

He's leftover from the way way beginnings of Avaro's character back when I first came up with him. .... I forget exactly how I came up with Avaro but I know I took some inspiration from Ripto from Spyro Ripto's Rage. Yeah Rex and Dent are basically knock off Crush and Gulp haha.... Rex has changed a LOT since his first creation. Like he used to be a dinosaur thing with a club tail cuz I'm very uncreative and now he's captain of Avaro's army.

Also...... wait.... didn't I rename Rex Feridae...? I can't even fuckin remember.....

Feel like this guy belongs here too. This is one of my first drawings of their concept! Along with a still unfinished one in my main sketchbook...

I don't think i've talked about him yet, but his name is Seer of Ill Fates and he's related storywise to Small Spark of Hope. All beings like them have that name motif which yes I got the idea from Rainworld cuz those names go so hard and i wanted to try my hand at some. I don't think I've said anything about Small Spark of Hope either... They're like these gods/aspects of their world with different jobs and such. Seer's is to witness the lives of mortals destined to die horribly, Small's job is to induce sparks of hope in mortals.

I'm thinking about blending them into the world with aspects that have more simple names like The Socialite. Don't ask me how I'm gonna blend those two different motifs in a way that makes sense...

Drew Seer of Ill Fates in my little notebook I keep in my jacket! This specific drawing was left unfinished for months in there cuz I just could not figure out how to draw his arm connecting to his body while holding up his eye. But I think I figured it out now! He's still in the early early stages of his design but ive been making efforts as i've said before to just draw a character without necessarily streamlining their design first.

Want to post this here as well because this doodle pretty much sums up the triplet's dynamic with one another and I forget if I ever posted the old one...

Redraw of an older drawing but this time it's done traditionally~~ because I love making things harder for myself. .... And also because I want to fill my sketchbook up with more drawings because it's feeling so empty from me never drawing in it.

I really hope that I can take my sketchbook with me to pass the time when I get a job...

Currently slowly but surely going through my notes app and came across some stuff about my Adalisk OC and while adding it to her google doc's ref, I got the urge to draw her again. Still not ENTIRELY sure on her design, buuuuut I'm seriously thinking of naming her Reader now. For a multitude of reasons in all honesty;

One of her elements she creates is the Mind element that allows you to read minds and even later on after training actualy mind control others so it's like short for Mindreader,

And due to the direction I'm going with her plotwise, she ends up getting stuck while using her newest created element, Space, to make a portal to another world out of curiousity and ends up stuck someplace between dimensions(Kind of like with Seeraphine's character Bajeira's sister Paetha who made a portal to another world but the portal collapsed after she stepped through. (ooooooooo now I kinda wanna draw them both meeting in the inbetween)). So now she can only really "travel/move around" using astral projection via her mind element. So much like readers of a story book, she can merely watch events unfold in worlds with little to no ability to interfere.

Also I'm debating keeping her a pure fan-adalisk or not... Cuz I was thinking about doing something interesting with her in my own stuff... But thinking it over now as I'm typing this, I'm gonna still keep her as an Adalisk for now.

What I DO know, is that I want her to explore other worlds with her astral projection and observe their inhabitants and their lives and I ALSO want to include the fact that anyone who has some sort of pyschic abilities in any of these worlds can hear and even in some cases see her!

It's always fun to think about how your different OCs would act if they met characters from media you like but it's ALSO fun to think about how different OCs from different stories would interact with each other.

Like for instance, I was thinking earlier about how Goose and Fiasco would interact (it's not entirely outside the realm of possibilty since Euphoria is attached to different dimensions and can be used as a highway to travel between them). If he tried to lure away any of the children under Goose's care, she'd 100% punt his fae-wannabe ass into the sun.

This time on debating and questioning established stuff for my guys!

I'm seriously debating removing Avarice's mind control powers.... Because giving her both another form to trick and manipulate others AND mind control feels like A Bit Much for one character...

I suppose I could always nerf her mind control and make it only work on people with a lowered guard. Hence the sweet innocent facade form.

Could also serve as a reason why Fearmonger(still coming up with an official name for that demon faction... The Foreboding maybe....?) hasn't placed her higher in the ranks. Could also contribute to her inferioty complex and need to impress and get the attention of the higher ranks...

Changing the spelling of a character's name or just changing their name in general is always such an ordeal...... Cuz you get so attached to the old name sometimes and you grow so used to calling them by it that's is SOOOO HARDDDD

That being said, I kind of want to change Avaro's name spelling to Aevero or Aevaro.

And also Lophi's name to Lophea

..... And i've been on the fence for a while over renaming Zira to Sonder but it just feels like sacrilege to change their name at this point....

And here we have some actual illustrated interaction between these two sweethearts! I forget if I mentioned it already in a previous post, but they regualerly get together and have tea and talk about art and other things

As stated in the last post, I'm trying to just draw my OCs even if they don't have a fully thought out design just yet.

These are Tess and Taeljeir! I've had this specific drawing in my head for a while now and I never drew it because neither character has an official design just yet... I'm shaking off that mentality though and I'm just drawing them as they appear in my head atm

Since most free png makers are dogshit, and the site I used to use to pngify my drawings shit the bed, I've decided to take matters into my own hands and painstakingly erase the background myself

And I also took the liberty of fixing up a few bits of the drawing as well!

Oh and props to meself for drawing Dire with his hood up for the first time ever ... To my knowledge...?

Did I ever end up talking about Scorch? I don't think I did...

Scorch is a half human half fire elemental. Yes I have somewhat thought about the technicalities of how a human would fuck a literal living fireball. It kind of works like Ponyta in the Pokemon anime where its fire mane doesn't burn you unless it doesn't trust you or want to be touched.

She's also the leader of a gang of various other non-human creatures. I was concidering placing her in Cyberpunk Supernatural but I'm still a little on the fence about it. She's very spunky and will 100% throw down if you threaten or offend her. She also has a signature nailbat cuz nailbats are cool and also she sometimes lights the bat on fire which is even cooler (She covers the bat in a fireproof varnish that's why it doesn't turn to charcoal.)

She's got a mostly human appearance but she has a tail and wings(that she can't fly with sorry) made of fire. Oh and she has various old burn scars littering her body from when she was little and still getting the hang of having bodyparts made of fire. She's got it pretty much under control now but there's still instances where she's singed pieces of clothing and that's why her hair is also consistently short cuz she keeps burning it by accident whenever she gets super uber pissed which tends to happen a lot...

Oh and OF COURSE she has a traumatic backstory cuz I do what I want.

Her mom died of... something idk what just yet when she was little and then it was her and her dad for a while. That is until her super traumatic event where there was a big flood somewhere idk where but they were both there for some reason oh and also the flood wasn't an accident. Somone caused it on purpose with the intention of causing harm to Scorch and her dad and she and her dad got caught in it. Scorch only survived cuz a majority of her vital body parts are human flesh and not fire but it still hurt like HELL cuz her fire limbs getting extinguished is like the equivalent of having a limb get cut off. She watched her dad get completly extinguished and die right in front of her tho ✌

Also also, Scorch isn't her original name her parents named her. It's a name she goes by in her gang to seem tougher cuz her actual name isn't very tough sounding. She's grown more comfortable with Scorch over time and started to dislike her birth name cuz all it does is remind her of her dead parents. Idk what her birth name is yet I haven't figured that out.

I do actually want her to have a line of dialouge having to do with her conception that's something like "Yeah I totally understand people's curiosity about how that works but I REALLY would rather not think about my parents having sex thank you"
