whats up y’all i have decided that organisation is NOT for me so im mostly retiring this blog and going back to posting everything on one blog

im not leaving writeblr of course i love it a lot but all activity will be coming from my main @jaysworlds

im hoping ill be more active over there because i feel more comfortable posting whatever bullshit i feel like, which includes rambling about my characters and wips

this blog is kind of dead anyway but i thought i’d stick an official ‘RETIRED’ notice on it anyway, just in case

my main has the exact same policy as this one; ie: ‘send asks whenever you feel like to ramble about whatever you feel like’

I took part in @writeblrsummerfest​‘s summerfest swap this year and I had a lot of fun writing about @quoththegayven​‘s OC Lu. I left it a little bit too late to write quite as much as I’d hoped, so I ended up also making a little moodboard, so I hope this is alright :)

The beach is cold, and Lu isn’t sure why she’s come out here. The others are all back at camp, talking and laughing and making plans, and she knows she should be helping, she just … can’t. Not right now. They’ve been busy all day, and she feels stretched thin, exhausted. The chatter is too much for her, and so she made an excuse and left.

There’s going to be sand in her shoes when she gets back, but she doesn’t care. Shoes can be cleaned.

The sound of the waves is calming, soothing her grated nerves, and she spins one of her rings around her finger, looking out over the dark sea.

The sun went down hours ago, but Lu likes it like this. It’s more familiar, and change is always difficult to adjust to, no matter how easy the choice may have been.

She’s walked far enough that even in the silence the chatter of the others is inaudible, and she’s almost relieved. She just can’t cope with conversation right now, the grating of voices and scraping of metal as armour and weapons move around.

She doesn’t know why she’s like this. It seems wrong, unfitting of a princess, even if she isn’t really a princess anymore. She still feels like she should act like one.

A princess would be able to sit with her friends for as long as she needed. A princess wouldn’t fiddle with her jewellery. A princess wouldn’t get overwhelmed from just some irritating sounds.

But no matter how often she tells herself these things, no matter how often she tries to force herself to be different, she just … she just can’t. Nothing helps, nothing but silence and time.

i have a Lot of stuff i could say ablut these two, because i love them a lot, but i'll stick with the basics

freddie: disgraced prince, runs away from home and his abusive father, saves alexei's life in the process

alexei: enslaved to freddie's family, runs away with freddie in order to save his people

they fall in love while wandering aimlessly through a forest and nearly getting eaten by a giant spider

they have a pretty rocky relationship at points, especially considering its illegal for them to be together, but they manage to work things out after a Lot of heartbreak and nearly dying
