I just finished my 6th (I think I dunno) listen through of tftgs and for the entire end of book 4 my brain couldn't stop latching onto the fact that Jack is just wearing a t-shirt that says "this whole apocalypse could have been an email" that was hand written on there by Jerry.

Like specifically the fact that Jack's awkward ass got up in front of his entire 10 year reunion and said all that stuff in that shirt and I just keep laughing at the mental image of it.

Finally posting my Rita tattoo!

I found sections of her descriptions in the books and sent it to my tattoo artist and gave him creative freedom and I LOVE it.

I wanted to post this forever ago but my cat dug in claw into my arm on her wing and I was waiting for it to heal. That spot needs touched up there now bbbbuuuutttt I'm about to move in a few weeks and need to pack so that's gonna be an eventually thing.

In-between wanting to look up references of decomposing bodies and decapitated heads to try and draw Jerry's head in the ice chest and also being afraid of ending up on some kind of list.

Currently suffering from a horrible sunburn after our vacation in Florida. I applied sunscreen so many times but my pale ass skin was no match for the Florida Sun.

Anyway out of Jack, Rosa, and Jerry who do you think gets the worst burns?

Jack: Dude is definitely pale AF and burns so easily. He definitely just avoids the sun at all costs, but if he has to be in the sun he'll only remember to apply sunscreen once (bedside manor let us know that he does think about applying it) unless Rosa reminds him to apply more. If they have a beach day he would just sit in the shade and read. Dude has also been through so much crazy shit that when he does get burnt he doesn't really notice it until it gets really bad and even then it's just more annoying than anything.

Rosa: Doesn't burn as easily but always remembers sunscreen. She's also the best at remembering to reapply sunscreen and helps the others remember to reapply as well. She luckily just tans more than anything, but if she does burn she always has aloe and other things on hand to help soothe the burn.

Jerry: Doesn't. Wear. Sunscreen. Not that he's against it or anything but he just kinda forgets? Like his ADHD just gets him hyper focused on the fun thing and doesn't realize his mistake until it's too late. With Rosa around he at least is reminded to apply it more often. Doesn't burn as easily as Jack and definitely has a bit of a preexisting tan from previous burns but if he's outside too long unprotected he can get burned badly. When he does get a terrible burn he does his best to act like he's ok so the others don't worry about him.

Gaston: goodest boi. Everyone makes sure he doesn't burn his paw pads. Hates doggy shoes and does the weird walk every time shoes are put on him.

Also I made a post like months ago about getting a tattoo of Rita. I got that and my artist did amazing. My skin just hates getting tattooed and the pictures he took right after it was done my skin is super irritated so I’m waiting for it to heal.

The most unrealistic thing about this picture is that I don’t run. I really enjoy doing draw the squad stuff and in honor of me being active store manager while the actual store manager is on vacation I decided to do this one for stress relief. Why is Jack running away with Jerry in a cart? Who knows? Will Rosa decide on bread? Probably? Where is Gaston? Don’t worry about it I can’t draw dogs.

This piece is also a bit lazier but it’s because all my energy is focused on running a grocery store and not burning it to the ground.

Tftgs Spoilers:

I just started listening to book one again and I had a realization that when Jack is at one of his appointments with Dr. V and the Dr. starts talking about that if Jack offed himself no one would blame him just make sure you keep your brain in tact cause that's all they need after he's gone. It hit me that in book 4 Rodger makes the comment that they only need Jack's brain and just holy crap Roger has had so much influence over Jacks life and just every time I read or listen to the books again just more and more dots connect.

Omg I just finished reading TFTGS for the first time (like actually reading it I've only listened to the audio books a couple of times before) and omg book four

Minor spoilers?

The addition of the editors notes throughout the book is such a small and cute little thing that I majority missed from just listening to the audiobooks. I get that it was probably too awkward to fit into the audiobook but I did at least recognize a couple that they were organically able to get in. The pre epilogue explaining the last page of the book along with the last page had me laughing out loud.

So if you were previously an audiobook listener only like me then you should definitely actually read book four cause you're missing out.
