🌿 The year is 1430 F. A. (Forest Age). Our setting is the Clover Isle, a world of mystery, wonder, and beauty. But it wasn't always called the Clover Isle, and it hasn't always been beautiful.

🌿 Nearly one and a half millennia ago, the race of Humans had built up a marvelous civilization that encompassed the entire Isle, known in those days as the Silver Vale. Tales of their glory spread far and wide. One moment they held complete dominion, and the next moment… they were gone.

🌿 The Isle is now dotted with ruins of that kingdom, and new races have claimed this land. Rumor has it that an object of great power lies somewhere on the Isle, waiting to be claimed and reactivated. Each passing day draws the Isle's peoples closer to the brink of an incredible revelation and the changing of the world as they know it.

🌿 Join the hunt for a mystical relic of the Human Age, explore the Isle to discover what happened all those years ago, or simply exist in a cozy place with your family and friends!

The Terragem.

A sacred artifact from the Human age– apparently indestructible– tested and held by the King– used to bring prosperity– land becoming waves like the sea– a long legend of how it was first found– and right at the bottom of the page, a drawing of something that was probably meant to be the Gem itself, twined in roots, and over it, words:

For sorrow or mirth, it is not to be known– yet the hand that wields the Terragem shall rejoice on that day. Seek, you lover of knowledge, and find.

That was several weeks ago. Now, word of the Terragem has spread to almost every corner of the Isle. The full range of its powers is still unknown, as the researchers will need a much more extensive dictionary to translate the page and time has rendered much of it illegible– but what IS clear is that this gem is an insanely powerful relic, and whoever gets to it first would be claiming great fame and glory as well as power. The race is on to locate it, but problems arise. It’s supposedly hidden in ruins– but there are ruins all OVER the Isle. It could be anywhere!! Adventuring parties are being put together, and news is travelling fast.

my cat hates taking his pills. the only way we can get him to eat them is to turn it into an elaborate pantomime - we take the packet out of the cupboard slowly and hold it up, saying “oh!! what’s this? what’s this? a TREAT? a TREAT for louis????” while making surprised faces. we offer him a pill… then, before he has a chance to sniff it, we wag our fingers at him and replace it in the packet so it becomes a Tantalising Forbidden Mystery. we continue doing this until he’s so confused and excited that he will eat the pill as fast as possible, just so he can find out what it is before we can take it away from him again. as soon as he’s eaten it he looks utterly disappointed and betrayed, like a child who just ate a delicious sweet only to find it was a chocolate-coated brussels sprout. it never gets old

LET'S GO!!!!! Picrew has started making me watch ads to get to content on the site and it's RIDICULOUS.

I still think the most devastating enshittification I've ever seen has been picrew. One of the few dress-up game websites left that's not flash-based and it's become DRENCHED in ads. You can't open the home screen without being blasted by at least three or four ads. You can't open two picrews in a row without watching a video ad first. When you have a picrew open the ads cover up the different options and sometimes even stack on each other so you have to hit like 2 or 3 different x buttons to get it to go away, only for more to appear seconds later. Evil world

What's TCI About?

The Clover Isle (TCI) is a fantasy/medieval-inspired roleplay server! The main story began many years ago with a giant kingdom of Humans that stretched from coast to coast of what was then called the Silver Vale. These days, though, not much is known about Humans. Something obviously happened to them, as the natural world still hasn't healed from the calamity that erased them. Elven scholars are slowly recovering bits and pieces of information from the ruins, hoping to create an accurate image of what Humans and their kingdom looked like.

There's still a very large piece of the puzzle missing, though. In the darkness, something slumbers, waiting for the right hand to raise it to light once more.
