The Seed Pokémon

Hailing from the Kanto Region, and first debuted in Red and Blue, Ivysaur is the middle stage evolution of Bulbasaur, the grass type starter Pokémon of the game.

Ivysaur are 3’3", weigh 28.7lbs, and can be male or female.

Ability: Overgrow - Powers up grass type moves when HP is low

Pokémon Red Dex Entry: “The bulb on its back grows as it absorbs nutrients. The bulb gives off a pleasant aroma when it blooms.”

Pokémon Blue Dex Entry: “The more sunlight Ivysaur bathes in, the more strength wells up within it, allowing the bud on its back to grow larger.”

It has weaknesses to FIRE, ICE, FLYING, and PSYCHIC.

Ivysaur evolves into Venusaur at level 32.

Hailing from the Kanto Region, and first debuted in Red and Blue, Bulbasaur is the grass type starter Pokémon of the game.

Bulbasaur are 2’4”, weigh 15.2lbs, and can be male or female.

Ability: Overgrow - Powers up grass type moves when HP is low

Pokémon Red Dex Entry: “It carries a seed on its back right from birth. As its body grows larger, the seed does too.”

Pokémon Blue Dex Entry: “For some time after its birth, it uses the nutrients that are packed into the seed on its back in order to grow.”
