Drabble - Mahou Showdown chapter 1 | the beginning - part 1
Mystic Metropolis. The city of magic. It's one of the few places in Teralys that is bustling with all sorts of people capable of using magic, from wizards, mages, witches, to archers and others capable of using magic as a means to aid them, to magical creatures that roam around the city, to the average person just using magic to make their day easier. And of course, the youngsters at the school of Streafose, where all students learn to master their magic.
"Monday, again...? Eugh. Can the weekends be extended for another week or two?"
Such as this young lady, Tsukine, right here who woke up from her alarm at 6 in the morning. Quite a deep sleeper, isn't she? As she turned to her side, covering her ears with her pillow, she could overhear her mother speaking up through the door just when the sunlight starts shining on the young pinkette's face.
"Wakey wakey, Tsukine~" Her mother spoke up with glee, "You lunch is ready and it's a big day today~"
Tsukine, groaning from the light turned back around and slowly opened her eyes.
"I'm coming--" Tsukine spoke up after letting out a yawn as she looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall with a slight annoyance, before softly mumbling under her breath.
"...You win this time, mr. clock."
She started to put on her slippers before standing up and heading out to the kitchen downstairs.
Once she made her way there, the light thumping from the steps caused her mother to pick up on it.
"Ah, good morning~" Her mother said, beaming a smile as she placed the plate with Tsukine's lunch on the table. "Did you sleep well?"
"Boy, do I wish that was true." Tsukine spoke up, stretching a bit after she took a seat, still rubbing her eyes. "I've been studying all night for this week's test. Something about ley lines or something like that."
Her mother couldn't help but lightly giggled as she gently patted her daughter's shoulder.
"I'm sure you'll pass the test." she said before taking a seat on the opposite side of the table. "And besides, You can always ask me to help out with it. If I'm not mistaken the test starts on a Friday, so you have plenty of time to learn."
"Don't remind me.." A soft sigh escape the pinkette's lips as she took a sip of her glass of lemonade. "I've just barely passed this class and it's not like it's the only test I have to do. Fortunately the one coming up in Wednesday is art class, which will be a piece of cake, but it doesn't make magicology class easier. Not when each class is so dull. Have you seen the snoozefest Mr.Owlington brought to the table?" She paused for a second to take a bite of her lunch-- humble sandwich with meat, veggies, lettuce and a little bit of mayo. "A few of the students were dozing off or couldn't be bothered to focus on it. The amount of times I almost fell asleep in class is crazy!"
"Well, while I can't help with your teacher problem..." Tsukine mother paused, her beaming smile turned gentle. "...But maybe you can study it in bits instead of the entire thing. Write it to make it more digestible. I know reading isn't fun, but taking notes does help, don't you agree?"
"Hmmm..." Tsukine began to think. It took a few seconds, but sooner or later, she let out a soft sigh. "...Okay, I think I'll try it." She responded softly, before looking at her mother again. "Thanks mom, I forgot that I can always write things down, but most of the time classes go by so quick that we don't have much time to write it down. But I'll try."
"Well I'm glad to have convinced you to try it out, sweetie. I'll be getting some groceries soon so I'll make sure to get you some extra notepads, alright?"
"That's fine with me, mom--" Tsukine responded with a nod, her smile slowly forming around her lips as she finished her lunch.
"Now--" the mother responded. "You should get dressed and ready. You can't be heading to school in your PJs, now do you?"
The pinkette giggled with a nod. Right. Studying in her PJs is good at home, but it would give her a weird reputation in school if she does it everywhere else.
So with that, she goes to the bathroom to quickly wash herself, brush her teeth, comb her hair before dressing up in her uniform using her magic to change clothing. In just a few minutes, she packed her bag, before going out to school after she told her mother she'd see her later.
Tsukine quickly greeted the neighborhood with a wave and a smile to each of them as she made her way to the nearest bus stop. As she was waiting for her bus, she noticed two people waving at her. One of them was one of her classmates-- a brunette and a taller male of the same haircolor.
"Hey, Tsukine--" The girl spoke up. "G'dmorning-- how's the study today? Let me guess, focused a bit too much on designing clothing again?"
"Ah, yue, Adrien-- good morning to ya too.." Tsukine responded with a slight hint of annoyance as she heard the question, rolling her eyes to the other. "Ha ha, very funny." She continued, lightly shaking her head. "And god, you know I dislike studying for the magicology tests. And to think I had an interest in that topic in the first place."
"Is Mr. Owlington still teaching the class to sleep?" The male spoke up with a light chuckle. "At this point I feel like at this point we should nickname his class the Mr. Owlingsleepsaton class."
"Might as well be." Tsukine let out a soft sigh as she looked at the direction where the bus should appear. "You know, I'm always surprised how Streafose has him as a teacher. I'm even more surprised you've managed to pass his classes. Didn't you get bored with each and every class of his back when you studied there?"
"I'm afraid that's just what we all have to deal with when learning magic. Magicology isn't an easy topic to make it enticing regarding how it functions. But it's essential to make magic work. If we can't understand it, then at best we can use like very basic magic spells or only use magic potions." Adrien adjusted his glasses, before back at the pinkette. "Which is surprising, cause you seem to be able to use that clothing magic of yours with ease."
"Yeah, that's what I find surprising too--" Yue responded with a nod. "You're barely able to focus on Magicology classes, yet you're capable of using that magic. Y'know, it's kinda weird when you think about it."
"Weird?" Tsukine raised an eyebrow at that statement, unsure of what to make of that. "Well maybe this whole theory thing on Magicology is probably a bit bogus to begin with. You think so too, Mr. Magic Researcher guy?" She cocked a raised eyebrow at Adrien with a grin, wondering how the other would respond.
"Ah-- I'm afraid that's something of a taboo regarding the study of magic." He readjusted his glasses as he took some notes. "Magic fundamentally is based off of the understanding of ley lines-- a study that's rather complex in it of itself. It has come to a point where some professors are now studying the relation of magic users and aura users."
He closes his notebook before looking back at the two girls. "But that's a conversation for another day. All I can say now is that professors are trying to look into the studies of magicology in hopes to make it more digestible for students. So for the time being..."
"...I have to stick with Owlington's boooooring lectures... Great." Tsukine mumbled, letting out a heavy sigh. "Let's hope I can pass this year's finals."
"I wish I can help out, but unfortunately I am employed at the Wizard's Association." Adrien responds, "So most of my time will be helping the fellow wizards out there--"
"Ohey!--" Yue interrupts him as she pointed at the bus. "there's our ride."
"Well then it's my que to continue walking then," Adrien responds before starting to walk away from the two with a gentle wave. "Have fun at school, you two!"
"Aight, later bother!" Yue responds with a wave before the two girls entered the bus.
Once they took a seat, they were overhearing voices from the fellow passengers left and right, with a lot of them talking about the same topic.
"Huh..." Tsukine spoke up. "Is it me or is there something going on that's becoming the talk of the city today?"
"Oh, you didn't know?" Yue responded, taking out a recent newspaper before pointing at the one article that states: Legendary hero moves to Mystic Metropolis. "Word's been spreading around that the legendary figure from olden days has come to our city-- Do you recall the legends of the Sakura Kitsune?"
"Uhhh..." Tsukine wanted to respond with no, but got swiftly interrupted by Yue.
"Legend has it that the goddess blessed a stillborn infant from the northern side of Lawain City with one of her great gifts. With that gift, the child was filled with life for the first time and grew up to be one of the swiftest soldiers of that city. There's rumors about her being able to use magic as well, but is known to use her sword more often than her magic."
"Uhuh..." Tsukine raised an eyebrow at that description. "...But you know those are mostly rumors-- and besides, maybe it's just all a lie trying to make people believe in it so the others who made that lie can profit off of their reputation."
"What?" Yue responded, raising her voice slightly in surprise of the other's words. "No-- I mean I guess there's a slight possibility, but there's enough evidence to believe she still exist! Heck, some were even saved by her just this week! How can someone who helps other be so scummy as to pretend they're someone else?"
"I mean I guess I can understand your logic, but--" but before Tsukine was able to finish her sentence, a loud and audible thud was heard coming above the bus, startling the passengers for a moment. The bus quickly stopped to a halt by the busdriver before they checked at their mirrors.
"What was that--" Tsukine spoke up, looking up at the ceiling wondering what it could be, but Yue was quick to see what was happening. She quickly tapped the pinkette and pointed at the direction of a figure that just hopped from the bus to the nearest roof.
"Look over there--"
"Hmmm?" As Tsukine turned to look at that direction, she noticed a pink haired person just landing on the roof of the nearest house. The person's features weren't much, it was clear that the person was pink, had fox like ears and a tail.
"Wait-- who's that stranger?"
"That's her, Tsukine-- that's the legend! Miss Hana herself!"
"Miss Hana, huh..." Well that was an odd way of traveling, Tsukine thought to herself. "That's some weird convenient timing right there. You only see such timing in stories like in manga or in comic books or in fairy tales...Certainly doesn't think why some things only happen in stories."
"Yeah," Yue responded. "But now there's something to talk about at school! Imagine what the others think."
"Right, the others..." Tsukine leaned against the glass a little bit, sighing. "They're probably going to make fun of us just saying that-- acting as if we're just making shit up. You know how those idiots are, right?"
As Tsukine's eyes looked at Yue, the brunette lightly sighed. "Well, you can't really expect anyone to believe what we say. But we can always ignore them, right?"
The fellow student was silent, but did slowly nod. It might be a difficult thing, but it was at least something she could try.
Once the two got out of the bus, they made their way to the school of Streafose, ready to prepare their average school day. Albeit, it might be a little out of average.

| Valkyries of the East |
“Not many people have seen Valkyries in their life and those that did even fewer have lived to tell the tale. If you see one during a battle, pray to god that the Valkyries will be on your side.”
On the eastern side of the planet in which Lawain resides, there exist a society of female warriors that brings judgement upon those who they see unfit to live.
These warriors– Valkyries, originated 2.500 years ago, originally as a special force that the military force of Lawain can call upon. Now they live to fight in the name of the goddess of life and death.
In times where they’re not needed or do not need to battle, they’re mostly staying at their home in the east side of the planet. Though there are those who wishes to travel. Those who do mostly are in it to expand their knowledge or to find a good place to either train or find a tavern/bar to buy a drink or two.
| Valkyrie titles
As a society of warriors, Valkyries are generally treated as equal, though even they are not without titles and/or ranks for strategizing purposes.
-Drengr:
The young beginners of the Valkyries. Those who start their warrior life are titled Drengr. Drengr’s are at most allowed to participate in quest just like the other Valkyries under supervision and in the least allowed to partake in quest that are mostly fetch quest.
-Thegn:
after a Drengr reaches the age of 21 or if they’ve got 5 years of experience, they get promoted to the title of Thegn. They’ll be full on Valkyrie warriors, able to go into any quest one would go in.
-Barricade:
Not much needs to be said about Barricade Valkyries. They’re Valkyries who’s purpose is to be like a barricade, blocking any attack an opposing force throws at them.
-Berserkers:
the tankers of the Valkyrie society, Valkyries with these titles are mostly best suited to fight solo as their more prone to make their rage burst and go into a state of berserk, hence the title.
-Iron Fists:
Valkyries with that title are known to have to be efficient with just their fists. A strike from their fist is as solid and painful as if you got struck down by something made of iron.
-Titans:
An uncommon title that’s only given to the giants of the Valkyrie society. Titans are known for their heights and very often their strength too. The title is only given to those who’s height is larger then the average height of their comrades. While it’s likely that there are titan Valkyries with immense strength, it is not a requirement as some titans are as strong as the average Valkyrie.
-Bahamut:
A rare title only given to those who have dragon blood in them as well as being worthy to wield the ring Gram, either by the previous wielder, or by the entity inside the ring.
-Freyja:
Valkyries with these titles are known to be the leaders of the Valkyries. Rarely are there more then 1 Freyja Valkyries at a time.

Hanaka headcanon - easily winded
Tumblr media
Hanaka is physically strong but boy was her stamina not up to par when she first started her hero work.
She got winded pretty easily, needing to take breathers here and there. She got a lot better with that due to her getting a coach to help out with exercises. That coach being her own mother, which made her exercise to the point where she turned her from a pretty winded girl to basically a ready-to-sleep kinda gal by the end of the day in the first few weeks.
In the end she did improve her stamina, but she is doesn’t want to feel that tired ever again, which is a motivation for her to keep exercising.

While Maroon may not show it, he may be jealous of everyone who has fathers that took better care than him with his dad. And while he did learn a lot of things during his training with his father, the fact that he got separated from the rest of his family for years all so that Maroon could train under him to become a god to take his place which is something he originally didn’t ask for and something that in his view could be avoided made him hate his dad with a burning passion deep down and wished he had a caring father like others have.
Tumblr media
He did grow to understand his dad a bit, but that burning hatred for him never ceased to go away. It didn’t help that he came back to Lawain– a place that when he got back had a massive prejudice against dragons to the point where there exist dragon hunters, after his father decided to awaken his dragon genes, causing him to gain the pointy ears and the crystal he’s now known for and got him to be known as a prism dragon.

Lil headcanon for Tsukine, but if you’re ever in Mystic Metropolis and are in search for some magic books, there’s a likely hood that not only the library has it in stock, but Tsukine has it in stock too.
She’s got whole bookshelves full of books related to magic, whether it be simple spells to magic spells that the most experienced of wizards take years to master. Tsukine herself doesn’t know all of these spells yet, but she loves to learn more magic based abilities, hence she keeps these books.

Maroon's headcanon: Heroes and heroics
Maroon's view on Heroes has been changed rather drastically ever since his return to Lawain City when he was ready to get back to Lawain city after the training 7 years ago.
Tumblr media
At first it was the same as any young kid, those that we know from the well known comic book heroes like superman, spiderman, batman, etc. In his interdimensional travels when he was just a kid even had him calling himself a hero because he felt like his deeds are heroic and he still felt that way to this day.
It was when he first saw his world's heroes that he realized that heroics really isn't what he hope to be after having some of the heroes try to strike him down due to his dragon genetics and it left him questioning what heroes are. Having met the dragons in the dragon tribe and getting to know them as family helped made him realize that the word hero is more opinion based than he first though it would be.
Now, with Maroon being more matured than he was before, Maroon doesn't consider the heroes of his hometown as actual heroes. If anything, he barely calls anyone a hero-- and even those who he feels like are heroes are moreso referred to him as guardians. The only one who is a hero in his eyes is his own little sister Hanaka, because not only is he aware of her heroic deeds, but also because of the fact that she wished to be a hero her entire life ever since she was a young kid and thus he respects her wish by calling her that.
As for Maroon calling himself a hero? He flat out denies it due to his past experiences with the heroes who tried to hurt him.
And while he doesn't want to admit it, he hopes that there do exist heroes who are like those in the comics, those who heroic deeds. Will he call these people heroes? Probably not-- even if they're the exact heroes from the comics he grew up in, but he will certainly call them guardians.

Maroon headcanon - Fury
Fury…
Tumblr media
I’m just going to say it, whilst Maroon can be angry, annoyed or pissed at times, deep down there’s a fury burning within him, a ticking timebomb from all the shit he’s been dealing with, ready to be unleashed.
Aware of how damaging one’s fury can be, Maroon doesn’t let this fury take ahold of him even at times he really wished to let it loose at some point. The only way he feels like it’s somewhat safe to lessen his fury is to use it as fuel for his overdrive as fury is an extreme emotion and thus able to used to fuel an overdrive, thus he looks for every way to use his overdrive: In battle, training, competitions or just in an empty space where no one will be harmed.
But even then there’s always some amount of fury inside of him. And depending on what has befallen, one bad day could bring that fury back to how it was before he used overdrive. His fury rarely if any goes out of control though. The only time that happens if one seriously injures his friends/family and especially his significant other. Hurt his significant other, then he will let that fury loose and will do anything, use every ability he has in his arsenal to his advantage to make the person who hurt his lover pay with their blood, their sanity and their life until all his fury is gone.
A close second way to cause him to let his fury loose it outright betraying him. In a world where dragons are considered an outcast, even him, he’ll rarely put his trust onto someone. So if he places his trust onto someone, they better not break that trust, for one who breaks said trust will never be able to fix a broken bond.
Whilst in his fury, he will without hesitation use his Berserker overdrive:  An overdrive of pure rage. The user decreases their defense to a minimum while increasing in power. The user won’t be in control over their rage and attacks like a beast.
The TL;DR of it: he’s a ticking timebomb of rage not to be messed with, for those who poke the dragon, will cause him to force them to pay with their lives.

I've kind of mentioned it to a friend a bit haphazardly, but now that it's been a few hours since that, I have some more time to finetune the idea. And I'm turning this into a headcanon/backstory thing.
Miku is afraid to quit because she is afraid to be alone once more.
Before she started her career as an idol she wasn't much of a person with a lot of friends, or any at all and with no real goal in mind back then with her career life other than to be known. She wanted to do something with music but she didn't know what.
It was sometime after she found out about KAITO and MEIKO that she started to get inspired by. They were already idols themselves, a duo as you would. The way they performed and the way they moved people's hearts was enough for her to be inspired and wanted to start her life as an idol, so she started to learn how to perform and sing since she had a knack for both of these things.
When she performed, she wasn't really liked well by the people. The people who were watching her performance didn't inspire much confidence by their lack of enthusiasm and she didn't know why, but there were a certain two that did notice her but didn't know how to reach out to her since she hadn't made it her official career at the time.
Months passed when she tried and still had the same result every time. People were watching but weren't really riled up. It sunk her confidence to the point she had gained a hint of stage fright.
Her confidence was at it's low a few days before she found out MEIKO and KAITO had announced to be recruiting a new member and they wanted to find the perfect member by having a singing trial. Miku wasn't sure on whether to partake in that trial with her confidence dropping so low, even go so far as to thinking that her biggest idols might even dislike her performance.
But she was concerned that if she didn't try and test herself in the singing trial, she might never be a part of their group-- the duos that she was inspired by in the first place. This could be a life changing event for her.
She had been contemplating on trying it or not, but in the end she took that chance. At first Miku felt like it was going the same once more, or worse since she was very nervous, partly excited, but mostly nervous on botching it again or so she thought.
The fear started to kick in the moment the two were wondering if she was the same girl they saw months ago. Hearing what their small banter was about almost made her break down. They asked to her if she was the same person that performed months ago. Miku was silent, but slowly nodded, before the asked to tell her a bit more about herself, which was when they found out they were not only her idols, but they also found out about what caused her to be like the girl she is now.
In the end they decided that yes, she was the girl-- with them acknowledging that she needs to regain the confidence she had in performing and more, which they were more than willing to. In a way, they saw her as a daughter figure to them. But more importantly, they knew that she had potential because of that performance months ago and they told her directly about it and complimented her performance back then.
This news shocked the tealnette, brought her to tears, which didn't help stop the moment the two comforted her with a warm embrace. They have some work ahead of them, but they were more than willing to help her out.
Back when Miku had no friends she was a quiet kind of girl for most of the situations, a bit timid at times. Now that she has people who she wanted to be around, people who she's excited to be with, it showed a whole different kind of Miku-- the one that everyone would know her for.
Her first performance with them was a month after they've recruited Miku and while she was a bit nervous and concerned, with MEIKO and KAITO she persevered and for once, Miku had experienced her first cheering crowd, even if she had MEIKO and KAITO as basically the star idols at the time, but even then she finally saw people starting to be moved by her performances when during the booth where she had to sign autographs with the two, she heard compliments, stories how they were inspired by her to do the thing herself, including two young blonde siblings that were really persistent in wanting to join the small team. One a young boy with a unique looking hairstyle, and a young girl who was the energetic younger sister with a rather big bow on her head.
At first they were trying to politely decline their request, but they were persistent, even weeks later they continued to request to join. MEIKO and KAITO started to think that they should call whoever parents they have if they even had parents. Miku, in her free time decided to personally talk to the two siblings. She found out that the siblings: Rin and Len, were orphans who wanted to perform just like Miku did, even if they did not know what that meant at the time.
They were inspired that someone like her could join what they thought to be a very popular idol team.
The mere mention that they were orphans made her heavily consider taking them under their wing-- not as idols, but just as kids under their care, but she decided it was best to ask MEIKO and KAITO about all of that.
They weren't sure about this but decided that they were so persistent that it's best to give them a fair shot and just move on from that. To their and Miku's surprise they had talent, even if at some point they flopped, but they didn't give up. Their performance not only as nice, but they had a sense of humor and a livelihood that the three thought missed in the team.
So partly due to the two's shock and due to how much they've brighten Miku's day, Rin and Len were recruited in the team, yet like with Miku had some guidance, with Miku acting as their older sister figure.
As more and more members came, the more Miku found people who were genuinely inspired and loved her performances, to the point where at one point the team allowed her to perform solo for once concert. Comparing the crowd's excitement from when she first started to now was a night and day difference, with the crowd now cheering her name on with glee, to the point where she had gotten more attention than all the others. With that, she became the face of the team.
She now have friends, fame, a career she enjoys. Though at that point they all had formed contracts to help improve themselves and get more famous by the day, which also meant that she was contractually obligated to do certain things too. Would she not, she would be kicked off the team, which in her eyes meant that she could very well risk being a nobody once more, without any friends.

A small Tear headcanon--
Tumblr media
Tear still has the sword she uses to practice ever since in her pre Angelic Buster days.
It's not a big one-- moreso a small one handed sword. She hasn't really maintained it ever since she accepted the first contract with Eskalade, but she still has it stored in her room somewhere as a wall ornament, waiting for the day she'll do some maintenance again and hopefully use it again.

Tear's headcanon #??? The meaning behind her name
Tumblr media
Tear, while she is known by the entirety of Pantheon for having her name due to her being easy to fall into tears, her name "Tear" didn't stem from that.
Her parents, like all Novae, are people who live in a partial warrior society as well as the fact that they revere their deity, the Goddess of Grandis. Some children's get names that sound tough or cool, while others get a more deeper meaning or names that is based off of people and or deities from other Mythos, with Tear's name being based off of the Norse god of war Tyr.
On top of that, her parents also named her Tear, as in to tear open a new path to victory.
With the reference to the Norse god of war and the meaning behind her name, it was almost fated for her to have met the ancient dragon warrior Eskalade who helped her become the hero of Justice and idol of the Battlefield Angelic Buster.

not long after Lawain was starting to be accepting dragons in the village, some of the people of Lawain were tasked in finding some more ground outside of the village to consider part of the empire. One of those who lead the search this time was Hono Hana, who find a spot that would later become Mystic Metropolis. This spot was inside the Mystical forest, known for its vast amount of mythical creatures. Though due to bad weather conditions, those creatures feared that they’ll lose their home. The people of Lawain noticed the state of the forest- It didn’t currently look as mystic as it used to be. It looked more like it needed some serious help. trees and plants were drying out, some plant life even were dead, so it was time to aid these poor critters.  The magic users gave the plant life some water, while the rest decided to find the nearest river, where they could then dig a channel around the forest. They were lucky to have made it in that forest just in time as the forest wouldn’t have survived if they were a bit later. Rain started to pour down on the forest, which gave the plants lots of water. The forest was finally safe and the critters were glad these kind hearted humans have came to aid the forest. Elves started to appear around the people, thanking them for aiding them as the elves didn’t had the resource like the people of Lawain had to help out the forest with this drying out issue. The best way was to bring the creatures to a place with plenty of water to go by The elves also reassured that they were able to speak their language as they were allies of the dragon race. Once the people of Lawain told the elves the original reason why they came here, to expand the empire due to Lawain starting to become overpopulated, the elves offered a place for the humans to expand their civilization in return for their aid when needed. They accepted the request, seeing that the first thing they saw a drying out forest. As the year pass by, the forest flourished more, with new locations being made such as Mystic Metropolis, Pixie Village and a kingdom known as Lilium.

| Important affiliations
| Hono clan:
The Hono clan had a very deep spiritual connection with nature as they were one of the few clans that was able to use magic. The goddess of life and death gave these spiritually pure humans the power of magic, with each decade a child of the clan will be born with a special gift of the goddess, giving the child a spiritual being for the Hono clan’s well behavior.
| Nobiru clan:
On the total opposite, we have the technologically advanced Nobiru clan, always inventing new technology to benefit the village and making sure no enemy will dare hurt the people of the Lawain, going so far as to even create ancient weapons to ensure the safety of humanity as the Nobiru clan didn’t trust gods at all and sees gods more of a threat then one they wish to worthship.
| History of Lawain City
| Beginnings
In the year 1.200, there was a small yet evolving village, one renown for it’s music, drinks and beverages. It was a village that akin of Japan in it’s edo-period, which also reflects on the architecture, religion (where they worship multiple gods) and in their government, where the ruler of the village was an emperor. Unlike the Edo-period, Lawain has been a progressive village when it came to one’s rights starting at that time, but when it came to the military, no one lady would be allowed to partake in the military. No one male or female would also be allowed to join if one’s not from a wealthy family. That was going to be changing change the moment Hana proved a simple young girl was more then capable of being of use in the military. Aside from that, the village was also known for the two most famous clans: spiritual with the Hono clan, as well as technologically advanced with the Nobiru clan. Though the two clans clash against eachother quite often with their different ideals on what gods are.
| The start of the dragon Era
In the early years of the village, the villagers in Lawain were surprised to see dragons for the first time as a flight of dragons discovered the village. Dragons were once mythical creatures that as rumored that they were both wise, powerful and dangerous when threatened or angered. However, it wasn’t the case at all as the dragons they met were actually one who wouldn’t kill humans as they weren’t born to hunt for humans.  The dragons were able to speak their language and the one who spoke their language the most fluently was a simple dragon who also taught the dragon chief the language. It turned out the reason they were able to talk the language fluently is due to dragons of that time being more or less very efficient thieves, being able to steal and grab things with ease. One of the things they’ve stolen in the past were a few books about the language the people of Lawain use. They’ve also stole some food in the past. It was a rocky start for the two races, but the emperor suggested that they would provide food and shelter in return that the dragons helped out the city. The dragons agreed as it turns out the dragons actually wished to aid the people of Lawain as they weren’t able to hunt for food productively. That and the technology they have been working on caught their attention as well. It was a fair trade for the humans and dragons and thus, this era was basically known as Lawain’s communication era between the dragons.
| Era of Peace
As the alliance between the two races strengthened, dragons began to integrate themselves more into human society, allowing them to learn the culture of the now established Lawain City. The human society learned of the existence of specialized crystals and learned how to harness it's abilities. It was in this era where the first few halflings were born, which had traits of both human and dragon. It was only after a few generations when the halflings were capable of transformation, giving them a full human form, a full dragon form and the halfling form. In this era there was a sharp increase in material harvesting, as well as inventing new equipment, leading not only to it's space age, but also the consequence of harvesting the materials as the region that was harvested dry became a near barren wasteland, giving it the name: The Silent Region. The peace didn't last as tension between the two factions grew regarding the issue of preserving nature, not long after the first Aura users were born into society. It only ended when the war between humans and dragons officially begun.
