An attempt at making Mango

According to one of my roommates it looks like the Duolingo Owl

Robot characters who are given names like SL-308-62 but instead of their human friend going Well let's call you Sally for short, they instead ask the other if they Like their current name.

"Do you like your serial number?" they ask. "Yes, quite. It reminds me of who I am" the robot replies. "I have heard others like me go by different names after some time, and maybe one day I'll choose one for myself, too. But right now that is my full name, yes" they continue.

Because it's not your decision to make whether or not the robot will receive a new name. It should be theirs only. What's the difference? One is more complex and the other is simplified. They were both given by strangers instead of themselves.

"62 will do," they conclude. "It's my model number - there will be no other 62 after me."

Update about the actual comic: I've been working on the prologue for the past couple of weeks! :D

But now I'm lowkey getting stuck on a very action based sequence + I won't have access to my drawing tablet for the upcoming month. In the meantime, have some silly screenshots of the silly sketches so far (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*.✧

Big fan of characters realizing they don't get to die. They have to live. And grow. And be a person. And deal with shit they thought they'd never have to. And be fucked up about it. I would like more of this. Enough dying for honor or as redemption. It ain't. You're just a corpse. There is no moral value in dirt time.

Used this pose as a base to try out different outfits (which took a WHILE), got stuck at choosing the colors, kinda forgot about it, got back to it when I was working on a new piece which required from me to finally choose a color palette, asked for and got genuinely good advise, ignored half of it, and HERE WE ARE :D

This is a representation of his likes, dislikes, outfit (not entirely correct but ssst), and inventory at the very beginning of the story (1st chapter).

Except for that it's not entirely true, because I started this without a plan. So the instrument: yea, that's not true. That doesn't happen in the first chapter. They won't even meet Void in the 1st chapter. YOU probably don't even know who Void is lol
