not 2 be #controversial but I truly dislike interpretations of Gilbert that make him Timothee Chalamet.... he was in a frat and captain of the football team at Redmond. where is my fanart of gilbert shotgunning a beer before desperately trying to write Anne a sonnet about her eyebrows

If you think the main draw to Pride and Prejudice is "enemies to lovers with a rich man" then you've explicitly missed the point.
The draw is "rich haughty man realizes the error of his ways, makes sincere attempts to rectify his mistakes, and in the end expects literally nothing in return because he does genuinely truly love the girl who rejected him and he didn't want her to ever believe she 'owed' him or that he did it merely to get in her good graces"

I came here for one reason and one reason only. And I am not leaving until I have turned up every single floorboard to find out whatever I can about my husband.

To anyone wondering if it's worth it to tear down fascist posters or whatever. I spent a few months last year engaged in silent battle with another student at my school who was putting anti trans stickers up everywhere. I had it down to a system where every night I would walk the five block radius they went up in, and tear down all the ones I could reach, and use a stick to put duct tape over the others. Like, within hours of the stickers going up, I would have already purged the whole zone. I knew the basic schedule of whoever put them up based on when and where the stickers appeared. I probably could have found them in person if I'd wanted to. And I told all my classmates and friends what the stickers looked like and got them to rip them down too. And after a few months of this, the stickers slowed, and then stopped forever.
My point is, a lot of this fashy or right wing stuff is one local weirdo. And if you pay attention, and do a little light organizing with your friends, you can basically make their efforts into a giant sisyphisean exercise in misery. You control your streets!

*excluding Brothers in Arms for obvious reasons. Give others a chance!!
Edit: I’m not including Brothers in Arms because it will win, hands down, and it’s boring to know what will win. We all know everyone loves that song and scene and episode, that’s not a surprise. I want to see what everyone’s other favorite song is. The runner up to Brothers in Arms.
When I made this poll, I was thinking in terms of the use of the music, but you can also choose based on your favorite scene, I really don’t care either way.
Also I’m sorry if I couldn’t add the song you wanted. Believe me it was hard to choose, but some had to take a cut. Take it up with Tumblr for only allowing so many answers. 🤷🏽‍♀️

The noble tradition of the plastic Vuvuzela to be Really Fucking Disrupting of, well, anything, really
I don’t think people in the US got this as much as we did over here in Europe and the rest of the football (as opposed to hand-egg) loving world. But this:
Tumblr media
is a vuvuzela. The football loving (or just tolerating, or culturally affected by) world met these things en masse during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. They were mass produced, they were fucking everywhere. They sound like this:
youtube
Over wide open terrain, perfect to summon your people for say, village council, which was what the original instrument was apparently used for. The plastic mass produced thing, in close terrain, is perfect to make it impossible for anybody to hear themselves think, let alone speak. Could it be perfect to disrupt a nazi, for instance if you are not able, for whatever reason, to punch him in the face? My friends, it just might be. Because these things were so heavily mass produced, at one point they couldn’t give them away. There is almost certainly still bunches of them sitting around waiting for the opportune moment, and the opportune moment is now.
If you’re someplace where nazis come to hate speechify (campus etc) get one. You don’t have to be super close for these things to be super effective, which is helpful if you’re not willing/able to get close up in somebody’s face - the damn things are just as disruptive from ten metres away.
It’s Vuvuzela revival time.
(Alternatively, I’ve seen collapsible ones on ebay and aliexpress for $2.50 and free shipping. Just saying)
