Even though medic is like constantly covered in blood and doing operations without gloves or frankly any PPE, I feel like he is a germaphobe.

This man had to literally break biology and take control of it through his medical experiments in order to feel safe. If he got a small head cold he would have a mental breakdown because a germ contaminated him without his permission. He would then ubercharge himself to purge the illness.
