“So...thank you for coming, I guess?” Yuri awkwardly accompanied to his front door. He stil struggled to process his father somehow smelled he did alchemy. It was a little weird to process.

“Don’t do any more alchemy, you hear me? I don’t care if your life is in danger, if he finds you and rises again this will be the end.” Kasimir had to lean down a lot just to be on eye level with Yuri, his legs long and lanky and almost unnatural.

“Got it....” Yuri awkwardly waved Kasimir out. He took one step, casually responded: “Thank you for the coffee.” And then went on his way to make someone elses life miserable.

Yuri sighed, then went back into hiding.

"This is definitely the worst I'VE seen! How did you get holes?!?! And where is your flesh, why is it just empty?!"

Kasimir huffed, pulling the gloves painstakingly back on. He refused to answer, not even sparing a glance at Yuri. "ANSWER ME!" Yuri demanded, giving his father a harsh push. Basically all of his fathers bones cracked at the sudden movement.

"You want a piece of me so bad, boy? Fine, you take one of mine and I take one of yours...."

He tried to reach for Yuri.

"..."

Yuri couildn't help but wonder what was happening to his father.

YOU'RE WHAT?! JESUS MAN I THOUGHT YOU WERE LIKE 70-ISH. DAMNNN.

"Tch. What are you getting at? This hardly matters." Kasimir muttered, averting his gaze.

"This isn't about me." He added bitterly.

"Show me your hands." Yuri demanded. He was the one that got into kasimir's face this time, jabbing his finger into his fathers chest.

Kasimir scoffed, having to hunch so he could even look down at Yuri, his gaze unwavering. "What does this have to do with anything?" he finally challenged."

"You can just show me if you have nothing to hide, right?

"...Fine."

Kasimir presented yuriw ith his hands.

"Gloves off!" Yuri demanded. Kasimir rolled his eyes, pulling at his gloves.

"What the-" Yuri's breath caught in his throat, his mouth falling open.

"DAD; WHAT THE HELL?! What happened?! YOU HAVE HOLES! IS THAT BONE?!?!" Yuri literally couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Hey Kasimir you ancient bastard how you doing and be nicer to Yuri he's had a rough day

"It's indeed been a rough day...Yet this boy is doing alchemy, it's like he is challenging that bastard...."

He got heated, so heated that he slammed his fist on the night table. It was eerily quiet, his rasping for breath sounded forced and painful.

"Yuri, you know he has it out for you! The demons will get you if you keep going like this!" he got way too close to Yuri, his eyes glowing in the darkness of the fog he was eminating, staring at his son with wide, shaky eyes.

"I know! I learned from last time, i promise! But you don't understand! My life might be in danger!"

"What else is new..." Kasimir challenged, tilting his head. It was followed by an awful crack.

"Dad....why do you look worse?"

"I do not. Maybe you are just going blind? Maybe you are stabbing your big hamster eyes out with tiny little needles? Or maybe you are hallucinating from the DARK MAGIC you are actively using!"

Yuri frowned, questioning: "Dad...how old are you?"

"..."

Kasimir didn't respond for a second, looking down at the ground as he pondered his answer. It almost seemed like he forgot himself, but finally he responded: "39."

"Are you kidding me?!" Yuri exclaimed, still trying to get free from Kasimir's grasp.

“GET AWAY FROM ME!” Yuri threw a pillow at Kasimir, scooting away from the bed as best as possible while still being half asleep. He coughed against the fog, his back hitting the door.

“Yuri, why were you doing alchemy?” Kasimir crawled over the bed and towards Yuri like a spider, his gangly limbs carrying him surprisingly easy. Yuri bounced off the wall, making some more distance again: “I had no choice! I have to defend myself somehow!”

“By doing his old experiments you will only bring him closer to you!” Kasimir scolded, finally grabbing Yuri by the shoulders and lifting him into the air with scary ease.

Kasimir was a scrawny old man, his clothes threatening to fall off his bony frame, yet his long fingers still managed to dig into Yuri.

“D-Dad, please- I know what I’m doing...why did you come all the way out here?”

“Yuri...why do you insist on this arrogance?! You’re basically challenging the demons to take you in your sleep and torture you for the rest of your existence!”

“Dad....how do you look even worse than last time? You look like you’re 70!” Yuri suddenly exclaimed, cutting the current conversation off.”

Yuri had been sleeping for a while, recovering from losing so much energy. It had been an exhausting day in general, not just with Colin’s disappearance, but also him being targeted by a malicious Kisaragi ai yet again. It wasn’t anything he wasn’t used to, yet he feared that one day he wouldn’t make it out with some injuries and trauma....

He slowly awoke, feeling a presence near him. He cracked an eye open, attempting to adjust to what he was seeing, the blurred images finally coming together to reveal....

“Yuri...”

Yuri’s scream was probably loud enough that the entire city heard it. He got startled so badly he rolled out of bed, getting entangled in the sheets at his father simply staring at him so ominously while leaning over tje bedside.

“JESUS CHRIST, PaPA! Open a window- you-” he coughed, attempting to cover his mouth with his hand. “You get- smoke- everwhere! I- I can’t breathe!”

Kasimir Kagarin tilted his head, very slowly, then turned to the window and cracked it open, observing his son with wide eyes.

“N-Nailed it-” Yuri rasped, effectively falling over after losing that much energy ata once.

It took a few seconds for him to snap out of it, holding his head with a groan. His eyes widened, marveling at the homunculus he created.

“.....Where?” she seemed confused, taking in her surroundings.

She was magnificent. Massive in height with incredible strength. And completely made out of metal, too! Yuri had no doubt that she would do well in protecting him!

She noticed him, deciding to walk over to him and help him up to his feet. Every step she took either shook the earth or left little dents and breaks in the boards.

“You alright, tiny man?”

“I’m f-fine. Just...tired. I created you and it took a lot of energy!” he chuckled good-heartedly, giving the girl a friendly pat on the shoulder. She was cold and the sound echoed through the room.

“You’re my old man?!” she exclaimed, seemingly happy. “What’s my name?!?!”

Yuri hummed, then declared: “hmm....your name is Phara!”

“I LIKE IT!” she roared in approval, giving Yuri a pat on the back. It was strong enough to push him to the ground again.

“Let’s go upstairs....I’m tired.” he suggested, getting picked up by Phara again.

"....FIne. Good one." he admitted reluctantly, sighing to himself. "Maybe I should build in a laughing track if I survive all of this."

He hummed, glancing at the different materials he had. He had vials of blood and water, bars of gold and metal and quite a lot of wood and clay.

He nodded, ultimately grabbing the metal: "I'll just use three of those. This is the strongest material."

He placed 3 bars in the circle, taking a bit of his own blood with a syringe. He dripped it into the alchemy circle until it glowed brightly, ready for the ritual.

Yuri took a deep breath and began, mumbling in a foreign language. His eyes slip close. A bright light illuminates the room.

"Maybe. Depends on how well this shit show will go!" Yuri commented casually, explaining.

"It's actually not so complicated. A hommunculus is made of different material, depending on what you offer the circle, you will get a different homunculus. For example, if you offer it only wood, you will get a tree! Of course, it also needs some blood to bound the hommunculus to you, a bit like accepting it as your own."

Yuri chuckled. "i know it sounds insane. But it works! I'm almost done with my preparations, then I will show you. I simply have to decide what materials to use..."

"Well, uh- it's a bit of a long story. Don't tell the foundation, you hear me? Zip it!" he made a motion like he was zipping his mouth shut, then revealed his notebook to you.

It was full of manic ramblings and the drawings of a madman, the ink scrawled across entire pages and depicting strange creatures.

"You see, my ancestor. He was a pretty bad guy. But he was also a great alchemist. I found his old studies and discovered a way to replicate te hommunculi he used to make in his time.

"I- uh-...I guess I just figured a homunculus would be a great way to protect myself with their supernatural strength. It didn't go well the last time, but that was only because I made too many. I know better now. I shall try to make a big and strong one that can protect me..."

He went back to mumbling, checking if he drew the circle right.

“It’s all how I left it...I suppose that’s a good thing...” he muttered to himself, descending down the stairs into his workspace.

Papers were scatteres all over his desk and some suspicious contents could be seen in jars that were placed in bookshelves. In the middle of the wooden floor an intricate circle in red paint was drawn.

“It’ll be fine. I just have to be careful....”

He placed a few candles outside of the circle, then sat down at his desk, beginning to sketch out some different things.

“Argh, dammnit...what should I do? What CAN I do?...How can I protect myself?” Yuri threw his backpack on his bed, beginning to unpack it. He still had the gun he stole from tsurugi some time ago, but he already used that against the ai. He had worked on it so it would function more as a smoke bomb, but the ai would expect. The laptop could always be used to smash into someone, but he knew there was no point. He had nothing.

He inhaled sharply, rubbing at his eyes. He felt so tired...

His head slowly turned to his study. He had used it for only a little while. But after that incident he had kept it locked ever sicne....

“...Maybe it’s time to change that.”

You're not a monster, Yuri, you'll never be, You're an incredible human being, a kind and sweet person. Trust me, you are not a monster.

"No, that's not true, this is a complete disaster. I'M a disaster! Some people become an ultimate because they're good at it! What do I get?! Generation-long despair that that can physically and mentally alter you as a person. Life is so fucking unfair. Everything, always, has been a complete fucking disaster." He looked up, emphasizing. "This is the third time a Kisaragi ai is making me trouble. Third. Time."

Give yourself a minute to unwind Yuri, it's okay. Things happen, people make mistakes and sometimes we do things that hurt others when we don't mean to. Just breathe and take a second to calm down. Please.

"Haha...thank you...this almost feels like old times..."

Thankfully he made it to his place rather quickly, slamming the door shut and locking all the windows. He was alone. All of his friends were out travelling or doing their jobs...it made him realize just how big the house was when he was all alone.

"I didn't want their last memory of me to be such a poor one...this might be the last time we ever see each other again and I pull this! I probably stressed them out too, this is all my fault..."

He barricared the door with the couch, gasping for air as it threatened to get out of control again.

Yuri! You're back?!

"I...think so...honestly, that lab sample Syobai took was completely pointless, it's so easy to get rid of..." he sniffled, burying his face in his hands as he continued weeping like a widower.

"Fuck, I blew it, everyone saw me, they're gonna hate me, they're gonna see I'm a monster..." he exhaled shakily, getting up to his feet again.

"Now they definitely won't help me...or want to see me...I'm gonna go home...and prepare, I guess." His pace was a lot slower now, his head hung low.

Yuri kept running, the occasional sniffle coming from him. He heaved and panted, stumbling over his own feet with just how fast he was running. He didn’t stop until the hotel the foundation was resting in was completely out of his line of sight.

Once he was far enough away he hid in a nearby alleyway. He slammed his back against the wall, panting frantically. His hands were in his hair, eyes wide, sliding down the wall. Finally, he rested his head and arms on his knees, weeping.

“I’m going to die, I’m going to die, I’m going to die....oh...” he reached up to his eyes, wiping under them experimentally and staring down at his tears in surprise.

“Oh...I forgot, of course. This stuff washes away with water...”

It was too bright, too loud, too much...He screamed at the sky, his tears flowing like a waterfall.

“Why do you always have to be like this?! Why do you deem it necessary to act like you do?! I got threatened by your fucking clone and will probably die, but still went out of my way to snap YOU out of your little trance and THIS IS HOW YOU ACT?! Why did I even bother helping someone that hates me.”

He quieted down, dropping the screen and turning around,

“I’m leaving.” He finally declared, his head lowered. It had no point arguing. “Farewell everyone.”

Those were his last words before climbing out of the window once more, running off to god knows where. It seemed like he was crying a little. So much for saying goodbye to everyone in a civil matter.

Maybe it was for the better, if they remembered him like this...

Someone was staring at the people inside the hotel room through the window, his eyes wide and scanning the entire room. This seemed to be the right room, finally, he was getting tired of climbing.

Yuri tapped at the glass, similar to how he did at the hospital. Seemed like despite this entire situation he showed up to repair Ag. He also didn't go through the door again, hopefully this wouldn't become a recurring theme...

The small group in the hotel room were acting pretty calm before yuri showed up out the window, Midori was the first to notice staring for a solid minute trying to figure out if she was actually seeing him or if she was just seeing things because of the remaining memory of the whole m!a incident. But no he really was there, and thats when she spoke up.

"Guuys, yuri's heere."

"He is?"

Midori pointed at the window and minako walked up next to her, kisa quickly following minako.

"What the hell happened to him!?"

"That doesn't matter!"

Kisa was not worried like the others, he was just relieved to see his friend relatively unharmed. He quickly rushed to the window and opened it, excited to see yuri again.

"Yuri you came!! I was really worried something happened i'm so glad your okay!!"
