Hey y'all!

I want to start off by saying - thank you all for all of the support this blog has recieved so far!! It means a lot and it motivates me to continue working on this project!

Updates from this point on will probably be slowing down, as I'll be taking my final exams next week and after that, I will be participating in ArtFight for the entire month of July (you can find me at VellieUTAU, if you wish to attack me!)

I'm definitely not abandoning this blog, though - as a matter of fact, I already have some ideas for Kasane Teto sketched out, if possible, then I'll try to post her ref sheet soon enough !!

Updated Rion's design!! (I apologize, I also don't like reposting the same five artworks 15 times, but I felt like the original just failed at both being 'original' compared to Rion's V3 design and it also felt like a lazy attempt at making her look like a nurse. Now, it at least it looks a bit more like it was intentional.

I also have Eri's ref sheet in the works, the lineart is almost done for it too!

Miki's concept art! (I only redid the thumbnail, but now that she is done, I can get to work on newer designs! Updates will probably slow down from now on, though, since coming up with new designs takes time + I'll be participating in ArtFight this year!!)

Posting something a little different today!

I came up with this design for Miku while I was still recovering from an accident around last August-ish.

i already had some ideas for a talkloid series that I wanted to do around this time - it would have been something similar to Alien Stage, where Vocaloids are sent off to a different planet and they have to compete in a 'The Voice' type of singing challenge to not be booted off said planet.

Depending on which 'genre' each Vocaloid would perform a song in, they would be sorted into different houses, where they'd live together:

-The Cryptonloids would have lived in the same house, they would have acted as 'judges' in a way, besides the televoters from Earth.

-CUL, VY2 and VFlower would have lived together, I wanted to originally give all of them a sort of 'Gothic' aesthetic.

-Lumi, VY1, Nekomura Iroha, Azuki, Matcha, Sachiko and Gackpoid would have lived in a more 'traditional' household.

-Otomachi Una, ARSLOID, Fukase, Gumi, SF-A2 miki and Mirai Komachi would have lived in a very Wonderland x Showtime inspired house.

-Rana, Tone Rion and Yumemi Nemu, I would have given them a slightly futuristic, hospital themed home (they were mostly there to make sure that nobody is injured between/during shows)

-Utatane Piko, Yuzuki Yukari and DEX, they would have been responsible for keeping the power on the planet going.

-Lastly, IA, ZOLA, SeeU and YOHIOloid would have had a very typical, mid 2010s influencer home.

While I do think that this concept was interesting, I decided to start over completely, as there are only so many things you can do with this idea before it gets stale.

(Only updated her thumbnail, but I still wanted to post it, since it's my most 'relevant' drawing of this design to-date. I gotta do the same for Miki, then I'll get to work on brand new designs, I promise <3)

Hey y'all!

Now that I have slightly more time to draw (still fighting for my life with my exams, though lol), I have finished Rion's and redesigned Piko's concept art slightly, now I just need to redo my thumbnails for Miki and Mirai, before I can continue working on other, brand new designs!

Next on my priority list will probably be Kasane Teto, along with Eri (I already have a design for her, I just need to make a reference for it!), then the ZOLA boys!

Lastly - I will be participating in ArtFight this year, feel free to attack me at 'VellieUTAU', all of my current available designs will be there, in case you wish to draw them!

(JUNE 17TH, 2025 UPDATE)

I didn't wanna do a whole update blog just for this, so I'll just summarise everything that has happened since I first made this post:

-Finished Mirai's thumbnail image (only Miki is left from my pre-existing designs!)

-I've found some older concept sketches of outfits for Miku and Rin, so now, my current list of priorities goes such as:

1. Eri (since I already have a design for her, I'll just need to make a reference sheet)

2. Kasane Teto

3. ZOLA (I mostly only have major ideas for YUU, but continuing with my notes has helped with figuring out where I should start with KYO and WIL)

4. Kagamine Rin

5. Hatsune Miku

Utatane Piko's redesign! It's nothing major, I just wanted to make his expression 'colder', as in my notes, he's headcanoned as someone with a 'deadpan' expression. I also updated his thumbnail image, as the original one (not posted here) looked very uncanny

Tone Rion's concept art! I didn't realise that I already had most of it rendered until today!! I did change some small details, though, to make it more apparent that she's supposed to be a medic :3

Hey y'all!

I wanted to hop on here to say that I apologize for my inactivity as of late, I have been extremely busy with preparations for my exams!!

The talkloids series is still definitely coming, I'm currently in the process of writing and re-designing the cast, as when I started this project, I had VERY different ideas on how I wanted to go about the whole thing.

As for my publicly available designs right now: Miki and Mirai won't go through any substantial changes, Piko has already been tweaked a bit (extremely minor changes, though) and Rana's design has recieved a couple of extra details, as I felt that her design was just missing something.

I do already have my redesign of Rion in the works too, although that will most definitely need some tweaking as well!

I appreciate all the support this project has garnered so far (both in public and in private), I cannot wait to continue working on it!
