I hate it when ppl hate on certain fictives or claim that a system MUST be faking because of a fictive(s). There are two or three major fandoms that immediately come to find here.

Let’s track the logic mk? 2020-2021. Covid. Quarantine. The entire world is in a panic not knowing who will live or die. Schools close. For a lot of people that means isolation at home on top of the fear of getting sick or someone you live getting sick and dying. Lots of people with DID have toxic a/o abusive families. Who they are now trapped with. For MONTHS. with 0 escape.

Is it crazy to imagine a lot of these systems would turn to escape in media they like? Is it crazy that things that are really popular at the time would be these medias? (Like DSMP or Danganronpa)

And what happens when a system is being actively traumatized? They split. And what’s common for the brain to do? Split someone they think can be strong enough to fix the problem or at least deal with it.

Gosh I wonder what characters people saw as inspiring or strong during that time. I WONDER. that doesn’t even count other things that need to be taken into account- like feelings of shame or guilt from being gaslit.

So really- is it unbelievable that a person with DID, who doesn’t have any other coping mechanisms, and is likely being actively traumatized, would split a DSMP fictive? Or a hazbin hotel fictive? Or a danganronoa fictive?

Really. It’s not that deep.

It’s so harmful to these headmates too- because they have a purpose and they can feel ashamed to even exist.

We didn’t choose to Introject Manhunt Dream or DSMP Tommy. They are here and they have a purpose. We might not have made it through those years of it were not for them. Dream is one of our most reliable headmates as a protector, and Tommy put up with so much shit in our stead.

It’s really not that hard to understand guys.
