Vestara Khai, also known by her alias Savara Raine, was a Force-sensitive female Human born to Sith Saber Gavar Khai and his wife, Lahka, on the planet Kesh in 27.5 ABY. She became a Tyro in the planet’s Sith Tribe in 37.5 ABY, and after being contacted by the Sith Meditation Sphere Ship in 41 ABY she was apprenticed to Lady Olaris Rhea. Ship helped the Tribe travel offworld and form a new fleet, but in 43.5 ABY Ship deserted Kesh, following the call of the dark side entity Abeloth. Vestara was a member of the strike team sent to recover Ship and kill Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker, but the Sith were defeated by Skywalker and his son, Ben. The team’s sole survivor, Vestara fled to the planet Dathomir, where she sent a message to her Tribe and lived under the protection of the Dathomiri Witches. The Skywalkers found and eventually captured her, but they were then confronted by a Sith fleet led by High Lord Sarasu Taalon.

The problem with 'Padmé not despising Anakin for the Tuskan Massacre/reporting him to the scops (space cops), etc is out of character' is that Padmé also asks Anakin to run away with her after finding out what he did to the Jedi. She's consistent with the idea that Anakin is not defined by his worst deeds and that he can be saved.

I think it's more rewarding to think about how and why Padmé thinks that than dismissing it as out of character and that Queen Amidala is her whole characterisation.

The air crackled with his furyl raw and wild and rooted in a grief too vast for words. But Padmé stood her ground, the hem of her cloak fluttering with the shift in pressure, her face steady beneath the storm. She didn’t flinch when his hand rose. She didn’t retreat. “Then don’t,” she said softly, but there was steel in her voice. “But not like this.” Her gaze held his — unwavering, unafraid. She imagined she was talking to an enraged and hurting Anakin behind the mask. “Don’t let him keep winning by letting your rage chain you to what he made you.” She took a single step forward. “If you want to stop losing me… then fight for the man I believed in. Not the monster he turned you into.” Her hand, gentle and trembling, rose to hover near his mask — not in fear, but in memory. “You were never a fool, Anakin. Just... scared. So was I.”

Her words pierced his heart. Vader turns away from Padme, overwhelmed.

"No." He wanted to argue. But his mind was racing. He wanted to say that he never left her. That she was always with him. That if he knew she was alive!

"I have to believe you're still in there."

Vader wants to dwell in that small bit of hope she carries. To bath in that faith of her's. That goodness that there was still some Anakin in the suit. The man she loved. The husband who held her. But darkness crept into his thoughts. A million questions branched off into a million more. All spininng back to the first.

"It was Palpatine. He told me you were dead." His hand made a fist. The air around them sizzled. The vents above them moaned at the invisable pressure place upon them.

Of course, how could he be such a fool! Blinded by his fear, enraged by Kenobi.

Vader turns round, "He kept you from me!" It spirals from there. Raising a demanding and needy hand towards her, "I won't let it happen again."

She hadn’t meant to disturb him. The garden was quiet, removed from the noise of the Senate and the endless briefings. But the way he looked.. like a lost, like a boy stranded in a war built by men far older, drew her forward despite herself. She paused, only a few steps away, her eyes scanning his face. So much pain, barely held beneath the surface. And yet… she felt it, too. “Anakin.” Her voice was softer than it used to be. Less sure. Less guarded. Gentler now, not the Senator, but the woman who remembered laughter in this garden, and stargazing, and stolen confessions under Naboo skies. “You don’t have to pretend with me. Not here.”

Lost in a day dream — or maybe it’s a nightmare. Anakin’s expression was unreadable beyond the fact that it was clear that he is not here. So much has happened. So many men lost in a war that seems almost senseless. A reprieve was what he needed, sat alone in a garden, vacant and lost. Usually, it was grounding to be here. Better here than the bustling streets of Corsucant. Yet now he even felt distant here, in a place that reminds him of a time he was happy.

His eyes flickered with life for a moment at the sound of movement. Part of him believed that he was imagining it when he saw her. Padme. Radiant as she’s always been. It makes his chest ache.

“Senator Amidala.” He was trying to be formal. Usually he was so good at it, but not right now.

[DISMISS] – Sender tries to open up, but Receiver laughs, thinking it's a joke—and Sender shuts down completely. The throne room was silent, besides the low hum of suspended power thrumming through black marble walls and the flicker of red energy casting cruel shadows. At its center sat a woman cloaked in midnight silk, her posture regal, her gaze merciless. The Senate had long since burned. Democracy had crumbled into ash. And from that ruin, she had risen. Once, they called her Queen. Then, Senator. But those titles were fragile things, made for fragile worlds. Now they called her Empress. Padmé’s fingers tapped the armrest of her throne, the durasteel beneath etched with Nabooian script twisted into Sith geometry. “We did not build this Empire from sentiment. Speak carefully.”
