I honestly can't take people who see two guys who are clearly beat friends and ship them together just because.

Can't people be just friends anymore? And then when I say I don't ship it they call me homophobic????? (Yes, this actually happened. More than once.)

Anyways, I just wish people would see how Leo felt so insecure towards Jason, and even tho yes, they both very clearly had FRIENDLY AFFECTION towards each other, the parts of him "praising" Jason are often just so he can """underestimate""" - Ik that's not the word, but I can't remember the correct one rn - himself. And that is VERY common for people with lots of insecurities - sadly, projecting them on your friends. "Why is ***** so much stronger than me?" "Why's ....... smarter?" "She's so pretty, why can't I be more like her?" Etc etc

Anyways, this is just my opinion!!!

That’s why Ill never understand the side of the fandom that pushes the Lesbian Agenda on her. She likes men. She is unlabeled. She is queer and that is fine.

Leo absolutely had those thoughts. But they came from a place of insecurity not desire.

Jason never thought he was cute. He thought Leo was strong and competent. He thought Leo was clever and talented. He was thinking of Leo as HIS best friend. Not Piper’s best friend. And certainly not “his girlfriend’s bestfriend”.

You loved your boyfriend. You really did. Everything about that boy contributed to your - growing - infatuation with him: his messy curls, his grease stained shirts, his olive skin - and, of course, one of the most significative (and peculiar) parts of him: his fire powers.

Having a hot boyfriend - and I mean it literally, but figuratively also works in this case - had many pros. You didn't have to worry about the dark, or about starting a fire just to toast marshmellows, or even about dealing with period cramps - a simples flick of his hands managed to do those jobs perfectly. But the greatest part about it was during winter: while all of the campers were shivering and doing their best to warm up, you could literally just cuddle your boyfriend to do so.

You loved winter nights, when both of you could just exist in each other's arms, intertwined like you don't exist without one another. His hands find their place on your hips, moving up and down, while your legs were all over the place and you hugged like you wanted to get even closer - even though it was not humanly possible.

That's why you loved winter nights.

That's why Leo loved winter.

"But why?"

"Dude" you deadpanned, closing your book and pointing to the outside of your cabin "it's 300 degrees outside! And you're too hot. Literally."

And that's why Leo hated summer.

It was nice to a point. Going to the beach, getting to do picnics and all that sappy stuff - but this? This was too much.

"Okay, firstly, we need to adress this 'dude' thing. I'm your boyfriend, not some 'dude'" he said, crossing his arms and pouting, to which you probably replied with something like 'Okay, bro', but he didn't really pay much attention "Second of all, love demands sacrifices! Aren't you willing to sacrifice some of your coolness for me?"

"That's not how it works" you laughed, opening your book again and going back to the words "Just wait another six months. We'll cuddle all you want during winter"

"Six months?!" He whined, throwing himself at your legs "You can't possibly expect me to- hey, look at me, at least!"

You closed the book, hit his head with the book spine and continued reading

"Oh, is that how it is?" He smiled - more like smirked - while getting up "Okay then. Alright. I'll let you be."

You thought he was going away. And he really was - until he suddenly spun on his heels and came back, running towards you

"Leo what the heck are you- OOF."

All words escaped your throat when Leonidas freaking Valdez threw himself at you, one of his arms hugging - more like caging - your right side and the other one suspiciously going in the direction of your book

"Who even needs this" he grabbed the book, earning a unsatisfied "Hey!" from you, and threw it all the way across your cabin "When you can have this" he pointed at himself with his free hand, wiggling his eyebrows and, with the same arm, started flexing his muscles

"Well, at least that" you said, pointing towards the book "Isn't going to cook me alive. You are"

"Shush" he nuzzled his head on the crook of your neck, sighing deeply - oh, he really missed this "Just enjoy this time with your amazingly hot boyfriend"

You really wanted to protest. Really. You knew you were gonna combust in this hug - literally. But still, when he moved your hands to his hair, a silent plea for you to play with it, you couldn't help it

"...10 minutes. After that, you get up and go away"

"Alright, chief" you felt the dork smile, face still between your neck and shoulder "Just don't beg me not to break the cuddling session when the time's over, alright?"

And you didn't. Because it never really ended - you both spent the whole afternoon like that, much to your ego's dismay.

And even when your siblings sent confused looks your way, you couldn't say you regretted anything.

Can you tell this was supposed to be a quick word vomit? 🥰
