6th grade truly is the best grade of all to teach because they're young enough to be unabashedly enthusiastic about things but also old enough to get really fucking weird about it. i had a 6th grader request his latin name be "atreus" (not a name on the list i gave them) and when i explained to the class that atreus's family had been cursed for generations and that atreus killed his nephews and fed them to his brother, they all started shouting that they wanted to have a name like that one

I think more fics should have people being jealous of Kakashi for bagging Iruka instead of the reverse. Charming friendly teacher who is good with kids, has strong political connections to the clans and hokage, well known for keeping other shinobi in-line with little effort, he's smart, he's inventive, got a bit of a bad boy devious side to him, come on man he's like the perfect setup for a marriage candidate! And here come Hatake-Fucking-Kakashi with his perfect hair and sexy voice and air of ~ mystery ~ and amazing mission record and all those goddamn dogs swooping in to take him off the market as if he needed anything else to solidify his perfect golden boy status! Fuck you man!
