Day 91: Wow.. it’s been 3 months in Melbourne. And it’s crunch time with exams coming in slightly under than 3 weeks! Anyway, here’s two great people with huge hearts, my coffee shifu Sam and his wife Angel. They’ve started this amazing project that aims to break the poverty cycle and help build a better future for the community of Kolkata. And how do they go about it? Through partnering with Australian designers and a Kolkata apparel company called Freeset, they are launching a clothing line. The shirts that they produced are by women who have been affected by human trafficking and poverty. On top of that, 10% of the profits go into funding education for the children of these women. 86 days: So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 ___________________________________ Truth be told, the past few days have not been good. Wasted too much time, lacking the motivation to do anything. The burn out is real. But it is heartening to know that even in my wandering, You still spoke to me. Today, I am reminded that we are but sojourners on this earth. That each day is a gift bestowed to us, and there is a need to seize it as if it were our last. I may not have known you well, but your journey of faith has taught me, and I'm sure the people around you, that joy does not come from our circumstances. It comes from Jesus. To understand that, we can't do everything, and that's okay. To set aside time for God and to trust that He'll provide, in spite of the crazy amount of work that piles up.
