Hunter x Hunter's Creator Stuns Fans With A Surprise Return
By: Bianca Michaela Loping May 25, 2022
Hunter x Hunter has been a joke in April Fools for years due to its sabbatical, but now it's back. Followers are delighted to find that the artist of One Punch Man (Murata Yusuke) retweeted the author of the anime's tweet to reassure fans that the Twitter account belongs to the creator.
a class="btn-floating btn btn-tw" type="button" role="button" title="Share on twitter" href="https://twitter.com/Un4v5s8bgsVk9Xp/status/1528987173927522304?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1528987173927522304%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rappler.com%2Flife-and-style%2Fliterature%2Fhunter-x-hunter-creator-joins-twitter-reveals-manga-comeback%2F" rel="noopener"> After a four-year break, the manga scene is ready to return. Yoshihiro Togashi started a Twitter account on May 24, 2022, and tweeted an image of a manga strip with the phrase "4 more episodes for now."
Some fans may consider this a joke because the author previously stated that he would not return; however, the sabbatical was due to the author's health.
The publishing date for the next volume of Togashi's mega-hit manga series is unknown, but people can only hope it won't be another four years.

Destiny Triumphed Over Dynasty at the Battle of Katipunan: Ateneo Blue Eagles vs. UP Fighting Maroons
By: Ysabelle Jayco May 20, 2022

After 36 years, destiny won over the dynasty when UP-Fighting Maroons dethroned the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the so-called Battle of Katipunan at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) basketball tournament Season 84 last May 13, 2022, at the MOA Arena.
Going back to 1938-1940 UAAP Season 2, UP had their first win; 47 years later, in 1986 (UAAP Season 49), bagging their first crown, under the supervision of Joe Lipa, the triad of Eric Altamirano, Ronnie Magsanoc, and Benjie Paras gave UP its second title in the league beating the then-powerhouse University of the East Red Warriors.
From 1987–2021 there was a championship drought. In 2017, UP started advancing with a 6-8 win-loss record, and Juan Gomez de Liao received the ROY title, the Fighting Maroons placing the fifth in the team standings. In the 2018 finals, UP was able to set up a clash with ADMU as they made it to the final four, but they had to settle for second place when they lost to Ateneo. During the UAAP Season 82, UP advanced to the final four once more but unfortunately didn’t bag the championship as they placed third, losing to UST.
After two years of halt in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UP-Fighting Maroons enjoyed their greatest season as champions in Season 84 in 2022.
In the fourth quarter of the game, with the remaining 50 seconds, CJ Casino’s three-point shot helped the Maroons catch up with the Eagles (59 -59), resulting in overtime. The dominance of the Ateneo Blue Eagles has ended, game one of the championships was won by UP (81-74), but Game Two was won by the Blue Eagles (69-66). UP won Game Three (72-69) in overtime and took home the trophy. With half a second left, JD Cagulangan made the night's biggest shot, and the teenage guard hit a cold-blooded game-winning three to give UP the win. Malick Diouf and CJ Cansino led the Fighting Maroons with 17 and 14 points. Diouf was named the Most Valuable Player of the Finals.

NBA: Warriors Mauls Grizzlies to Advance in the Western Conference Finals
By: Rommel Sarador May 17, 2022

In photo: Klay Thompson from Golden State Warriors Photo: gettyimages.com
Warriors fight to advance to the Western Conference Finals after missing it for the past years due to missing players because of injuries.
The Warriors defeat the Memphis Grizzlies, 110-96. A 14-point win to seal the deal and finally return to the Western Conference finals.
The Grizzlies got a lot from Dillon Brooks who was one of the players who almost stole the show, however, the splash brothers, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson pair up with a 29 and 30 point game to seal the deal and win it all for the team, with the help Andrew Wiggins with 18 points and Draymond Green with 14 points and Jordan Poole with 12 points with the help of Kevon Looney who scored only 4 points but crushed it in the glass, grabbing 22 rebounds in the game.
One question remains. Will the Golden State Warriors advance to the finals once again? Or will they fumble this year against the Dallas Mavericks?

When Adamson University won the silver medal in the UAAP Season 84 Cheerdance Competition, the flying falcons joyously screamed "Unawakanahimo."
Although it's hard to match it with the routine, Adamson University head coach Jam Lorenzo claims they're taking the risk to continue their country music. Lorenzo continued that the epidemic was tough as he was given the task of selecting the people he wanted as they were only allowed 15 dancers.
Despite the lack of actual drums from college drummers and having 15 dancers the judges awarded Adamson University a "First Runner-up."

North Korea Refuses Help Despite COVID-19 Catastrophe
By: Nicole Andre Tampos May 24, 2022

Photo courtesy of Korean Central News Agency/dpa
North Korea combats the spread of the country’s first Covid-19 outbreak. Since its first reported case on May 12, there have been more than 2 million cases of what they refer to as "fever".
In early 2020, when the world was fighting ongoing outbreaks, the country sealed its borders and isolated itself from the pandemic. Their course of action to combat this outbreak is by focusing on keeping suspected patients in quarantine.
"There’s a high chance they won’t be able to prevent the majority of its people from catching COVID-19, even if they force additional lockdowns," said Dr. Jiho Cha, professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in Daejeon.
The Korean Central News Agency is recommending the use of traditional medicine such as herbal teas, gargling salt water, painkillers, and antibiotics.
The isolated nation with a population of more than 25 million people is believed to be unvaccinated as it continues to refuse foreign aid and vaccines.
Although there is not much information about their healthcare system, North Koreans who have defected and non-governmental organizations often point out the lack of modern medical equipment and health facilities. With poor healthcare systems, people are vulnerable to diseases and malnourishment.
The World Health Organization worries the rapid spread could be deadlier.
