Summer is coming and I'm back into my horror mood, I don't know why summer always brings out the need to consume gothic and dark media

My yearly summer rewatches:

-The Lost Boys, one of my favorite movies

-Hellraiser 2, of course, and I think I'm going to continue reading the Hellraiser comics, even though some issues really disappointed me

There may be more, but I can't remember them at the moment

I really, really love vampire movies, so for this summer I have some new entries in my list that I have to yet watch:

-Only Lovers Left Alive (I have started watching this movie two times but I can't follow it, I'll try harder this year)

-The Hunger

-Let the right one in

-Sinners (it has been brought to my attention that this movie has vampires in it but I can't find it subtitled online, and my local cinema doesn't have it)

-Lost Highways (I watched it many years ago when I didn't know Lynch's stile of film yet, and I got to the halfway point, I was very confused and stopped)

-I think Babylon has a vampire in it? I try not to look up the plot of movies I'm curious to watch

-A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night

-my best friend is a vampire (I don't really have preferences when it comes to vampire movies, any shape or form is good to me if it has a vampire in it)

It is also this time of year that I start listening to my favourite goth artists, I have a very specific style of music that I like, so I have a few dedicated bands or albums that I listen to on repeat, and they're not very niche, so you have your typical Systers of Mercy, your Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, London after Midnight and some miscellaneous songs from soundtracks of dark and moody movies that I particularly liked, like Queen of the Damned's soundtrack.

More people should talk about eXistenZ, it's such a cool movie, and the ending was really rewarding, even if I predicted it! Recommend

I'm definitely binging some others of David Cronenberg's filmography

Watched Lisa Frankenstein, cute, fun and kooky, but not as much as some other movies I saw, it felt like it was always on the cusp of being there but never went full kooky

I feel like the only time it reached fool kookyness it was at the dick-chopping, that was good

So um, some time ago I decided I wanted to watch Lisa Frankenstein, but I was pretty drunk, so I have only vague memories of it, so I'm gonna watch it again tonight and see if I like it
