Alexander: Okay... This is it. She knows....

*Alexander is surprised and confused when Blossom comes out instead of Brooke.*

Blossom: Hey Alex! Sorry, Brooke isn't here right now. She was called into the office - something super important came up.

Alexander: Okay ... Any idea when she'll be home?

Blossom: No... But hey, since you're here can you watch Gabe? I've gotta go!

*She turns away and starts heading down the stairs.*

Alexander: Uuuuh... No. If Brooke left Gabe with you, then you should stay.

Blossom: Nah, I gotta head home. You're better at watching him anyway.

Alexander: No. Bloss-

Blossom: And Alexander! ... Good luck.

Alexander: ... Okay... Thanks Blossom.

*Alexander and Gabe had a chill night. Alexander couldn't help but worry as it began to get later and later, so he began Gabe's bedtime routine while still waiting for Brooke to return home.*

Brooke: Okay Bloss, I owe you big time. Do you want Chinese or Mexica-...

Alexander: Hey...

Brooke: Hey...

Alexander: ... Did you want to talk?

Brooke: ... And then he dropped me home. Refusing to come in, or to even kiss me goodnight.

Blossom: I gotta say, I didn't think he had it in him

Brooke: I think it must have been the alcohol.

Blossom: Must've been! I think that boy would have held onto his feelings all the way to the grave without a little push!

Brooke: ... I just can't believe that Alexander has been in love with me this whole time!

Blossom: And what about you? Do you love him back?

Brooke: Well... yeah? He's my best friend. I love the time we share together, he's really sweet and reliable.

Blossom: Brookie, you could be describing any of your friends with that. I know you love them - but are you in love with him?

Brooke: ... I should make some breakfast.

*Brooke jumps off the couch and darts into the kitchen without looking at Blossom.*

Blossom: Brooke! You can't run from this!

Brooke: No! I need time to think... that and watermelon.

Blossom: It should be simple. Do you see Alexander as a man? Attractive? Someone you'd want to have more kids with? ... Or just someone that you like having in your life as he currently is?

Brooke: ...

Blossom: I wish that I didn't see Rodney as an attractive man, then I could leave his ass and find a cute girlfriend to be hot as hell with... But unfortunately I know that I am in love with him... Its that simple, girl.

Brooke: ... Hey could you take over here... I'm just going to freshen up a little.

Blossom: ... Fine.

*Brooke hurries to her bedroom. After a few minutes she comes up in work attire and heads towards the front door.*

Brooke: Sorry, Bloss! I need to head into the office for a few hours. Could you stay a bit later today and look after Gabe? Love you, byyyye~

Leaving Blossom absolutely appalled.

*Brooke enters her home with a multitude of feelings and sensations pulsing through her body. She isn't able to consider this too deeply, however, as she sees her sister, Blossom standing by the front window.*

Blossom: Hey girl heeeeey~

Brooke: Hey Bloss... Thanks for babysitting tonight. How was Gabe?

Blossom: An absolute little cherub. Nothing to report. He's still fast asleep in his own bed.

Brooke: Oh goo-

Blossom: When were you going to tell me you and Alexander were finally an item!?

Brooke: ... huh?

Blossom: I saw you two out on the lawn! C'mon, no need to keep it a secret now!

Brooke: No - no, Bloss, you don't understand!

Blossom: I understand perfectly well! Rodney and I had money on if he was ever going to shoot his shot with you. Looks like I owe Rod $50!

Brooke: You knew?

Blossom: About Alexander crushing hard on you since I was in grade school? Yeah. The whole world knew, girlie.

Alexander: Here you are Miss Munson. Home safe and sound.

Brooke: Thank you very much, Mr. Goth... Could I interest you in coming inside for some tea or coffee?

Alexander: I appreciate the offer - but I think it would be best for me to head home now.

Brooke: Really...? You won't even come in to continue or discussion from earlier?

Alexander: I believe we've had far too much to drink, and that there might be too many feelings flowing through us right now. So I think it is best for me to leave early, I'm afraid.

Brooke: ... Speak plainly, Alex.

Alexander: Alright then... I have had big feelings for you for a long time. Tonight you validated these feelings, which has filled me with all sorts of love and lust, which makes it increasingly difficult to exercise self-control. To top it all off, you have a track record of making hasty decisions when filled with love and lust, which can lead to negative feelings later...

Brooke: Hey! what are you implyin-

Alexander: Nothing negative about you at all. But know that I have waited for your love and touch for many years... and I am willing to wait a little bit longer to make sure its what you want as well.

Alexander: And with that. I bid you good night. I'll stop by tomorrow to see how you're fairing.

Brooke: Not even a goodnight kiss...?

Alexander: Let me know if you're still eager once you're all sober and of normal mind, my dear... Goodnight.

Brooke: ... Goodnight...

Alexander: ... Seems like we're the only guests left.

Brooke: I'm not quite ready to end tonight. Want to find somewhere to have one last drink?

Alexander: Yeah, why not. I'm sure we'll find something still open around here somewhere.

Brooke: What a beautiful wedding... man, I just love love... I wish that I could find and hold onto it for once... without it all blowing up in my face again and again...

Alexander: Yeah...

Brooke: Come to think of it... Why don’t you date? We’ve know each other for a long time, and I don’t think I've ever known you to really go on a date or hook up or... anything...?

Alexander: ...

Brooke: Which is fine! Some people want different things... And some people don't want anything at a-

Alexander: Watcher-damnit, Brooke. Enough. Its because I'm in love with you! I've always been in love with you.

Brooke: Alex... I had no idea.

Alexander: ... Well now the cats out of the bag... If you can’t love me back - thats fine. Tell me here and now and I'll back off forever and I'll... I'll... I’ll go on that date with Zelmira.

Brooke: Wow, really? You're going to confess to a girl and demand her to make a life altering decision right there and then?

Alexander: You know how I feel... And like you said, we've known each other a long time. If you feel anything for me you would feel it now, right...

Brooke: Well this is what I think...

Alexander: ...?

Brooke: You are one of my oldest friends. You're the first person I call if I get good news, you're the first person I want to see when I have bad news. You've always supported me through my ups and many downs. You don't question me when I've made a decision, even if you know its bad. You're the man that I named my son after, and the man that I think I've loved for a long time.

Alexander: ... As much as I appreciate the forwardness and reciprocated feelings - I think I better get you home.

Brooke: Well... don't get used to it. I just wanted to fit into a goth wedding.

Announcer: Introducing Mr. Alexander Goth, brother of the bride, and his escort, Miss Brooke Munson.

Brooke: I know that Kiyoshi didn't do anything wrong... But I can't bring myself to have any more contact with him now that I know that he has a connection to Sawyer... I just can't.

After saying goodbye to Kiyoshi, Brooke drives across town to Alexander's family home. She feels her heart racing and her breath quickening. She is met at the door with a very cross looking Alexander.

Alexander: Okay Brooke. I need to put my foot down. You said you'd text me last night and you didn't. I had no idea if you got home safe! You didn't even respond to my text about Gabe's-

Brooke: *shaky breathing*

Alexander: ... Brooke? ...Did something happen...?

Brooke: Y-yeah...! Everything was nice. It was all fine... b-but, but - its Sawyer. *Unintelligible talking and sobbing*

Alexander spends the next few minutes comforting Brooke and calming her down enough to talk. She shares how she had a wonderful night but saw a picture of Sawyer this morning.

Brooke: I don't even know why I'm crying. Nothing happened. I'm fine.

Alexander: No, you're having a panic attack. You weren't prepared to see him spontaneously like that. You don't want to see him, and that's completely valid.

*Brooke pulls away and wipes away the remainder of her tears.*

Alexander: What you're body is telling you is that you felt shocked, scared and sad. What we need to do is let it know that you're safe. You're okay, Brooke. But its alright to have a big reaction like this. You're body wants to keep you safe.

Brooke: Yeah. Yeah. You're right... Why is it such a small world? I mean, I essentially just slept with my son's brother in law!

Gabriel: Mama...?

Brooke: Oh crap. Hi Gabey.

Gabriel: Mama no cry.

Alexander: Mama had a tricky morning, but that's okay... Come on little man, lets get all your stuff together while mama takes a few moments to breath and feel better.

Gabriel: Otay.

Kiyoshi: Mmmm good morning.

Brooke: Good morning... I'm so sorry, but we have to get up.

Kiyoshi: Hmm...? Why? It is still so early...

Brooke: I have to go pick my son up from my friend's house.

Kiyoshi: Do we have time to freshen up and get ready?

Brooke: If we're quick, then yes.

Kiyoshi: I've had a lot of fun this past week. Thank you for indulging me.

Brooke: Me too. I'm sad that you're going to be leaving soon... But I think the time frame has added to the fun of everything.

Kiyoshi: I'll let my sister know that she needs to get married here more often so that we might be able to do this again.

Brooke: Speaking of which, how was the wedding?

Kiyoshi: As good as weddings get. Lots of people cried, especially the groom's side. I'll show you a picture.

Brooke: Please! I love weddings!

Brooke: ... Oh my Watcher...

Kiyoshi: She is now officially Nanami Michaels. That is her and her new husband on the left, and his parents, Hazel and Sawyer on the right.

Brooke: Y-yeah.

Alexander: By yourself? I don't know if its the best idea to-

Brooke: No. I'm actually meeting someone tonight.

Alexander: Oh. I didn't realise you were dating.

Brooke: Urgh. Its not a full thing like that. I'm just meeting someone tonight to have a nice night. People can go out and have fun, Alex.

Alexander: I know people can have fun, Brooke. I just want to make sure you'll be safe out tonight. If anything happens just text me and I'll-

Brooke: No, I don't always need rescuing. Please stop seeing me as a little damsel that needs you to rescue me - that really bugs me.

Alexander: Okay. I'm sorry. I'm happy to have Gabe here tonight. Just text me when you're home so that I know you're safe?

Brooke: Okay, okay. I'll be over early tomorrow morning to pick up my son.

Alexander: Alright... Have a good night.

Brooke: So have I. Its funny - we didn't really go anywhere new or do anything special, but it really helped me see that place the I live in with new eyes. It was really refreshing.

Kiyoshi: I am glad that you were able to enjoy a mundane-sightseeing day with me. I have to go now and relieve my parents from their duties with Yui. I am available for more mundane sight seeing with you tomorrow night if you would be interested?

Brooke: I can be! I'll find a sitter for Gabe and we can have the evening together.

Brooke: What! No way! I was raised in Oasis Springs, so I don't do very well in the cold at all!

Kiyoshi: I am the son of two gold medallist skiers, and I hope to one day win gold for my snowboarding. I was raised in the snow. It feels like a little piece of home seeing the snow here too.

Brooke: Dang. Seems like there's more ice in your veins than blood at that point.
