Been up to my nose in work lately... it's good stuff, but I suppose I wish I didn't have to worry about money so much.

Alright I'll keep answering asks later... thank you everyone who sends them. It's sort of strange taking them for granted, considering when I just started my tumblr it was kind of magical to get even one, and they'd be months if not years apart. It's still pretty surreal to consider there's a person typing out a whole message like that to me specifically.

Absolutely in love with your art! Can you tell me what brushes you used for your spamton drawing? The pixelated look all the while having lineweight is so nice
Pretty sure I just went with this pixel brush in drawpile
If you want a really good pixel brush with lineweight I'll always point you towards SAI binary, though. It's insanely good. I need to start using it again...

your art is insane i don't have enough words to describe it... it's so beautiful in a unique way and idk how you put random colours together but make it look good your art is so vibrant and lively and it just LOOKS SO GOOD I can recognise it instantly and I will be staring at your work for a very long time trying to see how you do it
Thank you very much. The trick is to be very stubborn and keep doing it wrong until it's not wrong anymore

i love your art so much. your lisa art means the world to me, you really portay the tragedy and love of the games very well. i liked your "I remember you" set of drawings so much i saved each pic and put them in a folder in google drive just in case something evil ever happens to all your accounts or something, but i just wanted to preserve it
I received this ask before the other one warning me about the link breaking so hey, if everything goes to shit at least this anon's got our backs (also thank you very much, it means a lot that you'd go the distance for anything I draw)
#talking#if you wanna do this with anything more recent you should get the full quality newgrounds versions

did you ever get to play lisa the painful definitive edition? if so, what did you think of it?
Yes of course. I think, all things considered, it was very good. I was glad that LISA was made available in other consoles, and on top of that I find the campfire conversations quite great on the whole, and perfectly integrated into the original game. The superboss sequence is alright, it does drag quite heavily, but I really like the new tracks especially the one in the crow boss fight, just feels like more LISA tracks which I'm all for.
I didn't play the new joyful stuff though, so I can't speak too deeply on that. I don't feel you miss out too much just playing the original release of Painful and Joyful, but genuinely the campfire scenes are kind of worth it. I've seen that some people have grown to dislike og LISA (DE or otherwise) because of how crazy some of the fangames get, and I find that a bit weird, so there was a bit of pushback on the remaster because of that. But LISA is really good. Play it and see it for yourself if you haven't, no matter the version, it's incredible.

Hey, I love your artwork sooo much, and I was wondering how do you plan out perspective in your painting? The backgrounds are always so well composed and I was wondering if you're using a pre-made grid while sketching for guidance? Kinda wanna draw more complex sceneries and so far the best guides for it would be Scott's Robertson books.
No guides. I kind of bake the guides into the drawing itself, that's why I like tiles so much. Though... I could probably do more if I used guides (rubs ever so gently the tip of my right foot on the floor while my hands are crossed behind my back and I look down in shame) but I tend to focus a lot on character design, the backgrounds end up an extension of that rather than their own thing. I do feel I'm making progress towards a better balance with the illustrations, but inevitably I always start with the character and figure out the background as I go. I tend to just do what I find the most fun.

i absolutely adore the anatomy in your DOOM posts from a couple of days ago. If you don't mind me asking, and if you feel like answering, how did you draw it correctly. Anatomy is something i've struggled with immensely, and i never know where or how to start learning because there is a lot. I'd like to be able to learn so that I can capture and depict it realistically in my own art, the way you do.
Well anon, I'm not sure what to say. Perhaps it looks correct, but honestly I don't feel it's entirely correct. It's more like years of experience coalescing into just getting the feel right above anything. I'm always striving to take more of that "feels right" putty and put more "is right" slime in its place, but if I replaced it entirely the drawing would surely feel stiff. Try to draw a lot of humans and pay attention to your own muscles and anatomy, understand your arm and your torso, what makes it move, morph, and so on. Many artists will do great breakdowns, but nothing will replace your own experience when it comes to drawing it the way you want to draw. You may feel it looks not good enough now, but the only way to make it look better is to keep drawing it despite that, find other goals that can keep you engaged even when you can't make it look perfect, like just generally finishing a piece of depicting something you love.

i think the imgur link to your Remember You LISA art project broke or something :( it keeps saying the requested page could not be found
This should be fixed, thank you for the heads up! If anything ever happens I'll see about updating the post with some kind of g-drive backup.
