Considering a concept for a character: Individual who was always scared of Calemvir as a member of the Furies, believing that they must have something out for them due to the fact their parents are deceased; After their grandmother passes, they run away and beg to join the Empire. They promise to fight a wild-dog to prove their place, and eventually join, solely cos they wanted to avoid 'Death' (note I do not think Calemvir actually would have anything against them, I just found the bit where Calemvir goes close to whoeever is about to die interesting, and as such, this character is scared of *being* close to Calemvir; As if Calemvir 'causes' death, not dissimilar to the Black Dog folklore where I live).
Oh, this is so interesting!
The concept of Calemvir being seen by some Furies as a herald of death rather than a ferryman of sorts is something I would love to explore more. The Fury is still a rather young group, still figuring themselves out, so some cats being unsure about Calemvir makes sense.
Calemvir is interesting in the sense that he doesn't necessarily want anyone to die and a small part of himself resents his role in the Fury, since now the creatures he's guiding to the afterlife are his family. But he's been alone for so long that he mostly is just grateful to have a family in the first place.
I think your character being so determined to avoid him out of fear, to the point of literally running to find refuge in another group, would affect Calemvir greatly.
Oooo I have brainrot now...
Can't wait to see your character in the application pool!

pretty random question here, but is harsh sand related to dolphin cry/thundering wave? since the clowder's leadership mostly follows bloodlines but not always, i was wondering
I didn't mention it officially, but in my own brain, yes he is!
Harsh Sand is the youngest child of Thundering Wave and Dune. His name is a nod to his father's heritage.
While Clowder leadership doesn't have to follow the bloodline, as you mentioned, it has so far!
Whether or not that remains the case, we shall see...

We see your personal characters, but who’s rping the leaders of the groups? Are they gonna be like adopts or do they already have players?
They will played by you guys! On the application, there will be spots to indicate if you wish to be a Leader. The Leaders will be chosen from the pool of people who apply for the positions.
If you are willing and active, try for it! The Leaders will be essential for this new era the groups are entering.
Since you mentioned Adopts, I will spoil and say there will be 4! One for each group. It'll be the same type of application system as the Leaders, which will be explained more in depth once applications open. More on them soon!

Follow the compass home.
Will you follow the compass South, to the sun-beaten golden fields that house the Southern Wings, a tight-knit group dedicated to a life of freedom and honesty? The Wings would gladly welcome you home.
Or will you follow the compass West, to where the Empire of the West resides deep in the shadows of the forest? The Empire is strict and unyielding, founded on the promise of honor and duty, and you would have to prove yourself for the General to pass judgement in your favor.
Maybe you'll follow the compass East, to the crashing waves of the ocean shore, where the Clowder at the Eastern Sea makes its home? The Clowder is passionate and fun-loving, pursuing a life of harmony, and you would be welcomed with a smile and a laugh.
Or perhaps you'll follow the compass North, to where the Fury in the North hides among the towering, snow-capped mountain peaks? Be cautious, though, for the Fury is a young group dedicated to a life of cunning ambition, secretly hatched plots, and finding deliverance. The Royal family is hard to gain the favor of.
Which way is your heart guiding you?

Four Points is an upcoming semi-literate, 18+ roleplay hosted on Discord.
It will offer a full timeline with an immersive history still felt in present-day roleplay, four unique groups to find your home with (or even outside of!), is entirely LGBTQIA+ friendly, and will have a character- and roleplayer-driven plot!
As of right now, we are planning to open applications in late spring. Links will be added below as they are completed.
Send in an ask with any questions you may have, or what group you want more details about first!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA IM SO HYPE! I have two characters in mind ( Grumpy old man with a history of violence who just wants to settle down and rest and a young happy go lucky boy who knows a little too much about stuff he shouldn't )
But could you tell us a little more about the character application? Like, what sorts of questions will for sure be on there? Is there any specific way we should format responses?
AAHHH I AM ALSO SO HYPE!!!
Those characters sound so interesting! I can't wait to meet them!
As for the application, the only real stuff you should prep for is a 2-5 paragraph RP sample with a character of your own choosing (I just want to get a feel for your writing style!), a 6-sentence minimum personality description, and a 4-sentence minimum backstory! Other than that, it's just basic questions. It'll be a Google Form, so super fancy formatting won't register, I don't think.
Oh, and there also will be some reading comprehension questions about maps/lore... 6 to be precise. 1 question per group, 1 map question, and 1 general question.
They're not hard at all though! It's just to ensure territories and histories are understood a little before committing, since I've seen a trend lately of people not even reading the lore before joining a group, and I personally want to avoid that! All but one of the answers can be found easily in the General Information document, and the one answer that can't be found there is a very easy one to remember *wink wink*
(Basically, as long as you've read all the information put out, you shouldn't have any trouble at all!)

are cats allowed to have physical / mental / chronic illnesses? i've seen rps ban things like did/bpd/ptsd because of them "being cats" so i would love some clarification on these fronts
Hello!
Yes, cats will be allowed to have physical or mental disabilities and illnesses. I won't be restricting that - I don't feel as if that's my place, personally.
However, I will be working to ensure that they are depicted respectfully, and compromises may have to be made if something is handled in a way that is triggering for another member of the server.
All in all, I will do my very best to not limit creativity in character creation while trying to make sure everyone is happy and safe!
Hope that answered your question!

Follow the compass home.
I survived finals! And with that, I bring a gift.
The Character Creation guideline document has been completed and linked below, as well as in the Pinned post!
Thank you to everyone for their patience as I got through the end of the school year. The Discord server is beginning to come along quite nicely. I only need to finalize some plotting and adopts and then we can start the application process (finally)!
See you all in the next one, and please send in any asks with questions, comments, or concerns!

Note
youve mentioned a couple times now about wanting to hear about our characters. unfortunately im still workshopping mine... but I would love to hear about ur characters... and what kind of restrictions are there for characters? im thinking of making a wings cat but idrk what to avoid
Hi!
Ooo, this could open a can of worms! Sorry in advance to how long this might get.
So, I'll be playing one cat in every group, just so I have more opportunities to RP with everyone!
In the Fury, I'll be playing Calemvir! Who we all already know and love.
In the Empire, I'll be playing a trainee named Fox. He's a little orange ball of angst and chaos, and is one of my oldest OCs! He is currently struggling with the strictness of the Empire, since he was not born there, and kind of has a hard time fitting in - but he's working on it! (I'm also currently writing an AO3 story about him....)
In the Clowder, I'm playing Riptide Walker. She's kind of brusque and straightforward. Big 'ol himbo lesbian. She's new to me and I'm in love with her, but I'm still fleshing her out, so more on her to come.
In the Wings, I'm playing my sweet baby Wraith, who I absolutely adore and can't wait to play again. He's a little goofball who loves kids (babysitter extraordinaire) and has an innate desire to befriend literally everyone they can. They would become BFFs with a tree if left unsupervised for too long.
Onto the next part of the question!
The only real physical restrictions are no unnatural pelt colors. Funky pelt patterns I have no restrictions on, just make sure they are naturally-occurring colors. Eye color I also don't care about - life's too short, make your cat's eyes neon green or purple or hot pink. Fuck it we ball. I love seeing people's creativity run wild.
Personalities can be as complicated and uncomplicated as you want, just please no Mary-Sues. I will be strict about that in vetting applications (probably the only thing I will genuinely be strict on). Give your characters some flaws, for the sake of my sanity. Please.
Sorry for the long post!

Are there any special occasions on which the Empire may accept an outsider?
Hello!
Yes, absolutely. The Empire will accept outsiders on a few occasions:
A cat who shows promising battle or healing prowess, especially if said cat assists the Empire in any way, often will receive an invitation to join
The Empire may seem harsh at first but they're not cruel; loners with kittens or severe injuries will often be granted asylum
If someone has the confidence to directly ask the General themself to join, the General often respects their boldness (depending on said General, of course - Silkweaver would just have them killed for their audacity, but she is the outlier, not the norm; for Generals like Ironteeth or Iceheart, it would help earn their favor!)
So, yes. The Empire does indeed accept outsiders, they're just more picky about it! Having a loner backstory for an Empire cat is definitely not outside the realm of possibility, I will just need to ensure there isn't too many!

What type of time system will be used?
Hello!
This RP will use a liquid system - i.e., one irl month will equal one RP month. However, threads can take place any day within the month, and characters can be in several threads at once.
Threads for the month should be wrapped up when the server rolls over on the 1st of every month - but if there are outside reasons a thread can't get wrapped up, I'll gladly grant extensions! Real life can be a bitch sometimes.

ADMIN NOTE
The last post will likely be the last information-heavy post until after my finals are over. Finals should be concluded mid to late May, after which I can fully dedicate my time to getting this thing up and running!
I appreciate everybody's time and patience! I will still be active online, to answer any asks and make some headway into getting the server finalized.
After I am released from the hells of higher education, we will start getting into the nitty gritty! Hope everyone's excited, because I am.
I love hearing everybody's feedback/questions, and would love to hear some character ideas if anyone has any to throw out!
See you soon~

The Fury Throughout History
The Founders (Years 0-13)
[No information found.]
The Age of Sucession (Years 14-27)
[No information found.]
The First Compass War (Years 28-34)
The Empire and General Silkweaver have only become more and more cruel and tenacious as the War continued. When a Golden Feather is murdered and left for dead, mostly likely due to their outspoken hatred of the Empire, their younger sister becomes enraged and determined to end this War.
As the War progresses with no rest in sight, the Wings reach out to the Clowder for assistance, but is denied. The younger sister, whose name has been lost to time, refuses to accept this and seeks out the Clowder's leader to again plead their case - more personally this time. The Clowder agrees to help after hearing her out, and she returns victorious to Goldenleaf Grotto with their new allies in tow. However, she returns to find that Silkweaver sent an attack on their camp directly, and her two young children were lost in the bloodbath. Outraged and beside herself, she flees north with the final decree that Silkweaver will bleed out at her paws, if it's the last thing she will ever do.
The Wings and the Clowder face-off with the Empire once more, only to be surprised and horrified when Loyalty, the Empire's Divine, moves to dispose of Silkweaver himself. Before he can do so, however, Silkweaver's terrified body is dragged into the rushing river by an unknown force. Perturbed, Loyalty and the rest of the cats watch the river, unsure how to proceed and if Loyalty will react harshly to his lost kill.
Dragging Silkweaver's mangled corpse from the river, the bereaved younger sister emerges with water and blood sluicing from her body in rivulets, more cats smelling of ice and wind slinking from their nearby hiding places to stand with her. She faces off with Loyalty for a moment, hissing that Silkweaver was her kill, to which he begrudgingly surrenders his respect. She turns, furious, to the rest of the cats and declares this river the border between the west and the south, and that the war is now over. She takes her followers with her and vanishes into the shadows.
However, one odd dark-furred feline remains, gazing serenely at Loyalty and the rest of the gathered cats. A brave Clowder cat shakily asks who, exactly, that she-cat was. The black feline's grey eyes take on a peculiar glint, before answering that she was Estelar, the Queen in the Mountains. In the coming time, she becomes known instead as the Fury Queen.
The War of Flames and Flood (Years 35-39)
Due to Estelar's infamous title, the northern group gains the moniker the Fury.
In the time following right after the end of the First Compass War, many Wings found themselves unable to stay south to start over, too much pain and resentment lingering, and decide to head north. Estelar welcomes her old friends.
The Fury remain silent and uninvolved during the tensions between the Wings and the Clowder.
The Golden Age (Years 40-47)
Estelar has been busy expanding her group and establishing the group's customs, many of which are inspired by her past losses and/or the presence and close friendship of their new deity, Calemvir.
In the last half of the Golden Age, she sends messengers to parlay with the other groups, but initially refuses to join the blossoming trade agreement. She does, however, relent for the use of the other regions' herbs.
She also announces the birth of her grandchildren, and officially steps down as Monarch, passing the Crown to her son, Haemir.
The Second Compass War (Years 48-52)
Unbeknownst to the Fury, the have become the target for a deranged individual to the south, so sick with power and his obsession for starting a war. The Fury remains in the dark about his schemes until they suddenly aren't - when their entire royal family is murdered in a single night with no warning.
Incensed, the entire group moves to find the murderer. Despite Hummingbird being good, they are not that good; one Fury is simply better. It is not precisely known what happens after Wynather catches the Wing assassin, but Wynather emerges from the shadows bloody-clawed and satisfied.
The Fury, now understanding Scorch's plans, choose to go silent and not react. In their first and (hopefully) last election of-sorts, Wynather is crowned the new Monarch in the Mountains. He decides to focus on smoothing out the uncertainty within her Court before dealing with Scorch, feeling a sort of vicious glee about the reports getting sent back to them about Scorch's increasing paranoia.
It takes moons before Wynather decides to act. Upon their ascension, a new group has spawned amongst the ranks - that of assassins. It remains a mystery of who poisoned Scorch and with what, but whether it was Wynather himself or another Fury assassin, Scorch's death remains a brutal message. An even more brutal message is the one Wynather prepares for when the other three leaders head north to try and "clear things up" - Hummingbird's corpse makes a nice centerpiece, no?
The Council of the Four Points (Year 53)
The Empire's General, Iceheart, comes up with the idea to meet every moon to discuss grievances and any other updates between groups to avoid miscommunications. The other's agree - nowadays, the leaders often skip the meetings and entrust their Ambassadors with the honor.
The Wolf Queen (Years 54-Present)
