‘Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you’ (1 Peter 5:7).

When we commit our way to the Lord Jesus, and trust Him in everyday matters of life, we can be confident that He will act. But how often do we try to do it our way and miss the best? If we really do believe that God loves us and cares for us with an interest in every detail of our lives, why is it that we find it difficult at times to ‘be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him’ (Psalm 37:7). God wants us to let Him be the burden bearer and give us peace in such situations.

Prayer: O LORD God, thank You that You care so much even about the little details of my life. Please help me to let go, and let You do the carrying. Thank You that there are so many encouragements in Your Word that tell me to do this, and thank You for the peace You give when I let go and hand the situation over to You. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

I love the fact that God’s thoughts, plans, ways, methods, and strategies are infinitely higher and greater than my own. They are better in every way. They take me by surprise. They go where I could have never dreamed of. They surpass any and all expectations that I ever had.

Our struggle to see what God sees shouldn’t cause us to doubt Him, but to trust Him because His thoughts are not like our thoughts and His ways are not like our ways. They are higher. They are better. Infinitely so!

Vulnerability Post: So I’ve been so frustrated lately. I do not have the right job and I do not have the relationship that I want so badly. I am not living where I want. I need a car and drivers license. I need to lose weight but old habits are hard to break. I am waiting on God and I have not been waiting patiently. I am stressed and have my mental health challenges. I want to Give up but I cannot. I know with Gods strength, love, and mercy that He will help me but I still struggle. Tonight I thought of a verse and with thinking of Gods promises I was reminded of His great Love for me. Even though it is hard right now, He is still Faithful. He’s there for every heartache and He has always been Merciful. I have to Thank Him although I am in Pain. This verse reminds me to continually Praise Him in the Dark Moments. I know I can get through this, one step at a time.

Today we come to one of the most loved promises in the Bible, Romans 8:28. "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." This verse has helped people trust God through experiences that seemed utterly pointless and painful. People have held fast to the "all things" and believed the word of God – this too, this terrible thing, this seemingly pointless thing, will turn out for my good.

If you are facing something insurmountable in your life—such as a financial disaster, the loss of a family member, problems with a child, serious illness, invite God to do something in your situation that your mind can’t even conceive of. Keep praying, no matter how hopeless it seems, and don’t stop thanking God that He works out everything in your lives for good when you love and trust Him for your future.
