"Here's a little something, while I prepare to open up my own shop. I'll call it Wolf's Bane, just so you know
Doris Hecat"
Rosey, Doris' personal owl, sets a small package with flowers, healing herbs or oils, carefully packaged Turkish Delight, and a poem about fireworks in the night sky (that she definitely didn't beg Roy to write for her...) close to Elland.
[Buckle up, it's a long one cause I made an Elland/Will drabble instead of just a reply]
Dear Doris, I didn't know you decided to open your own shop, this is great news! I am sure Wolf's Bane will have plenty of customers in no time, I'll tell a few of my friends about it, too. We all study together, after all, I know they would like to support you! I can already see Will bothering you for some soothing lavender.
Elland looked up at what Doris' owl had brought him and gasped. Oh, she didn't have to spoil him so! He popped one of the sweets into his mouth, hummed happily, and passed Rosey some owl treats he had on hand.
"Hey, Will, Doris is opening her own shop soon," he turned to the Slytherin who was sketching something in his notebook. Will hastily covered up the drawing and Elland rolled his eyes: must be another one of Elland's profiles. As if Will didn't know how to draw his face by heart already.
"Oh, is she? Does it have anything to do with plants by any chance?"
Elland nodded. Will flipped the page of his notebook and cleared his throat. "It would be nice to have somebody we know to do business with. Imagine all the fresh lavender I can use for Nosy's soap treats!"
"I said something along those lines, too," Elland laughed. He searched around the study room and levitated a small vase to their table. An Aguamenti later, the flowers stood proudly on the table.
"I don't suppose you'd like to gift those to me?" chirped William, suddenly by his side.
"Oh William, there's not a single flower in the world that can compare to your beauty."
Will blinked at Elland. It didn't take long for his face to turn bright pink. "That's not what I asked!"
"But look at you, blooming like a pretty red rose!"
"Elland!"
The Slytherin didn't have enough huffing in him to express how he felt at those compliments coming from Elland, and Elland just laughed, slapping the table lightly in the middle of a long wheeze.
"You can have them," he finally said when Will made a move to get up from the table. Elland wrapped an arm around his waist to hold him in place in half a hug, feeling the warmth radiating from Will, and it worked like a charm. Will relaxed against him, reluctantly at first, but then he hugged Elland back, not looking at his face.
"You have a letter to finish."
"Shush. Just sit still for a moment," Elland replied and went on to read the poem, knowing full well that Will gets as disarmed by his hugs as Nosy does by his belly rubs.
The handwriting of the poem was a little different from that of Doris, and Elland thought about asking Will to reference his archives. But again, Will felt so soft and snuggly next to him that he decided against it. There will be time. Elland reached for the quill.
The poem you sent me is wonderful, please make sure to pass on my regards to the poet: I appreciate the [a paragraph or two gets dedicated to the way the poem flows, to the imagery evoked by careful choice of words, and the melodic nature of the written piece of art.] Thank you for the herbs and oils, and how did you know I like Turkish Delight? It's hard to find it in quality such as you found; the last time I had something this good was on the actual trip to Turkey for my father's business. I am so glad wizards have a much easier time transporting goods than muggles do.
"Turkish delight? Where?" Will chimed in, clearly having read everything Elland had written. The sweets being closer to Elland, the Hufflepuff reached out to grab one and bring it to hover by Will's face.
"Open up."
"Merlin, Elland, we're in public."
"We are not doing anything indecent, they won't think much of it. It's not like we are dating."
Will made a strange noise in the back of his throat and tensed up. Elland frowned and disengaged from Will a bit to look him in the eyes. Will was nervously smiling for some reason, his face still in red blotches from the blush.
"You'll give people the wrong idea," Will finally said quietly.
"And what of it? You act as if we wouldn't look good together," Elland tried to get a laugh out of Will but ended up hearing more nervous huffing.
Will was always so strange about those topics. One moment he would go into details about his kissing experiences, throw pick-up lines at Elland, or discuss theories he read on, erm, doing other activities. But then when Elland joked back about it, Will turned into a flushing mess. Elland wished he could understand him better. If only Will spoke up about what it all means!
"Well," Will finally said and nodded to the powdered sweet still between Elland's fingers. "Prove me we can dazzle them then."
The air between them suddenly became thicker as Elland hesitantly brought his fingers to Will's slightly parted lips. The Hufflepuff wasn't sure what to make of the look Will was giving him, with half-lidded eyes looking directly into Elland's as the boy leaned in the rest of the way to take the Turkish candy in. Elland felt Will's bottom lip drag along Elland's finger on accident, and Elland had so swallow at how slowly Will pulled away from him, the offering disappearing behind Will's closed lips.
"Now who's a blushing rose, huh?" Will whispered after having taken care of the confections.
"You," Elland didn't miss a heartbeat with that reply. Was he blushing? He didn't even realise. Will looked down at Elland's fingers and licked his lips.
"You still have some..."
"Oh."
Elland brought up his fingers to lick off the remaining powder, and he could've sworn that Will made a strangled noise, closing his eyes and covering his mouth.
"Elland."
"Yes?"
"You're a dumbass."
"Wait, what?"
Will disentangled himself from Elland's arm which was still holding him, and sat on the opposite side of the table from him, moving his books and burying himself behind them.
"What did I do!" Elland questioned in desperation, missing the warmth by his side already. There was no reply.
Elland looks at his fingers in frustration. If he didn't like the dessert, he should've said so! Or did Elland not play along well enough? They probably looked very convincing, didn't they? Wasn't that the goal?
With Will in this mood, good luck getting any straight answers out of him for a while. Elland sighed and reached for his quill again to finish writing the letter.
Please, let me know if you need any help with the opening. Anything from welcoming people to playing some music in the background! I think Will won't be opposed to designing some flyers for you either. Consider it our thank you for the flowers and sweets! With appreciation, Elland de Strontium P.S. Oh, be on the lookout for my owl in a couple of days: I'll make sure to send you some sweets that my family orders from the East. Perhaps some of it will be to your liking!

my dear, Raven with an S
request: no
pairing: Doris Hecat x Silas Reed
content: about 3k words, pretty cutesy, a short mention of possible danger, they're in the Forbidden Forest, playing with water in autumn, a date for birthday, picnic date, use of magic for candles, kissing, holding hands, dancing together by the river, let me know if I forgot to write something down
summary: Doris may have almost forgotten his birthday. She always finds a way to fix it, just like now... But perhaps, she has fixed the situation a bit too much this time.
my note: I may have to spell check it again later on...
It was October the twentieth, the trees were losing their leaves - and those have already turned brownish or orangish by that time. The grass was slightly covered with them, only adding to the warm colours surrounding the place. Thankfully, the sun decided to visit the place and allowed the two teenagers not to freeze from just walking through the Forbidden Forest. Yet, no one else beside the two of them seemed to be there. It was only for the better, as the two would have said. Because of that, the silence stayed between them until they were only few steps away from the place of their planned ‘date’.
“Should I be concerned about where we’re going?” Silas questioned, watching the girl. He held her hands the entire time, as he followed her barely without any hesitation. He didn’t even need to be convinced back when they were still in the school. But the farther they’ve walked, the bigger his smirk has been growing. Because how crazy it was that a girl like her has chosen that place as the one of his birthday present?
However, maybe the word ‘crazy’ was not perfect, considering that he knew well enough that her looks didn’t really fit her behaviour and so on. The brunet also knew that, in general, people can be different than what others assumed they were. Yet, he was still surprised that she was only walking deeper into the forest, acting as if it was the most normal thing ever. Or like they couldn’t walk into some area with spiders, goblins, or other creatures living their lives until they’d be able to attack them.
“No. It’s safe. Well, as safe as it can be in the forbidden forest. But we’re fine. And it’s going to be amazing! I promised you that I’d do something big for you, since I’ve almost forgotten about your birthday.” Doris explained, shortly turning to face him before only pulling him faster after herself. With her words, she has only confirmed his last thought, and that she herself has known how dangerous it could be.
Despite that, her smile was almost denying anything and everything that the Forbidden Forest was usually associated with. And in her mind, she was only repeating that the terrifying creatures wouldn’t be interested in the two of them going out for a picnic in the forest. That still didn’t really comfort her, so instead she came back to that perfect date in her mind. At the same time, the both of them have sped up their walk, as if the time was about to get cut short. Even though, the sun was still high up and the sky was still so beautifully blue, and so light that it almost matched the clouds on it.
The only thing that was still certain was that the birthday was not going to be ruined. She has already given the small part of his birthday present to the boy, and she has spent the last hours of the day on making the place perfect for him. It couldn’t get destroyed within the few minutes that it took them to walk back here. She was sure of it, because if it wasn’t true, then, it would have happened to her before now. And she has yet to experience any of that! Including losing her things in the forest or watching them be destroyed by whoever could be wandering around the places she’s been in.
“Yeah, you did. You also haven’t said anything about what you did or where we’re going. And looking at you, I feel like I’m not dressed for the right occasion. So what is it, gorgeous?” With his eyes on the girl, Silas waited for anything to left her pretty lips. His attention was only separated between that and remembering the path they’ve walked so far, so he could walk them back properly without asking for her help.
However, even after loudly voicing his thoughts, he hasn’t gotten the answer. He furrowed his eyebrows for a moment, before groaning in an overdone matter. The brunet tilted his head to the back, too. A smile came back to his face, immediately after hearing her chuckle. After all, it was an almost hypnotizing sound, one that was always charming his heart with each passing second. Then, he walked a bit faster, wanting to catch up and walk by Doris’ side. He also moved his arms to wrap one of them around her body. Of course, keeping his arm far enough to not make her uncomfortable or nervous, or well — to not cause any other negative reaction from her. But part of him knew that Doris was more comfortable with him than other men, since they’ve been close friends for the past few months.
After a while, they’ve stopped in front of a small area with less trees. The boy saw a circle-shaped table with a picnic basket standing on top of it right away. Within the next second, he also watched as the candles have lightened up and have flown into the air around them. He gently raised his eyebrows at that romantic atmosphere, not believing for way too long in everything that’s happening. His eyes only for a short second, as short as his own breath was back then, darted towards his ‘date’. Although he wasn’t shocked per se, because he has already figured out some logic behind this magic. Yet, the whole situation seemed purely unbelievable to him. And when the other teenager let go of his hands, Silas only walked closer to the table. He checked the food inside the basket as if to know whether it’s real. But he could barely stop himself from eating something.
“I suppose you like it?” Doris spoke up, watching him from the space next to the table. Each second, she shifted her body weight from full feet to only her tiptoes. The corner of her lips stretched across her face, and into a bright smile. Her eyes seemed lighter, too, much brighter than the sun alone could have ever made them. “You may taste them, if you want. I don’t mind, we will start eating it at some point anyway.”
And so later, they’ve taken their seats and focused more on the food. The girl listened to him, as they’ve been eating. Just in case he talked about the food, so she could share the comments with her brother. She would love for Reed to enjoy it, but she also knew that Roy would appreciate a compliment or two for his kitchen anyway. She herself knew that it was fantastic. She didn’t need another reason to think so. That’s why her attention didn’t leave Silas just for it to be on something else. And when the satisfaction showed on his face, she only became more glad that she didn’t destroy his birthday by forgetting about them for the entire month before it.
“I’ll let Roy know, then. To be honest, I don’t even know why I was worried that you wouldn’t like that. I knew that he’s amazing at cooking.” A short, partially nervous, laugh left her lips. She gently stretched her arms by her side, pulling by the sleeves of her pink shirt. If the boy leaned closer, she was sure that his own fingertips would be touching hers. Despite everything, Doris stayed careful of the candles surrounding them. Since she wouldn’t want to accidentally catch anything on fire… even if it would be pretty easy to stop anything from getting worse.
“Roy’s, um, he’s your brother, right?” The Reed teenager mumbled, putting the last bits of the food into his mouth. He glanced up at her from between his eyelashes, simply swallowing the rest of the sweet. One that seemed to whisper into his mind to take more, and more. His eyes for a second stopped at her lips, before coming up to her eyes. A smirk have slowly grown on his face. He was more than happy to talk about her family, mostly because he knew how important all of them were for the girl sitting in front of him. Partially, because he wouldn’t mind to know more before meeting them officially.
Yet, Silas could easily tell that he no longer had her attention. When he followed her gaze, there was a small river running past the forest. It was filled with leaves in many different colours — even if most of them were brown. He must have agreed with her that it was a view worth being ignored for a moment or for a few moments. But before he was able to speak to the Hecat teenager, the girl’s blue hair came to his view, while also moving farther away from him. Then, he watched as she has thrown her shoes on the ground without a single care for what would happen later.
“So our location changed yet again, and now we’re going to make our own version of the Rapunzel story?” He whispered, knowing that she was already too far away from him to hear it properly. So he just stood up from his chair, closed the basket with dirty dishes inside it, and followed her towards the river. Then, he added to his previous words a more teasing comment, while his eyes observed her with the same adoration as whenever she has laughed or smiled. “Oh, my dear, Rapunzel. Do you wish to let down your hair for me?”
“I’ve heard you. Which Rapunzel version are we talking about? Cause I’d rather you didn’t end up completely blind. Or do you wish I carried two children for you?” She questioned, kneeling over the river with her feet inside it. Her hands slowly moved through the water, catching a leaf that has caught her gaze or pulling an exceptionally beautiful rock out of the river. Then, Doris tilted her head back up to focus on the brunet instead. “And I doubt my hair are long enough to carry you.”
With the time passing, she was only focusing more on the leaves in the river than the boy next to her. She ended up putting the leaves together in a line, and then, tying them together at the very end. After that, Doris slowly leaned closer to Silas. But before she kneeled on the grass itself, she watched as he himself moved. She ended up kneeling on his jacket instead, which softened her smile more. It was cute that he cared so deeply, and technically unnecessary, about keeping her clothes clean.
She didn’t think more about it, and just put the little crown out of the leaves on the top of his head. With her fingers, she brushed away some drops of water that wanted to fall down to his eyes. She was still kneeling in front of him, feeling the warmth of his body. Thanks to her gently holding his face in her hands, because what else could she be doing? Especially with the way he was still gazing at her, like she has just given him the moon and the sun. As if it was called, the sun began moving down the sky, which turned more orange with each second. So she pulled away from the teenager once more.
“I would hope it’s not the first one. Since I’m not so sure that your tears are as magical as you are… Or your hair.” The Reed boy whispered once more, sitting on the ground next to the river. He stretched out his legs towards her, not caring whether his shoes would end up wet. He leaned on his arms and kept them behind him during it. However, his eyes were still on the blue-haired teenager, as he was unable to stop himself from admiring her the entire time that he could do so.
Later, the brunet smiled proudly with the little crown made by her on his head. He himself saw the way the sunset took over the sky and the entire place around them. Because of that, he stood up along with Doris, shaking off the dirt or anything else left from the ground on the jacket. He put the piece of clothing back on, knowing deep down that some leaves and dirt would be still on it. But he didn’t mind it as long as having his own jacket dirty meant that the girl wouldn’t scratch her knees or get her stockings dirty.
Once they were both ready to go, Silas pulled the teenager closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her, mostly to keep her warmer than she’d be with only her clothes on. They kept talking between one another, as they grabbed everything and walked back to Hogwarts. Inside the castle, Silas dropped Doris off in front of Fat Lady’s painting and, well, her common room. He pressed a short kiss against her palm as a goodbye. Both of them didn’t comment on how the leaf-crown almost fell of his head, only sharing a small smile because of it. And then, he himself returned to his dormitory with his mind filled with images of his previous meeting with Doris.

Doris, hi!
How have you been? This is William, a Slytherin prefect. I know your brother but I think we've never been formally introduced? Just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery! I know you weren't feeling well last week so I just want to make sure everything is alright!
On a side note, my friends and I are having a short Summoner's Court tournament today. We always welcome new and old players! No pressure to come, of course, but it's such a warm sunny day today! Thought I'd extend the invitation, get that vitamin D in your system to combat the sickness!
With best regards, William Abbott ☀️
Will, hi!
I hope I can call you that. How are you? And yes, I've heard about you from my brother. Not much, though, mostly that you're a great player. But I'm sure he didn't lie about that!
Thank you dearly for the kind words, too. I'm feeling much better now! Even if there's still a few days before the full recovery. How are you, though? I surely wish that you're feeling healthier than me. After all, we can't lose our greatest Seeker!
And oh, Merlin! Thank you so much for the invitation! It really sound exciting. And I will make sure to remember and think this over. But... who am I fooling. I can't wait to see it happen. See you soon, then, William!
Sending love,
Doris Hecat

under the stars || Hecats
request: no
pairing: Doris Hecat & Roy Hecat
content: about 3k words, full moon, mention of bleeding/injuries/bandages, most likely incorrect healing of wounds, let me know if I forgot to write something down
summary: It's March 25th, and the twins need to go through the full moon all alone. In Hogwarts during the 1890s, too.
It was March twenty fifth, the sunset has practically ended. Cold air was hitting the twins’ faces, as Roy helped Doris walk up the stairs. He had an arm around her waist, and held her hand the entire way. His eyebrows were narrowed slightly with the way he could clearly see the tiredness on her face. Although, he was able to convince her not to carry the bag this time. So at least in this way all of it may have been easier for the girl.
Later on, the Hecat boy opened the door for her. He held it open, still making sure that his sister wouldn't fall. He followed her not long after, closing the door again. He also dropped the bag near them, and they both walked up to the bed. He took off Doris coat, putting hers and his own into the wardrobe which their parents have lifted once his sister joined him.
"Do you need anything for now?" He questioned, and glanced into her eyes. The pink-haired teenager watched the girl, who was sitting on the bed. He kneeled in front of her. His head was tilted, when he kept looking into Doris’ eyes. Roy couldn’t even hide his own worried expression.
She shook her head a bit. Yet, she kept on watching her brother. Part of her wanted to ask Roy to lay with her in his Animagus form. But she still wasn’t sure about it. And she also felt that him turning into a lynx would only mean her own transformation was coming closer. She didn’t want that, she would much rather stay there forever, and never experience this again. But she didn’t have a choice on this. She had to go through the full moon, and she will have to do the same next month.
Instead, Doris leaned her head against the wall. Her hands stayed on her own lap, as her gaze fell on them. She closed her eyes, and breathed out again. The ache of her head was growing stronger. And when the blue-haired teenager looked up, she saw the sky be as dark as it could be. But clouds were still moving in front of her eyes, covering the stars, and the moon itself.
"You should go, to transform alone. You know…" She whispered, grabbing her skirt in her own fists. She gazed at him for a moment, a worried expression appearing on her face. Her eyes looked much bigger, and much rounder now. The corners of her lips turned down, too.
Roy sighed, nodding his head. After that, he also focused on the moon hidden behind the clouds. As he kept standing near the girl, he leaned closer to her. He pressed a quick kiss to the top of her head. At the same time, he muttered a quick reassurance along with the ‘I love you’. Only then, did the teenager actually took a step back, and moved away from the bed.
Once he hid behind the wall, in one of the empty rooms, Hecat took off his clothes. He immediately put them away into a careful pile on the chair. He shook his head again, trying to relax. Yet, that didn’t seem to help with Doris’ transformation being so close to happening. Before he even did something, he stretched his body. He put both of his hands on his back, leaning in that direction too.
Then, the boy transformed into an animal. His bones cracked, and shortened during it. Fur slowly started to appear on his body. Whiskers grew from his face, as his entire facial and body features changed to those of a lynx. Once he was certain that nothing else had to be different, Roy stretched out his entire body. His front paws moved farther away from him.
At the same time, Doris was dragging out everything. She moved her legs to the side, and placed her feet on the ground. Her eyes became teary, as she started to take off her clothes. Her hands were shaking, yet she was still trying to keep herself calm. She also turned her back towards the windows of the building. Once she was naked, she threw her clothes back on the bed. The Hecat girl straightened her back, and moved her hand to the hair. Taking off the bow, she let the hair fall loose.
But as she turned towards the night sky, she already recognize the clear light of the moon. And then, she saw it. The pain of her body grew stronger, only spreading farther around it. Her pupils became bigger, covering almost the entire colour of her eye. The white sclera of them became bloody, as if the blood vessels of them burst. Now, all of it made her eyes seem much darker, much more blurry. Her skin became much paler, and her bones started to crack. Her teeth became longer and sharper, turning into fangs of a wolf. At the same time, she let out a groan of pain. Tears gathered in the corners of the girl’s eyes.
The Hecat boy stood in the middle of the way to another room. He stayed there for a moment longer, listening into the screams, howls, and cries of his sister. But as everything quietened, he walked closer to the main room. He stared at the werewolf sitting in the corner of the room. The bed was flipped to the side, Doris’ clothes were laying on the floor, and the table had a broken leg (again). Roy could even recognize the fresh claw marks on the walls.
Still as the lynx, he walked up closer to the creature. Even though he kept a safe distance, and moved slowly, he trusted the girl. As if right now it wasn’t an actual, dangerous werewolf in front of him. But his twin sister, who he has spent an entire life with. His own eyes were focused on hers. Yet, he was still watching her. He still watched out for her reactions, not wanting to scare her off. That would only be an unnecessary risk. And the boy didn’t plan on taking that risk, not right now.
His ears were pulled back, and his tail moved closer to the floor. The entire time, he placed his paws slowly on the ground. Just to be sure that no sound would be caused by it. Finally, he was right next to the girl. He sat on the ground, and only kept watching her. He knew that right now there was no way for him to get in contact with her. Only the actions they’re both doing.
But Doris growled at him. Her body was turned towards Roy’s. Yet, all she felt right now was anger. And she knew there was no reason to feel that. That it wasn’t his fault it happened, that he can’t take her pain away, or that he won’t magically make it all go away. He just can’t, but even then, Doris secretly didn’t want to believe it. That thought only made her emotions become more unreasonable, more unstable. It’s almost like she was getting more crazy with each second.
And as her brother moved closer to her, her own paw rose closer to him. Her claws pierce through his fur, his skin. Her claws caused blood to spill from Roy’s shoulder. She stared at it for a moment. Her annoyance was just as bad as before, and now she couldn’t even focus on anything other than the red liquid falling down to the floor. Deep down, she felt guilty for hurting the boy. She knew that it would most likely leave scarring, too.
Yet, the werewolf teenager didn’t move, when the other Hecat twin cleaned himself from the blood. She just watched him lick most of it away, and how he shook off the discomfort. Which he surely felt after she literally scratched him in the shoulder!
The teenager stumbled back, still in his Animagus form. His eyes stayed on Doris for a moment. He still let out a hiss, when the pain in his shoulder only grew stronger. After that, he turned his own head to the side, and started to clean up the blood from his fur. For the short moment he wasn’t even thinking about his sister. Despite the fact that she was right next to him. But Roy knew that the smell can cause Doris react more to everything around her.
Even after the next few hours, when the full moon’s effects ended, dried blood were visible on his body. At least, though he no longer felt the pain. Which seemed to be the only good part about this. In that time, he also got some smaller scars on his muzzle. Or even on the rest of his body. However, the boy didnt have time to clean himself up perfectly. Not with Doris being so close to him.
Right now, Hecat was laying near the flipped bed. His front paws were placed underneath his own head, and were crossed on the ground. He was already becoming tired after this entire time of being awake. Not counting the fact he also needed to keep Doris in check, and help her get rid of all of the energy before the morning. Just so hopefully she’d survive the rest of the day.
Once the full moon was practically over, Doris was still hiding in the corner of the room. In her form, she’s been curled into a ball with her head against the floor. But with nothing better to do, the prolonging time made her emotions overwhelm her. She struggled against her own power, and pressed her own claws against the skin of her thighs. Yet, she didn’t feel the pain, she didn’t feel the blood running down to the floor, she didn’t even feel the difference.
As the girl turned to the side, she saw the moon going away. She watched, as the sky was becoming lighter, and the way the sun was slowly rising. At the same time, she began to change back. She rolled to the side, and straightened back. Her focus completely moved away from her brother. Doris felt her bones crack again, and her skin colour returning to normal. She squeezed her eyes shut, as the pain only grew. It also spread throughout her entire body. Because of that, she didn’t hear Roy leave the room.
Meanwhile, Hecat boy walked back to the other room. He stretched out for the last time, and hid behind the wall. At the same time, he was standing right in front of his own clothes. Yet, he closed his eyes again, focusing on transforming back to his human form. The crack of his bones was heard all around the room, before he was able to stand back up. Finally, his body was also the same length as before. And then, he also felt the coldness of the house they were in. After all, it was still pretty early in the spring.
Roy glanced to the side, and focused his gaze on the wound on his shoulder. He moved to the side, and actually cleaned it up with water. He disinfected it, before putting a bandage over it. Right after doing so, he also put on his clothes. Yet, his movements were much slower. His entire body was aching, as he tried to push through it. Deep down, he knew that Doris was going through something much, much worse than him. Because of that, the dark-eyed teenager didn’t even want to let himself get drawn by this pain.
When the boy felt more warmth, he left the room. He leaned against the wall, focusing his hearing on what was happening. For some time he could still hear some movement. But after a while, everything quietened down. So he could only suspect that the transformation was over. The pink-haired teenager walked into the room, and kept watching Doris as she sat on the bed.
Earlier, the blue-haired girl was laying on the ground. She was already in her human form. But the pain didn’t subside at all, at the same time she stared at the dried blood on her body. After a moment, she stood back up. She carefully leaned over the bed for her clothes. Then, Doris put them on to cover herself up. Once she moved the bed, the girl sat on it carefully. A short sob left her lips, when the fabric brushed against her injuries. Only causing her to feel more pain, and to hope that her clothes won’t get extremely dirty from the blood.
Once her brother walked into the room, the Hecat girl focused her eyes on him. For a second, she didn’t say anything. Yet, she could still tell how tired the other teenager was, and she could see the tiny scars on his face. And the… Oh Merlin, and the huge one going right across his shoulder! The one, and not the only one, she has caused. How could she do that? How could he still want to go through this each month? Doris couldn’t believe in any of those things. She felt horrible for every thing she has done so far for the boy, and for the way he was never angry at her.
“Roy, I’m so… I’m so sorry, it looks… I’m sorry.” She mumbled, staring at him the entire time. Her heart beat faster, and her eyes didn’t move away from his wound. Tears were still visible in them, as quilt washed all over her face. But the comforting smile of Roy actually made her feel a bit better. Even if she knew that this was, and probably will be, happening every time.
The other Hecat twin shook his head. He grabbed the bag with first-aid kit and some healing vials, before walking up to her. He sat on the bed next to the girl. He gave her the Wiggenweld Potion, and focused on other wounds at the same time. When he opened the bag, Roy realized he completely forgot about the Essence of Dittany. And there was also no vials from the last full moons. He let out a sigh, trying not to get irritated by this.
“I know you did not mean to… Can you show me your thigh?” He whispered with his eyes focused on Doris’ face. He saw her nod, as she also moved the fabric of her skirt away. The pink-haired boy started to clean her wound. His touch was still as soft as it was possible. Once there was no blood on the girl’s skin, he also disinfected it. Right after this he bandaged the wound.
Roy repeated the same thing on her arm. His eyes slowly moved back to hers. After a moment or so, he was finally over with cleaning her wounds. At least, in the way that he was able to. He put the rest of the things into the bag, closing it again. Yet, he didn’t move from the bed, and stayed near his sister the entire time. Hecat felt as she leaned against him, and saw her closing her own eyes. “Do you feel pain anywhere else?”
Doris held the vial with Wiggenweld for a moment. She watched Roy, before drinking it to the end. A grimace showed on her face shortly. The taste of it could’ve been better, and even with years of drinking it, she still hasn’t gotten used to that. Finally, the girl put down the empty vial on the floor. She stared at it, and at the bag for a while. The corners of her lips curled, when she saw the annoyance in Roy’s eyes. Though, she didn’t actually mind him not having anything more helpful.
After a second, she hissed feeling the boy’s movement. Even when he tried not to, it was uncomfortable for her. She glanced back at the bandage on her thigh. She still felt him focus on cleaning her arm, instead. Hecat girl let her head fall to the back. She stared at the roof with multiple wet stains, broken parts, and more wood. Nothing that could’ve make her think of anything other than the burning of her body.
“No, seems all…” She mumbled, as she turned more to the side. With closed eyes, she placed her cheek on the boy’s shoulder. She breathed out, trying to calm down. The tiredness only grew, as the sun was rising more, and more. Although, thanks to Roy she stood back up. Her body was already becoming numb from how hurt she was. But they still needed to get back to their dorm rooms.
Roy put the bag over his unharmed shoulder, still holding Doris by the waist. He waited for a moment, since he wanted to make sure that she’s standing on her own. He also let her fix her clothes. After that, he walked her towards the door. As he kept her close to him, the Hecat boy opened the door. His eyes moved back to her. He checked on her, before leaving the building.
“I got you. I’ll carry you in a moment.” He added, before closing the door. Once he did that, he put his arms underneath Doris’, and also under her knees. With a bit of struggle, he lifted her up. Only for a short moment, he closed his eyes. As if that would have helped him with getting rid of the pain in his other shoulder. Yet, he kept a gentle but secure grip of her the entire time.
Meanwhile, the blue-haired girl watched her brother. She had her arm wrapped around his own, as she tried to keep her body posture steady. She walked out of the room with him. The whole time, she was near him, right by the boy’s side. And when he started to carry her, Doris’ hand instinctively moved to his shoulder, and around his neck. But before she could touch his own wound, she corrected herself. So she wrapped the other arm around Roy’s torso.
“I could’ve walked, technically. And I will have to, anyway.” She whispered, before adding with a still tired expression. “But thank you.”

Question #5 in Lemon Balm! Does your OC have any recurring dreams? If so then do they attribute any meaning to these? Do they find themselves reliving previous experiences? Or witnessing visions of a possible future? Do they ever talk about their dreams to others?
Doris: Of future? No, but I dream a lot about the places I've seen. All of those breathtaking, mysterious corners of the Forbidden Forest. Though, they're usually not very long. And I don't think they're recurring, or have any deeper meaning. To be honest, I haven't even given it any thoughts until now! But I do adore analyzing dreams with others. Whether it be my own, or theirs.
Roy: No. I did have a few dreams... Or nightmares if you preferred to call it that. They just never were recurring, or precognitive dreams. Although, I must say that it is rather comforting, I was never able to predict my own future through the dreams. Also, most of them I would say have a meaning. However, it is not one I would like to share with other people.

Both, but especially Roy, would be able to do anything for their loved ones. But for Doris it'd still be more difficult. For each other, though, they would do anything - no matter the consequences. They're like the biggest priority of the other twin.

[ That looks so cool! I'm open to receiving questions from this, too by the way... ]
Herbal OC Questions.
A little list of OC questions based on the folklore of herbs in Northern Europe. Please note that this is by no means an exhaustive list and the symbolism and use of herbs changed over time and varied between different communities (for example in the Early Middle Ages, Parsley was associated with mortality and death, but by the Renaissance and later it became associated with lasting pleasure and festivity).
Rosemary - Memory, Mental Acuity and Recollection of Information.
What is your OC's earliest memory? Is it one they would sooner forget or do they recall it with fondness? Do they genuinely remember it? Or have they just been told about it so often by their family or community that they can picture it clearly?
Does your OC find it easy to remember names or faces? Do they need to write things down in order to remember them properly? Perhaps they rely upon others to remind them?
Has your OC ever memorised information for use in public - such as a prepared speech, a song they have practiced, or a story that is part of their cultural heritage?
What is something that can instantly take your OC back to a previous time in their lives, whether happy or sad? A distinctive scent? A piece of music? The taste of a specific food?
What impression does your OC leave upon others? How are they generally remembered by those who have met them? Is this how they would actually want to be remembered?
Sage - Prosperity, Prudence and the Accumulation of Wealth.
How important is money or material wealth to your OC? Do they believe it is possible to ever have "enough"? Or is there no upper limit to their desire for riches?
Is your OC a spendthrift? Or do they carefully consider each minor expenditure? Do they generally have a sensible idea of how much something should cost? Or are they easily manipulated by cunning merchants and beguiling promotions?
Has your OC ever experienced a dramatic change in their personal wealth or financial security? Were their family once very poor or very wealthy compared to others in their society? If they were once wealthy and are now impoverished, then who do they blame for their reduced circumstances? If they were once poor and now find themselves wealthy, to what do they credit this change in fortune?
How sympathetic is your OC to those who are poorer or in more desperate circumstances than themselves? Do they see them as blameless victims of circumstance? Perhaps they might even work to try to alleviate the material hardships of others? Or do they sneer at the poor? Perhaps seeing them as a resource to exploit or simply as an expendable nuisance?
How does your OC obtain money? Do they have a regular income? Or do they live off inherited wealth? Do they earn money from different jobs or quests? Or are they reliant on the kindness and charity of others?
Sweet Marjoram - Love, Happiness and Fidelity in Marriage.
To what degree is your OC dependent upon other people for their happiness? Are they relatively self-sufficient? Perhaps even mistrustful of others? Or do they need to be surrounded by friends or in the company of their family in order to be happy?
What does your OC believe to be the ingredients of a happy marriage or relationship? Do they believe that they could provide these things to another person? Do others see their expectations as reasonable? Or are they quite demanding of themselves and any potential partner?
Could your OC ever forgive a lover or spouse who was unfaithful to them? If they have an open relationship then is this reliant on them not hearing about their partner's peccadillos? Or is learning about their sexual adventures all part of the fun?
Through what gift or gesture might your OC signify their love or devotion to another? Does this reflect the culture in which they were raised? Their personality? Or simply the preferences of the partner in question?
Does your OC believe it is acceptable to admire another's beauty, even if they are in a committed relationship with someone else? Do they feel guilty if they find themselves admiring or lusting after an attractive stranger? Or do they believe it is no issue when they find their eye wandering, but would be outraged were their lover or spouse to do the same?
Lemon Balm - Sleep, Relaxation and the Banishment of Care.
Does your OC find it easy to relax? Or are they constantly tense or anxious? Has this always been the case or have they experienced significant trauma or harm in the past which has made them particularly fearful or tense?
Does your OC have a regular sleep routine? Or does it vary depending upon circumstance? Do they generally sleep for the same amount of time every night (or day)?
What does your OC do to unwind or to calm themselves? Do they use alcohol or drugs? Or do they meditate or pray? If they are in a relationship then are there things their lover or spouse knows will reduce their tension - perhaps through providing a listening ear, a relaxing massage or sexual release?
What is your OC's greatest source of anxiety? Does it relate to how they are perceived by others? Or their ability to adhere to their own standards or values? Or are they most afraid of harm coming to those they care about?
Does your OC have any recurring dreams? If so then do they attribute any meaning to these? Do they find themselves reliving previous experiences? Or witnessing visions of a possible future? Do they ever talk about their dreams to others?
Catmint - Ferocity, Courage and Quarrelsomeness.
How quick is your OC to anger? Can they fly into a fury, seemingly out of nowhere? Or does it gradually build like a gathering storm?
What motivates your OC to be courageous? A sense of honour or duty? A need to maintain a reputation for fearlessness? A bloody-minded refusal to be pushed around? A wish to protect the vulnerable? The need to win against all odds?
What subject is your OC most likely to argue about? And who are they most likely to argue about it with?
Does your OC often bicker with others? Do they complain frequently? Is this due to genuine dissatisfaction or anger? Or is it done in a slightly tongue in cheek fashion?
When was your OC the most angry they have ever been? What about this situation made them so angry? Was it the person who provoked them? The injustice of the situation? Or their own powerlessness in the face of circumstance?
Sorrel - Affability, Pleasantness and Agreeableness.
How easy is it for others to get along with your OC? Are they easy-going and tolerant? Or stern and exacting? Do they often find themselves picking fault with others and criticising them? Or are they able to view their faults and foibles philosophically - or even with affection?
How quick is your OC to forgive the transgressions of others? Do they bear grudges for extended periods? How important is it that the other person admits their fault?
What do your OC's friends like most about them? What might they consider their "best" quality?
How polite is your OC? Are they courteous and considerate of others? Or gruff and tactless? If they are polished in their manners then is this always a positive quality? Or perhaps something calculated and employed whilst engaged in political or social intrigue? If they are rough in their manners then is this always a bad thing? Or does their lack of external gloss actually reflect their honesty and integrity?
Does your OC always need to be right in every discussion? Or are they sometimes willing to concede a point for the sake of social harmony (or simply a quiet life)? Are there some topics upon which they will never compromise their position? Or can they usually simply shrug and let others be wrong? Does this vary depending on whether the subject is relatively trivial or of great importance to them personally?
Sweet Woodruff - Humility, Modesty and Service to Others.
Is your OC ever boastful or prone to vainglory? Is there something they have achieved that they can't help mentioning at any given opportunity? Do they like to remind others that they are particularly beautiful, powerful or smart?
Is your OC willing to help others, even without receiving praise or reward? Or will they only stir themselves to assist another person if they stand to benefit in some fashion from doing do?
How does your OC respond when someone praises them or pays them a compliment? Do they become embarrassed? Do they minimise their own achievements or even change the subject? Or do they revel in the praise and admiration of others? Are there some things they are more comfortable with being praised for than others? Might they be quite content to be lauded for their martial skill or academic ability, but mortified to be complimented for their beauty or sexual allure?
Does your OC see themselves as being of particular importance compared to the general population? Do they consider themselves to have greater value than the common folk? Perhaps because they are capable of achieving things that regular people are not? Or because they were born into a position of wealth and power? Or even because they have seen things that would drive ordinary people to madness or despair? Conversely, if your OC maintains that they are no more special than anyone else, how realistic is this position? How different are they really when compared to the average person? Are they actually in denial about their own significance?
How much credit does your OC give to others for their own success? Do they see themselves as having achieved things only through cooperation and working with others? Or are they convinced that they have accomplished everything purely through their own efforts and ability?

Dark stuff, fights, wounds etc. + spoilers for my HL book
For Doris, I don't think I have a lot yet. The only thing I can think of is her being a werewolf, and going through the full moons mostly on her own. Especially after Roy went to Hogwarts.
And in Roy's life, it would be probably everything from the final repository/fight and so on. Because it's also the moment, he gets his arm chopped off. And also, after losing Professor Fig he stopped caring for himself. Not even for his own wounds, just letting it be as it was after getting checked up.
what's the worst thing you've put your oc through?

Roy? Probably the moment, he was able to walk well on his own. And like, actually understand what's going on around him.
Doris? She may still believe in them, actually... Kidding, kidding. But it still took her much longer, even after Roy told her they're not real.
When did your OC stop believing in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy?

Dear Doris and Roy,
Do you guys have a special connection to your owl/owls? Did you get them before going to Hogwarts on your first year? Or maybe it's a family owl? How did you make a choice!
— An owl connoisseur
Hi! Thank you for the question <3
We have the same owl, which also used to be our family owl. It's so amazing, because it's like part of the home always being with us. You know? So yes, I would say we have a special connection with Captain. Roy confirms that, too!
We've never even thought of getting another one for us personally, to be honest. Anyway. I hope you'll be able to relax a bit today.
Doris Hecat
