Sorry, I'm a little confused about the trans option. Can we play as non-binary? Do we have to make the MC transition to be considered trans, since non-binary is trans? Are the gender neutral pronouns assumed to be like, a secret third non-trans thing?

you can play non-binary. there are gender neutral pronouns, i used them under the umbrella of non-binary that you can pick in the prologue. however, if you or anyone else wants, when the opportunity comes up for mc to choose to transition (or not) i can always put in options as specifically as i can such as cis, trans, non-binary with the options like male, female or androgyny presenting.

hopefully this makes sense, but if there’s any other confusion or concerns please feel free to message me. i want everyone to be able to play mc as either an extension of themselves or something completely different and inclusion is super important to me.

the options will happen twice, once in chapter two for mc to say they wish to transition/they don’t identify as who they were anymore (mc can’t fully commit to the act of transitioning because of mc being captive in the prison). the final choice is in chapter three, for mc to commit to identifying as trans or not and how they feel having transitioned.

yes, they do. we’ll see little easter eggs about them before we see them again though.

What made you decide against making Jasser a full RO? Is there a chance you’ll change your mind later?

because i know that jasser as a character has no true respect for MC or their choices, they feel very little remorse (if any at all) for the things that they do. for this story i didn’t want to give any option of mc continuing to stay with their abuser.

if i had any interest in changing it, i will not be changing jasser’s character to do it. meaning that mc will enviably end up as jasser’s mistress or something along the lines of still being a prisoner to jasser’s desires. if there’s enough interest, i would consider doing it but it won’t be until the story is completely finished (also mc couldn’t be with any other ro if you choose to do a jasser ending).

Why does a Male Jasser let MC have the baby (even if still born) but a female Jasser will abort the baby regardless ?

because a male jasser wouldn’t have to suffer the consequences of a destroyed reputation like a female jasser would. gender norms are very much alive in the world they live in, so a female jasser would deal with much more backlash from being pregnant by a prisoner than a male jasser would deal with by getting a prisoner pregnant.

its not going to make their routes drastically different, in terms of trauma to mc. a female jasser has a few more cards up her sleeve, so that route will be just as angsty (imo).

yes, mc can absolutely try that. that’s where the miscarriage/stillbirth option comes in. if mc is willing to continue the pregnancy that will result in stillbirth, however if mc chooses to try to force an abortion it will end in miscarriage.

4. Is there any way MC could've kept the child ? Or would they have a similar experience to MC? Locked up and all. Would they be separated from the MC?

thank you!! i love questions lol. jasser’s route is fun (traumatic one for mc), but great for me to write because of the angst.

1. MC finds out fairly late, because of the stress on her body. Also, because MC is so young when they’re taken into custody and the years she’s been punished, her body never gets to regulate her cycle. So it wouldn’t be uncommon for her not to get it that often.

2. You’ll be able to choose plenty of options when it comes to MC’s thoughts. She can be hopeful, dreadful or just feel woefully unprepared/overwhelmed. There will be options to say MC feels disconnected from herself because of the pregnancy. There will be a chance to say if MC wants children too, none at all or specifically this child.

3. Yes, to both. MC will be able to experience all of the emotions, and they’ll be able to change as the pregnancy develops.

4. If MC had the child it would have had the same experience as MC. However it would have happened in two ways, MC would have to accept help from the King or reject it. Accepting help means MC would be able to keep their baby (atleast until they were a child, say 7 or so) where then the child would be treated exactly as MC. Rejecting the King’s help mean the King would basically kidnap MC’s child and take them as their own, if the child had powers like MC they would then be treated like MC.

5. If the baby survived, MC would have to either accept or reject the King’s help as mentioned in the previous answer. The King does not condone the acts between Jasser and MC. Jasser knows this too, but tries to convince the King it’s a good way to keep MC controlled.

6. You’ll be able to choose between a miscarriage or stillborn. MC will also be able to decide the baby’s gender and name, if MC is interested in doing so or not.

7. MC will find out shortly after their 20th birthday (yay beating teen pregnancy) ((barely)).
