I hold a lot of respect for what this blog is doing and am incredibly appreciative of what it is accomplishing as well, but I am unfortunately only discovering this blog through my interest in the work of one of the aforementioned bands/men. In fact, they are my favorite artist. This is not a dilemma I have ever encountered before. What should I do? Or, better yet, what can I do?

I narrowly escaped an attempted assault by Wyatt Bridges, a manager at a Los Angeles venue we both worked at. He had been flirtatious at work in a way I thought was inappropriate long before this occurred. It was our company holiday party, I was clearly drunk and trying to collect myself alone in the kitchen space backstage before going home. He entered the room, looked at my empty glass, physically cornered me and chased me out of the room when I made a break for it. I exited out the door to the kitchen, closing the door on him while he pried it open with his arm. That part was caught on surveillance video which I later asked to see after I confronted him at our sister venue and he denied everything. I confronted him in front of witnesses. I've seen him be violent with other colleagues and no one I told my story to was surprised.  From what I understand, he was encouraged to leave the organization (not fired) and eventually got his job back after his replacement quit. Beware. I'm sure I'm not the first and won't be the last.

Christian James Oppel, who goes by both Godforbid and The Handsome Devil sexually assaulted me after getting out of control drunk at his own show. A year later he goes between blocking me and making new accounts to follow me.

Kevin Barnes knowingly preys on underage girls and his band covers it up. It happened to a friend and she was starry eyed but she did not feel cool about it later. Another girl here got assaulted by him too it sounds like a pattern

I had a not great, non consensual experience with Aaron Bondaroff (Know Wave) about 5 years ago. Be careful xx

I know for a fact that men are using this page to post allegations. How do you plan on guaranteeing that this is a woman-only space?

I don’t - as suggested in the post below, I sometimes post submissions which I find distasteful or insensitive because I think they serve an illusory purpose; there’s no way for me to gatekeep the identity or perspectives of anonymous posters. As for false allegations, I try my best to screen submissions for content which is obviously vindictive or suspiciously lacking detail, but I guess I rely on the goodwill of the community to be respectful of this resource.

‘Multiple sexual harassment accounts...haha’. The language used in some posts is highly inappropriate, gleeful and lacking in sensitivity. Please take this int account when publishing posts.

Thanks for your feedback. It’s hard for me to toe the line of respecting everyone’s voice as a submissions-based blog - totally open to more feedback about how to do this. While some may find the language of some posts insensitive, I think it also serves an informative purpose in terms of insight to the discourse that pervades conversations on this topic.

I think the “haha” you are referring to is akin to a depressed sigh, for what it’s worth - I don’t think the poster genuinely thinks it’s funny.

Jeffertitti, Gabriel pacheco, butter tones, along with many others have multiple sexual harassment accounts on them yet continue to play almost every show in echo park haha promoters know this. we all do.
