I swear to fuck if one more loser ass man gets upset at me for drilling holes in “collectibles” I’m going to start actually drilling holes in collectibles.

Same for loser ass men (it's always men) thinking they're gotcha-ing me for saying my earrings aren't real. Use your logic, y'all. Why would I sell a pair of earrings made out of not one but TWO $500 collectible pieces and turn around and sell them for $27, US shipping included. Also, consider that bootlego makers often do things that the official brand doesn't do. We wouldn't have most of my clone trooper earrings without them.

Fantastic Four: First steps review!

Hey, everyone 👋 it's a few days late but here is my review of Fantastic Four: First steps.

[⚠️ Spoiler warning!⚠️]

First off, as a kid who grew up with the original Fantastic Four movies where Chris Evans played Johnny Storm, I must say this movie blows those out of the water (and Fan4tstic. I didn't hate that one but it was different)

This movie does everything I would want a Fantastic Four movie to do.

Sue is an actual character with personality and isn't just there for eye candy (looking at you original FF movies)

Sue is a power house in this movie, like jeez!

Reed is as scientific and goal-oriented as possible. But is still that caring family man.

Ben is well Ben. He's the Thing. I love how casual everyone seems about him unlike how in Fantastic Four (2005) or in Fan4tstic where at first everyone treats him or views him as a monster.

This Ben is hailed as a hero. No one calls him a monster other maybe his own mind.

Johnny is one of the best characters in this movie. Like I knew I was gonna like him but dang. Dude is a goof when he wants to be but he can also lock in and play it smart when he needs to. He deciphers the Silver Surfer's language and almost willingly sacrifices himself at least three times in the movie to save his family.

That's Johnny Storm for ya.

Every single member of the Four feels focused even the baby. It's not just Reed's movie, or Sue's movie or Franklin's. It's everyone's.

H.e.r.b.i.e is a cute little addition to the movie. I remember watching some NerdSync video about why he was created cause TV censors didn't want Johnny on TV cause they were afraid kids would set themselves on fire??? So, they created H.e.r.b.i.e. to replace him for the old FF cartoon from the 60s, I think.

H.e.r.b.i.e. is basically C-3P0 in R2's body if I had to describe him. Helpful, but not that useful. He has his moments though.

Silver Surfer is a menace. She is a threat. She ends up destroying the teleports they made to teleport the world away from Galactus. She destroys all the teleporters over the world in the span of like a minute!? The chick is fast!

I quite like what they did with her in this movie. I wonder if we'll see more of her in Doomsday? Maybe she'll bump into the Silver Surfer from Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Be reunited with her husband and all that.

Galactus was awesome in this movie. The man is menacing and god-like. When the Four go to talk things out with Galactus and we see him for the first time, we just see these large metal doors opening and nothing but darkness step out... until BAM! We see this tall dark figure with glowing purple eyes.

His actor was great! All the actors were but I see why they waited to show us Galactus in all his glory. He was awesome.

I love the final battle in New York where Galactus was just stomping through the city, causing a tidalwave, crushing cars and buildings as he walked.

The Four had their work cut out for them here.

Galactus wanting to use Franklin to trade places with so he could finally free him of his hunger was just diabolical. And the way the world turned on the Four for not wanting to sacrifice Reed and Sue's baby is just insane... but unfortunately realistic.

Sue's political connections with Mole Man really helped save the town and Mole Man was a fun character to have show up. The only FF villains I know about is Dr. Doom and... and... yeah, that was the only one I knew before this movie.

I love how lived-in this universe feels. This universe had their stories already. It's an established universe, not an origin story. And I love that feel and the whole futuristic 60s esthetic.

The final battle was great. The scene with Reed using that metal piece to climb and stab Galactus was so cool. Powers of fatherhood right there!

When Galactus swatted The Thing away into space I was worried for a split second like Ben was gonna die but then Johnny came in and turned Ben into a freakin missile against Galactus.

And Sue, she was awesome! I knew Sue was strong but dang! She essentially forced a god flat on his a$s.

Sue's death scene and subsequent resurrection by Franklin made me tear up and my mom cry. (Congrats, Marvel, you made my mom cry at a Marvel movie, she hasn't done that since Black Widow)

The post credit scene got me so excited!

The scene in the beginning of the movie where we see Sue at the UN negotiating peace between all the nations and us seeing an empty Latveria seat made me gasp, but I thought that was it, a simple nod towards Dr. Doom, UNTIL THE POST CREDIT SCENE!

Sue goes to grab a book for now Five year old Franklin until she sees a man in a green cloak kneeling in front of Franklin and then we see in his hand the Doom mask and Franklin reaching out to Doom's face.

That scene got me so excited for Doomsday! And I guess it explains why we see the Four's ship at the end of Thunderbolts*/The New Avengers. My guess is Doom kidnaps Franklin, takes him to the MCU Earth 199999 and the Four will chase him there, team-up with the Thunderbolts and try to stop Doom.

Honestly, I think it's a solid 9 out of 10 maybe even a full on 10 out 10.

I saw go watch it. It's fun, especially if you bring the whole family like what me and my folks did.

Can't wait till Doomsday and Secret Wars!

Made you a little mini iron man suit in your favorite colors!! No hot lazers and Jarvis has tracking on your suit so you can't fly too far away, but it's still super fun and cool! He can talk to you through suits and it's like telepathy >:]

Likes to make up silly little theme songs for your superhero persona and will fly you around in the air while singing them

Always orders you a "coffee" with his own so you don't feel left out but his assistant always knows to actually bring you a chocolate milk instead

Definitely gets you iron man merch. Like jammies and t shirts and those Lil velcro top shoes. Absolutely no shame in decking his kid out with his own face

Bedtimes are a huuuuge treat! He tries to be there as often as he can, but when he can't be he makes time to do a face time, which is projected via a hologram! He also uses holograms to tell you bedtime stories, has a bunch of audios of him pre recorded reading stories! Even if he's reading you a series like Percy Jackson or Warrior Cats!! He has the little cats walking around talking or shows the characters, it's rlly cute

Also if you tell him you have a favorite color or a favorite animal be prepared for EVERYTHING to be themed after that color or animal. Everything.
