Need to write a dark, twisted romance. Medieval/Fantasy type beat.

With a character that literally came back from the dead after suffering a horrific fate— burned at the stake, drowned, beheaded, a death they did not deserve. Their loved ones executed before them. Their last breath was a vow, an oath to those who made them suffer.

After. It was nothing to sacrifice their humanity, to form a bond with a demon / god to get what they wanted. Vengeance. The blood of everyone who wronged them.

And the character who sees them, this person who has forsaken their owl soul to get what they deserve, to see the aftermath of their love, how far they would go and thinks— yes, that's the one I want

Look I don't have much beyond the inherent desire for the most unhealthy devotion, twisted loyalty, a couple that will burn the world down together

Inspired by a fanfic I read recently— I'd love to do an apocalypse plot where two people are partners, running jobs together for their community, surviving together. It seemed like an unspoken understanding that they would have each other's back, a bond forged through the hardships of this ruined world.

Until in the heat of the moment, an ambush by hostile humans or zombies, one of the muses abandons the other to save themselves.

It is unfortunate that the one they left behind survived and fate brings them back together.

I want the angst, drama, all the hurt, all the anger, arguments, physical fights. It's toxic, messy but if either of them really didn't care they really would've killed each other already.

gimme, friends (or) lovers to enemies/reluctant allies.

Trying to rebuild a relationship, feeling like the bridge was burned beyond repair, the thin line between hate and love. Re-earning the trust lost.

Been thinking of a vague plot idea, now it won't stop bouncing around inside of my head.

gimme a popular pretty girl who is jilted/jaded towards love, keeps messing around with guys who are bad for her and her best friend who is always there for her, (scary dog privileges) gets into fights with her exes/anyone who hurts her etc, always picks up the pieces, probably, definitely in love with her yet won't say it. Content to be her friend, the one she relies on and confides in before anyone else.

i love it when characters are codependent. i love it when losing someone feels like losing a limb. i love it when two people "complete" each other so wholly and terribly that one can barely function without the other. i love it when the fear of losing the only person who understands them is so all-consuming they'll destroy anything to stay together, including themselves.
