About Commissioning Me

Before you order, please make sure to have read my Terms of Service. These terms apply to private commissions only. This information is NOT applicable for commercial work, therefore the art can only be used for the client’s personal purposes.

All prices listed are base prices. Things that might increase the price are complex character designs, number of characters, not being able to provide a good visual reference, complex backgrounds, and amount of detail in the image in general.

Terms & Conditions

1. GENERAL TERMS

All drawings may or will include a subtle sign that you may not remove.

I might record the drawing process and post it on my YouTube, Tumblr, or TikTok.

Prices are subject to change based on demand.

I have the right to reject any order that I do not feel comfortable drawing for any reason.

2. PAYMENT

Currency accepted in USD and can be paid through PAYPAL

Commissions can be paid either 100% upfront or split 50% upfront and 50% after sketch approval.

Don't send me any payment before I have agreed to give you a slot and requested you to send me the payment.

3. PROCESS AND DELIVERY

I will notify you when I have started on your commission and you, therefore, lose the rights to a refund (see point 7 further below for more info on refunds)

While I'm working on your commission I will make reviews with you to make sure I make it just right for you!

The amount of reviews depends on the complexity of the work.

During the reviews, you will see work-in-progress and these images will usually include a watermark and be smaller than the finished piece.

The time it takes to finish your commission varies 1 week - 1 month depending on factors such as health, the complexity of the commissioned piece, other work and con seasons. Typically, I will get your work to you in 1-2 weeks.

If anything comes up that will slow the progress of the initially estimated delivery time I will let you know asap.

Once the piece is finished you will receive the full-resolution image along with a web-friendly size. Note that there is no physical product. Depending on where you live, we can arrange to print your artwork. Just ask :)

4. REVISIONS

You get 3 rounds of changes on the commissioned piece included in the price.

A fee will be added if you want something changed on the final drawing - unless a misunderstanding from my side has been made.

If you wish for me to change something in the drawing you have previously approved, I will charge you a fee to change it. The amount of the extra charge depends on the change you want me to make and is usually based on an hourly wage.

If your reference is unclear to start with changes will come at an extra charge.

5. COPYRIGHT / USAGE POLICY

I, Aurora Stephen (the artist), claim the rights to the produced drawing, not the buyer. Therefore I am allowed to use the copyrighted artwork to:

Promote myself with it everywhere

Publish books with it (artbooks, etc.)

Display it everywhere to my liking (website, social media, etc.)

Post it wherever I want

The buyer is allowed to:

Use the commissioned piece for personal use unless agreed otherwise (you can upload it on all your social media profiles, forums, etc.)

Print the artwork and claim the character(s) as their own, but not the artwork itself.

Use the artwork to promote themselves. You are not forced to give me credit when you post it but it is very appreciated.

Use the artwork on their Youtube channel and in monetized videos as long as the artwork itself is not the main subject for the earnings.

The following is considered copyright infringement:

Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially - means making money off it in any way.

Claiming the artwork as your own

Removing my signature from the artwork

Altering the artwork without my consent

I reserve the full rights to the image and it's use/distribution unless otherwise agreed upon (rights to the image for your own non-personal use may be purchased at any time).

6. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

I will do everything I can to make my customers happy!

If you have a problem with anything in regards to the commissioned piece please tell me right away so we can find a solution together.

I am willing to change some of my terms for you if you ask before I start on your commission. If you, e.g., do not want me to post your art anywhere, we can discuss this.

7. REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY

The buyer is not allowed a refund once I started working on the commission.

If for any reason I am unable to start your commission you will receive a full refund.

If you cancel your order before I started it, you can get a full refund.

If you are getting a refund, do not request a Paypal chargeback. I will transfer the money back to you myself.

If you request a Paypal chargeback at any point when you were not allowed to ask for a refund you will lose all beforementioned rights to the commissioned piece and I will have the full right to profit further from it in any way. I will decline the chargeback and supply Paypal with our conversations in which we talk about the commission as evidence that I have completed work for you. Furthermore, you will be blacklisted for commissioning me again.

If the buyer breaks any of the points stated above they will lose all the beforementioned rights to the artwork commissioned by me, Aurora Stephen (the artist), and I will have the right to profit further from the commissioned artwork in any way I see fit. If you have a problem with any of these statements, they may be changed if discussed with me prior to paying your commissioned piece.

What do you get?

Drafts/mockups that you must decide which one I should continue with (depending on the complexity of the commission there might be fewer or more drafts)

Sketch and/or final sketches that you must accept before I continue the work

Insight and involvement in color plan (depending on the complexity of the commissioned piece)

Hello Again!

Wanted to say hi, and that I'm still alive! And should be posting here again soon. If you're interested in what's been going on with me, it'll be under the cut ;D

I know it's been awhile I've last posted or interacted on here. 2024 was a strange year for me. I've been busy with college, moving countries, personal art adventures, health issues, and obsessing over One Piece!! Mainly it's just health issues that's been messing me up. I'm now on a medication that works for me though!

These past few months I was in the process of moving back to the US (yay /s). It's been a nightmare trying to find a decent place to live, but I'm finally settled! I'll be getting all my stuff on the 22nd, and I can't wait to play more Skyrim and finally start VEILGUARD!

This upcoming year, I really want to get back into posting art, writing, and other stuff. AND FINALLY DO COMMISSIONS ARGHIDKLA;JIFIEA!!! I keep saying that I'm going to start offering them, but this is the year! I swear! And I have some art that I've been wanting to turn into stickers, prints, keychains, etc. I have plans, I just need my stuff back lol.

I haven't abandoned Unstable. I have a chapter that's about ready to post, so look out for that! hehehe

Just started the Marineford Arc of One Piece, and I'm already losing my shit.

I don't think a modded companion (let alone a companion in any game) has resonated with me the way Gore has! He feels so real to me, and has brought something so special into Skyrim! I can't rave enough about how much I ADORE him. :)

Unstable Chapter 7 WIP

This chapter is taking SO LONG to write, and it's even more monstrous than the last one (currently looking at over 8500 words and I'm still not done writing). There is also a hint of what the sequel to Unstable will entail ;D So please enjoy the unedited part 1 of this chapter:

The first time Sylvana visited Nightingale Hall, it was dilapidated and cold. Memories that weren’t hers seeped from every crack in the stone walls, reaching out to her like the frail hands of a beggar, yet she was the desperate one. It feels like every time she’s here, she’s desperate; ready to sign her soul away just to get through the situation she is in. And here she is once again, sitting in the hall desperate for a solution, but at least she is in much cozier surroundings. It now feels like a proper home with the candle light and much cushier furnishings. 

“I can't thank you enough for doing this,” Sylvana says as she watches Karliah flip open a journal filled with sketches and notes on botany and potions. Each diagram is meticulously detailed with curly handwriting, explaining alchemical knowledge far beyond her simple understanding. What little she knows is from Karliah herself, the amazing woman she looks up to for so much. She’s able to pick out a few words as she props her head up on the table they sit at in Nightingale Hall. 

“You don’t have to. Kaidan is a friend,” Karliah states as she sets the journal open on a page of anatomical drawings of the effects of a type of poison on the body. “I won't be able to concoct a true antidote without knowing the exact ingredients, but I may be able to make something that will help based on his symptoms. Now, was his tongue blue?”

“Um, not that I saw,” Sylvana answers as she twirls a strand of hair around her finger, slightly tugging at it.  

“Okay, any purple crust around the entrance wound?” 

“No.” 

“Spots on the back of his neck?” 

Sylvana shakes her head. She can barely remember anything peculiar about Kaidan, but she chalks it up to being too distracted by the fact that he wasn’t waking up. 

“Is there anything you can tell me?”

“This may be a bit of a stretch, but I think I may have been struck with a similar knockout poison. The only thing that really stood out to me was that I dreamed.” 

“You dreamed?” Karliah raises a brow as she shuts her journal. “Are you sure you were poisoned?”

“I’m certain. I even found the bottle.” Sylvana pulls it out of her pouch and hands it over. 

Karliah uncorks it before taking a sniff, instantly recoiling from it. “Ugh, imp stool.”

“Yeah, it’s nasty.” 

“Hmm, I think there is a hint of mugwort which is strange, but it could explain the dreaming. An odd choice for a coma poison though.”

Sylvana’s eyes drift to the side, thinking of the strange Dunmer she met in Dawnstar. If anyone were to know a thing or two about dreams, it would be an ex-priest of Vaermina. Perhaps she should send Erandur a letter. “If only we could ask who made it.”

“Well, most alchemists add a hidden signature onto the bottle as a way to track them. If we’re lucky, we might be able to tell if this was bought at a shop or not.”  Karliah says before holding the small bottle up to a torch. “Ah, see! There is a bee scratched onto the bottom of the bottle.”

“A bee? As in the letter or the insect?” 

“The insect! Look!” Karliah passes the bottle back and Sylvana holds it up, scanning the crudely drawn bumblebee scratched onto it. 

“Do you recognize it?” 

“I don't, but it is a bit of a lead. Where did you get this?” 

“Silverhand,” Sylvana sighs. 

“Silverhand? What are they doing going after you?”

“I’ll spare you the gory details, but I raided a base of theirs, and turns out they all got sticks up their ass.”

“Was it at least worth it?” 

“As long as Kaidan lives? Yes.”

“I will do what I can to make sure of that, but I do want to examine him myself before attempting to make an antidote. I’ll head out in the morning, but there are a few stops I need to make before I go to Whiterun.” 

“Again, thank you. This means a lot.”

“Of course! And it’s good to see you again, even if it’s due to unfortunate circumstances.” Karliah smiles and grabs Sylvana’s shoulders before pulling her into a hug. 

“I know, I’m sorry it’s been so long. Everything has just been crazy, I can hardly keep up myself.” Sylvi relaxes in the embrace of her friend, letting everything go for just a moment. 

Karliah pulls back, only to cup Sylvana’s face to examine it like a doting mother. “I see that. You look tired, my dear. Have you been taking care of yourself?” 

“I’m alive, aren't I?” She offers a tired smile, but it only makes Karliah tut and shake her head. 

“Well, that is better than dead,” Karliah says as she pats Sylvana’s cheek. She moves to the other side of the room where she grabs a rucksack and begins to pack it. “Have you spoken to Brynjolf yet?” 

“Karliah!” 

“What? He’s been a mopey, neurotic mess who won't leave me alone since you’ve left. I’m surprised he didn't follow you out here.”

“I’m sure he’s not far behind,” Sylvana groans, plopping her head onto the table. She shouldn’t be surprised he’s acting this way despite the way they left things. He may present himself as this carefree man, but underneath is a graveyard of memories buried under mounds of anxiety that make him believe everything can fall apart in a moment. It’s been especially bad ever since Mercer betrayed the guild. The worst part is that she only adds to it. 

“He told me what happened, and I let him know what a fucking s’wit he is.” Karliah puts her journal into her bag, closes it up, and places the whole thing carefully near her bed. “I just don't understand what that boy was thinking, but that’s not why I ask. Maven’s been trying to move in since your disappearance, claiming that your absence nulls the contract.” 

“That contract has been nulled since we repaid our debt.” 

“She claims we still owe her, and I fear that she will continue to do so until she owns the entire guild.” 

“I won’t let that happen.”

“Sylvi, it was Maven who set you and your friends up on that job. She’s going to do everything she can to make sure it does happen. Look, I know you have a lot on your plate, but don’t forget about the responsibility you have to the guild.  And don’t forget that the guild is here to help you too. You’re not alone in this.”

Sylvana rubs her brow, attempting to soothe the headache starting to bloom. Of course, it was Maven, she should have known. This is perfect, just another problem to deal with. 

Fuck, she needs a drink.
