I can't understand how everyone is getting caught up in the drama. People want to hate for the sake of hating and it's not fair. A mistake was made and admitted too. That's it I'm in love with Nick Offerman even with his clean shaven manly face. He's very manly. There's no other way to describe him. Just saw his "FULL BUSH" show and it was awesome. He's laugh is so infectious. For every little chuckle he gave out we meet it with and extra laugh in return EVERY SINGLE TIME. I already knew he was a character and very similar to good ol' Ron Swanson. Yes, he was sad his "queen of the pixies" wife couldn't be there, however he truly held his own. It was very beautiful to hear of his love for his wife. The highlight of the night was of course the last song. In my opinion yes, yes it did. It's hard to explain. Even in the first half I could not get into it. It was scattered and felt uneasy like a little sibling chasing after its cooler older brother or sister. And then something happened that gave me permission to truly despise it. WHY THE FORCE AWAKENS WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA. By Melanie M.

1.) George Lucas was not involved. It was his baby. Nothing should have gone past him without consulting him first. It’s called respect people. (Same thing happened to James Cameron, there are only two terminator movies in my eyes). 2.) It apparently deviated from the post books etc. Lucas and Co. created or thought of after Return. Another thing that was completely ignored by Abrams. 3.) Because of point one and two a total mind fuck has occurred to those who believed in “and they lived happily ever after”. I.e me and to the nerds who read and devour every word, thought or presumption of an idea from Lucas and Co. and the original trilogy. 4.) What the fuck? 5.) It copied nearly every bad move you could do when making a sequel. Do not just copy the first! Yes, however have some original characters and as many producers, writers and directors as you can for production. The sequel needs and deserves a better story line (this one had none). Not just a bad guy there, a hot girl there, a racially diverse lead there and everywhere a legend to pop up and steal the show! BTW. (Exhaled deep breaths. Calm blue ocean. Calm blue ocean). Do you understand what I am trying to say? BE ORIGINAL. Expand on a good thing yet do not just be lazy and duplicate a masterpiece. 6.) So, as I mentioned some returning characters do re-appear. And yes some die. I have a problem with this because of the way it happened. Like I said the storyline was absurd, lazy, predictable and highly boring. Even before Han died (oops) I could not get into the movie. The bad acting, the terrible dialogue. If it were done by actors who could actually act or who were trying to act like they weren’t so happy just to be in a Star Wars film (these guys from TFA weren’t the only ones) then there might be a chance for at least a decent action movie. However, this did not occur. The characters did not appeal. They just appeared. No emotional connection was made with the audience as a result. Therefore once the “HOLY CRAP” I can’t believe it’s Han, and a few others is back (high pitched sequels of delight) do emerge you just want the others to take a hike. The problem with this is it’s not about the original immortal movie characters is it? No! It’s about the forgettable wannabies trying to take their place. So what is to be done? Be off with their…well honestly as soon as that predictable move of the lightsaber stabbing Han I quickly exited the cinema for 20 minuets. I didn’t cry because I was simply to angry and appalled at what had just happened to do so. If it had occurred in later scenes, or the last of the new movies, I might MIGHT have accepted it. Because it was just thrown in there I can not accept it. It did not occur to me. 7.) Cue living in denial now for the rest of my life. Han and Leia are together living a happy life, raising their kids in peace. And Luke occasionally drops by to share stories of what planet he just visited preaching the good word of Jedi ism. Or something like that! Geeze. 8.) So the characters were horrible. Why where they there? How did they get there? Blah blah blah. You can not just set up a series of movies it has to occur naturally. Surely JJ understood that he had to make new characters worth giving a damn about? The dialogue was too “modern”. The believeability lost, she can do this, he can’t do that but wait till this scenario comes up and bam! Instant specialist in Jedi training or reved up bad ass. Fuck you JJ!. 9.) The effects weren’t that great. Who else felt JJ was getting confused with Star Trek? Maybe he felt bad for breathing new life into that franchise and then abandoning it for instant glory even before the movie took flight in the phenomenon that is STAR FUCKING WARS?. There is such a thing as making movies too dark and absurdly comical at the same time. Just take the new Batman which I did not really like either. The fun, the illusion of super heroes birthing out of a comic book was lost in Nolan’s films. Just saying. JJ stick to Star Trek buddy. 10.) I can’t believe what I witnessed. I wish I could unwatch it. I’m writing this at work (it’s really quite) and all the while staring back and forth at a magazine with Han and Chewie on the cover. Special edition mags, five to collect. I just want the one. Just because you can does not mean you should. Tina Fey was right. You can not mess with perfection. I was shocked when I heard she hasn’t seen the prequels. I wonder if she will watch these new horrible editions. Someone who knows her tell her no. Don’t do it Tina! Save yourself! It’s too late for me. I hope you all heed my warning. (Sad face) OUT. PS (I just had a customer take the mag with the chick on it to look at instead of Han and Chewie. Then he put it over them! I moved it back when he walked away.
