make DICE a pantheon with Kokichi as the head god

i'd really love to go further into this with my DICE as examples, but i initially thought of this when i was half asleep and i just woke up- so i haven't had the time to really play with my clowns quite yet.

i have like two i know for certain what would be (Kokichi as leadership , and Taichi (the bald one) as medicinal) and one i can't pick which idea i like more for (Mittens (oversized sleeves) as either strength or communication). the rest i haven't the fuckest clue what to do with yet, and im actively trying to avoid Micky ending up as some kind of weed god

a thought that came to me randomly-

what if saiouma but they are stuck in this mutual mess of "why does he stick around me he deserves so much better" that's perpetuated by them constantly reaching out to help one another

it sounds kinda strange and this is a very poor wording of it, but i like the thought of Saiouma mutually wanting to help each other while also feeling like they themselves don't deserve the attention the other is giving them.

peak saiouma emotional constipation idiodicy imo, they pine circles around one another while wondering why the other sticks around

Beez gave me a wonderfully hilarious idea built on my hcs

so my Kokichi right? he can cook/bake, and he likes doing it just as a hobby thing, so naturally he'll sometimes cook meals for family and friends. there is just one issue- his family are a load of imps who like fucking with him just as much as he likes fucking with other people, meaning whenever he tries cooking for his family they get up to mischief and screw with him while he's trying to make their food.

now- while he's definitely gotten his fair share of revenge for their stunts over the years, the whole ordeal has made him very..... territorial for lack of a better term, over the kitchen while he's working in there. they can't exactly mess with him if they aren't allowed in at all, ya dig?

this makes for a very entertaining situation where post saiouma getting together, Shuichi- not knowing about this whole mess- tries to enter the kitchen to help Kokichi cook one day and learns real fast not to trespass on the chef's territory. tho... with some convincing (and some abusing of what his sopping cat energy does to Kokichi) Shuichi is allowed to prove himself in the kitchen

Bonus: if you're like me and you hc Shuichi to be the kind of kitchen disaster who can burn water, then Shuichi will also lose his kitchen assistant rights very soon after obtaining them

first time i've drawn my redesign/hc full design of Kokichi's full outfit since i made it, and it's in shitposty doodles... honestly i think Kokichi would be proud

my mom was watching a mystery show and it gave me an idea

funky no ultimates au concept where Shuichi gave up on detective work and turned to mystery writing as his job, then something happens to someone close to him and he tries to help the current active detectives with the case but they don't take him seriously because he's "just a mystery writer" and "it's your job to make fantastical mysteries that aren't true to life" and they think his ideas just aren't applicable to the situation….. then he goes behind their backs to investigate for himself and it turns out he was right

and if you're wondering "why wouldn't they know he was a former detective?" i imagine Shuichi stopped as an apprentice and it's been a while. he was still cracked as an apprentice but between the no ults thing, him quitting so young, and him not telling anyone, the vast majority don't know about his detective years. he his far more well known as a writer

anywho yeah, ex detective Shuichi writing mysteries instead but then ends up having to go behind the active detectives backs in a real mystery because they won't listen to him

no other notes i just think he just needs to be put in an improv show, it would be enritchment for him. his local theater puts one on and he's like the first to sign up

maybe have one of the other actors in the show be a DICE member so he has someone he can get more crazy with than the other actors, and just let them go ham

i had the funny thought of an au-

au where Kaito and Kokichi were a hero and villain duo, but between Kokichi kinda wanting to move on with life and Kaito being the most boring and predictable hero ever- he decided to straight up quit villainy and started living as a normal civilain like it never happened. he never announced this tho, so to the public and heros it looks like he's just gone into hiding and might be planning something big, so Kaito hires Shuichi's detective ass to try and find the missing villain so they can stop him before he can enact whatever preceived scheem he's hiding away with

Shuichi now has to find a villain who technically no longer exists, and he ends up stumbling across a civilain Kokichi- whom seemes to be very facinated with him and his case- in the process

there's more to this concept that me and Beez yapped about but im just gonna stop here so y'all can come up with your own fun outcomes for this

my friend brought up gargoyles in out gc and now my brain is running a mile a minute thinking about all the cool ways you could make a gargoyle oc- to reel myself in here a minute, hows about i try and make this about Saiouma instead?

how can i saiouma gargoyles? easy, just make one of them a gargoyle! which one you pick to be the gargoyle can ofc result in different shenanigans, but the basic idea is one is a human and the other is a sick ass creachur who guards places, is made of stone, and pretends to be a statue

personally i like the idea of Kokichi gargoyle cause you know his goofy ass would use the fact that he's able to disguise himself as a statue to mess with people in some manner- kinda hard to figure out who's poking you when the only thing near you is what you think is a perfectly normal stone statue..... he'd also totally steal people's shit all the time.

i'd imagine Shuichi would be the first ever person to catch him in the act; it'd be late at night and probably raining and Shuichi takes shelter under a canopy on the doorstep of whatever large fancy and probably religious building Kokichi stands guard at, while Shuichi's there Kokichi takes the chance to screw with him a bit and maybe snag some cash off him- but he screws around a little too much and Shuichi ends up catching him moving. to his pleasent surprise while Shuichi is definatly spooked by Kokichi's ....livelyness... he is not scared off, and Kokichi gets to have his first proper conversation with a human and gets to mess with him that way

i had a fun idea for my hc universe

what if danganronpa was a real show but not in the way Tsumugi presents it?

the concept here is it was a live action show that first aired in the early 80's as a month long halloween show that's whole plot was "what if Ultimates killed each other in a cool murder mystery killing game", but also to keep HPA off their tails they made their versions of HPA and Ultimates the legally distinct "Saishu Academy" and it's "Super High School Level" students. the show ran new seasons up until 2014 when they flew too close to the sun and started making characters that were far too similar to very real ultimates, resulting in a ignored cease and desist from HPA followed by a defamation lawsuit in 2015 that ended with the show's cancellation

the show runners and their executives had always had a distaste for HPA, and that was a large part of the reason they'd created the show in the first place then made the dangerous character choices that led to the lawsuit- they hated HPA and wanted to see how much they could get away with. the problem was now that- while Danganronpa hadn't been even a fraction of as popular as is claimed in game- it was still pretty damn big and was their main cash cow, and now it's gone because the people they were trying to piss off got pissed off and took action about it. some real "oh no the consequences of my actions" type shit

now what's a team of corrupt show runners suppose to do when their beloved cash cow gets slaughtered by the people they already hated and were making fun of with said cash cow? nothing fuckin' good i'll tell you that!

the executives who funded the show ended up shifting their funding into a new experimental type of vr tech while the show's remaining reruns they were permitted to air started to loose their rewatchability and the show lost traction. come late 2020 they enact a revenge plan that honestly should be classified as domestic terrorism and kidnap a class of newly scouted ultimates, hook them up to their shiny new experimental virtual reality tech, tamper with their memories, and then air live feed from the vr program onto several stations across japan as their unauthorized "real fiction" powered season commences.

and Tsumugi? she was never part of any of this, out of everyone she was the one who's memories were tampered with the most- unless you count Kiibo having been tricked into thinking he was a whole ass robot, then maybe he's got her beat by a hair

saiouma having a very brief brush with one another years before meeting proper, forgetting it, and then one randomly remembers way after they started dating

basically the idea here is functionally quite similar to those childhood friends aus, but instead of them having been friends, it was just a very brief interaction that they walked away from like you would any interaction with a stranger, and it doesn't just have to be childhood it could also be something only a few years ago

it's gotta be something that's signifigant enough for at least one of them to remember it properly tho- so like handing over a dropped wallet won't do. something more "made a signifigant impression on the other in the brief moments they were in each other's vicinity"

some favorite concepts i have are Kokichi distracting some kids who were bullying shuichi at a summer camp or park so he could escape, Shuichi finding and returning Kokichi's family's lost pet after they put up missing posters for them, Kokichi cutting the fool at some kind of event and Shuichi happen to bare witness to it, and they were both at the same hotel once and Shuichi caught Kokichi's attention by making the most fucked up hotel coffee concotion at the breakfast bar while looking undead

whoever the one who the other stuck in their head for needs to either remember this shit at the most random ass time, or remember it after being shown a picture of the other from that genera era of their life

instead of childhood friend to lovers, it's stranger interactions that live rent free in their heads to lovers

also bonus points if this is a soulmate type au so they realize they literally met their soulmate before they met their soulmate

What if an alternate talent au where Kokichi is the ultimate Devil's advocate? he's pretry great at arguing, so let's make him even better at it- what could go wrong?

he'd revel in being able to argue with people for the sake of a grade, coming up with the most obsurdly stable arguments for the most obsurdly unstable topics. mans could convince you saxaphone is spelt "cxaxifone" if he wanted to. and with how childish he is i wouldn't be surprised if he spent his free time trolling people with obsurd arguments online.

he'd certainly get under Shuichi's skin alot, and Shuichi would have to learn how to weave through Kokichi's bushit even more than he does in canon. i can imagine he'd even acutally accidentally help Shuichi solve something by playing devils advocate for him for fun and actually uncoving something importaint Shuichi glossed over. this would prompt Shuichi to seek his help more and well... we know where i like to go with these two and hanging out

they're boyfriends who's relationship is built upon arguing your honor

i like this design way better than i did the others, i think doing all the canon mlp character redesigns i've been doing on my sideblog really helped me get a grasp on what i was bugging me with his old design

if you wanna know what his old design was, it was this/ there isn't as much change as you'd expect but what did change did wonders for the design

yes his cutiemark did have pink in it, yes i wanted to keep it even tho it clashed, i only left it out this go round because it clashed waaaay more with the grey coat than it did with the blue and it was a hair too much even for my stubborn ass

saw a tumblr post that gave me a soft idea

the post was basically "if someone's going through the grief of loosing a loved one, you should gift them food instead of flowers because they are not gonna be in the headspace to make/order food for themselves and your gift may just be the reason they don't drop out from not eating enough" and it made me go "hey so what if Kokichi's mom gave this advice to him anecdotally and Kokichi decided to not only take it to heart but expand it to all grief and not just deaths"

my hc Kokichi's love language is already gift giving so just- let the gift be food that his friends can eat without really thinking too hard while they're wrangling with their emotions

an interesting thing to apply this to for a "Kokichi shows his true nature to the class a lil" moment- i hc Angie's parents kinda highkey divorced during her time at HPA, and i can't imagine she'd take that very well and would have some really wack ass coping mechanisms she'd be fighting with about it- and i could totally see someone like Kaede getting her to vent about what's making her act so off and Kokichi overhears and the following day shows up with a container of homemade snacks for her

i picked angie for this cause- while in canon i don't know if she'd accept it or not cause i genuinely can't remember her stance on Kokichi's trustworthiness- i think in an HPA au like this she'd probably be way more willing to take the snacks than most of their classmates would be, and also she's the only one i have a recent enough incident hc for on hand

anywho yeah Kokichi really said "that sounds really fucked up and stressful, would you like a cookie about it? they're good for the soul and you won't pass out from forgetting to eat"

postgame Kokichi being totally shut down and refusing to respond or interact with anyone, but Shuichi stops by and chats with him anyways

the original idea this came from was me talking to Beez about how my own hc universe Kokichi handles situations where he feels like he lost everything, and how that would apply to a postgame vr au. we decided Kokichi would probably completely shut down, not wanting to get up or talk or really just acknowledge the world around him. he's not comatose or physically bedridden- just very fucking depressed and dissociative

at the hospital he'd lay in bed on his stomach with his face in his pillow, and only ever move to look over his shoulder briefly when he hears his door open to see who came in. obviously he'd get up long enough to eat and use the restroom (or when a nurse forces him to so they can do routine checkups), but that's it, he'd go right back to bedrotting afterwards and spend the rest of the day like that till he fell asleep.

this would then only change after his family pays him a visit with his cat for some much needed kitty love and a care package full of goodies from DICE who weren't allowed to come because the hospital only allows immediate family to visit. he'd be left with a little more to look forward to when he gets out of here and a bag full of snacks, a soft blanket, some comics, and one of the DICE member's DS that they snuck in there so he could distract himself with whatever games they had. he's also covered in cat hair but that's fine. he still won't talk to anyone but he's more often found sitting up now, playing with the DS or reading comics.

where Shuichi came into this was i thought it'd be interesting if Shuichi tried to make amends with Kokichi by regularly paying him visits, asking him how he was doing and keeping him updated on everyone else. obviously in his shut down state Kokichi isn't responding to him or acknowledging him in any meaningful way (at least none he can see), but that doesn't deter Shuichi from sitting on the foot of his bed and just talking. and while he'd never admit it, Kokichi kinda liked it

the trick is Shuichi tended to avoid talking about anything actually related to the killing game or medical stuff unless it was positive (like Kaito finally stopped having phantom sickness triggered coughs), preferring to tell Kokichi about all the funny interactions the rest of the group had together or offer him interesting topics that came up in conversations.

everyone else who bothered to visit him- nurses included- only ever tried to get him to talk about his medical health or things he did in the game, and it always made Kokichi feel less like a person and more like something they were all just trying to study and make sense of, which after everything that happened was the last thing he needed to be feeling like. so Shuichi coming in here and only bringing up stuff that you'd talk about in a normal real world conversation felt alot better, and made him feel like for once someone saw him as just another guy- if only for a few minutes. it really helped him get through the pre-family-visit days without being drivin mad by his own spiraling thoughts

and post Kokichi's family visit? Shuichi was actually able to get a small handful of reactions out of him. they were rarely verbal, but whenever Shuichi told him something about the shenanigans others got up to he'd sometimes smile or cringe, maybe even let out a small laugh once in a while. between him genuinely enjoying the feeling of normalcy Shuichi's chats gave him, and the mental distractions his care package offered, Kokichi was able to relax enough to let reactions slip through again. hell- when Shuichi asked him how he was he'd sometimes dare to give a gesture as a response, a thumbs up or a shrug- maybe even tapping the DS while playing it to try and say he was locked in

idk man Kokichi warming up to Shuichi while shut down just makes me soft

Hey, not a question, and kind of irrelevant, but I thought you'd like to hear about a hc/idea of mine lmao

I have the hc that Kokichi has curly hair, and the reason his hair flairs out like that is because he straightens it and that's the only way it ends up when he straightens it (he has a love-hate relationship with his hair— it's hard to take care of, but his mom had curly hair so he likes having that part of her).

I can't help but imagine a situation where in the Killing Game, his hair was just naturally curled out like that, not curly (simulation version btw), but then he wakes up from the game after he dies and he has to figure out how to deal with his hair again.

At one point, he gets so frustrated that he just starts angry crying and just throws crap and asks God why he hates him. Shuichi finds this amusing, btw. That fact makes Kokichi want to get violent and beat up Shuichi, but he won't because he's whipped and not actually a violent person.

I think the idea of Kokichi losing his shit over something like his hair is extremely funny, and I have no idea why.

anywho, i think this is really neat! personally i'm more of a "Kokichi has naturally straight hair that is fried to shit" kind of guy, but they way you've applied the hc here is really interesting. i'm totally down for any minor inconveniences that makes Kokichi lose his shit

Kokichi but he's a fashion menace- think i've done this one before but idc

idea is Kokichi has a really good sense of fashion, but he very intentionally makes himself look like a walking fashion crisis. like if his friends ask him for help with outfits he'll always take it seriously and make sure they look perfect for the occasion, but not himself.

his friends will dress nice thanks to him, but he'll pic out an outfit for himself that makes him look like something a clown threw up then a sparkledog ate only to throw up again

Saiouma lovers in a past life but they were felled gods

i don't know where tf this idea came from but it's here now- Saiouma in a past life were gods of some variety in a high-fantasy esque world who were very in love with one another, but some god-slayer ended up getting to them. when they reincarnated they ended up reincarnating in the same world as mortals thousands of years later when the world has caught up more to modern day standards of tech but still has magic and gods around (i like modern worlds with high-fantasy magic in em okay-)

both are very very aware they were a god in their last life and had another god as a lover, but neither know the other is said lover...at least not yet. depending on who was killed by the god-slayer first, one believes his lover is still alive as a god and seeks to reunite with him via worship, and the other knows they both died and hopes to find him again in this life if he can

i'm leaving it purposefully vague on who's who so y'all can pick your angst dynamic, and i also said mortals instead of humans so if y'all want you can play with fantasy races and stuff
