The Magic Movement is very pleased to announce a new member to the Magic Family. Luca Musto is a long time friend and a very talented producer/DJ and definitely not a newbie in the scene.

"Parabel" is a concept EP in which he reflects the story of his provenance. Dipped in blues and marinated in Jazz, this release is a diverse journey in all the ways: 'Once Upon A Grind’ kicks off with a reflection of his father’s immigration from Italy to Germany. The strong groove of this moody gem reveals Luca's roots in Hip Hop, making heads bow without any trouble.

Next up is ‘Parabel’, a hypnotic slow-house jam, with rich textures and adjuring vocals which tells of new adventures on the road.

‘Let Me Down’ opens the B side with dense soundscapes, sprinkled with dreamy synths and strings, while Iorie closes the curtain with a dubby and striped down remix of the track on B2. “Be Water' he said, this state is tremendous. credits

On the ‘Lotus’ EP, Yør Kultura reveals a more melodic side of their musical realm. Gritty synth lines, strong percussion work and rolling basses invoke the spirits of places not yet discovered. Mysterious vocal samples sing the blues on this journey through various psychedelic worlds. The sultan of hamam swing Mehmet Aslan, crafts a sublime version of 'Willow' on B2, giving a Turkish twist by adding extra guitars and percussions. 33 & 45rpm playback is tested and highly recommended.

Beeing already a classic in the infamous circles, „Xaxoeira“ is finally available on vinyl! This vibey masterpiece is the straightest of the bunch, a proper slow-mo House tune, with a dark flute sample and a broken organ that grinds its way into the deepest corners of your brain. Nicola Cruz delivers a superb remix of „Xaxoeira“ which adds rolling percussions and delay madness to the original material.

Taking an open-minded approach to electronic music, Summits is formed of Joe Danvers and Mark Davies. Originally from Bristol and now based in London, they made their first steps into the scene with releases on Apersonal and Alfresco Disco and have been featured by the likes of Stamp The Wax.

Chopping up broken beats, loose house grooves, organic samples and warm melodies, their new Amplify EP for The Magic Movement channels the likes of Bonobo and Auntie Flo. Norma & Dreems - Animal Empire/Rise (MAGIC05 12″)

On The Magic Movement's 5th phenomena, sound wizards Noema & Dreems (of Multi-Culti Records) invite you on a journey to the tropical depths of a world beyond. Down in the Rabbit hole, Thomas von Party joins the tribe with a dubby, stripped down, percussion remix.

"Animal Empire" an afro inspired jungle techno swing with a dubby melody and hypnotizing bells while the driving bass-line enhances the macumba vibe. For those affected by swirling sonics beware the vertiginous breakdown, where all seems lost for a brief moment of madness. Flip the record and hear the sound of Aztec Acid Disco on the “Rise”. With a lot of love for the detail, flute, percussive guitar and shamanic vocals get you into the groove. After a little hang out with the local jaguar warriors the 303 soars up for a flight over the pyramids, until an elevating melody takes this intense beast right into the glowing morning sun. On the remix mountain Von party glares back into the light from atop his DMT peak and creates a dubby, stripped down, percussion frenzy, that will turn any forest floor upside down.

Soultage - Old School Love EP (MJAMS04 12″)

This two young guns from Amsterdam promise to leave a big mark on the scene with their fresh interpretation of classic US House convinces with soulful vocals, stomping beats and surprising breaks.

On their debut EP, Soultage delivers with „Old school love“ and „Soulful Damage“ two House anthems, which will definitely make every peak time dancefloor go Boom. To „Warm up the place“ in the earlier hours, the duo recommends a swinging groove and jazzy Trumpet. Sphynx - "No Ar“ EP

Straight from Sao Paulo, the debut EP of Sphynx (aka Marcio Vermelho and Pedro Zopelar) is undoubtedly pure balearic bliss!

Intricate masterful compositions fascinate with live guitar, drum machines and vintage synths combined in a harmonious arrangement. Without the use of any samples, Sphynx constructs the perfect soundtrack for every sunset between Ipanema and Ibiza.

Carrot Green - Dança das Crianças EP

On his new EP for The Magic Movement, Rio de Janeiro's own Carrot Green blends brazilian Music, House and Techno to generate his own exceptional dancefloor gem. Already proven in the Brazilian Shakedown series plus more stunning releases, this extraordinary producer knows his trade:

The title track "Dança das Crianças“ features brazilian spoken word, chanting and slightly peculiar synth chords enhanced with a strong House Beat. Following is the remix by @oceanvsorientalis, who turns the tune into a hypnotic and bass heavy listening adventure. Flip it around and trip out on "Duress (Psyche Mix)“. This psychedelic slow bomb transports you to places deep down the rabbit hole. The EP closes with "Marruero“, a peaceable House jam with cut up piano samples and brazilian story telling.
