DEP’ARM’TMENTS

RED DEPT.

Head: Reddington The Red Dept. basically keeps the building functioning. They take care of providing power to the place and fixing anything that might be broken.  (Ex. Jobs: Maintenance, Janitor, Electrician,)

VERMILLION DEPT.

Head: Vermillinder The Vermillion Dept. is responsible for most of the advertisement. It is a full functioning studio where commercials, posters, publications, and even radio as are recorded and created. (Ex. Jobs: Actors, Graphic Designers, Writers, Photographers, Camera Ops.)

ORANGE DEPT.

Head: Oranhamme If you’re hungry then stop by the Orange Dept. for snacks or a meal. This is a full functioning restaurant that caters to both company personnel and outsiders. Employees get a nice discount too! Even better the Orange Dept. has trolleys that come around the Deparmtments to stock up break rooms and employees with treats. (Ex. Jobs:  Waiter, Chef, Food Trolly Operator, Baker)  

AMBER DEPT.

Head: Amberose No Deparmtment shines brighter than the Amber Dept. which takes care of public relations and customer service. Their sunny smiles make sure that the company has a good reputation with the public and clients and turn any downer situation into a daydream. (Ex. Jobs: Public Relations, Customer Service, Sales)

YELLOW DEPT.

Head: Yelloneus The most monotonous and bizarre award goes to the Yellow Dept. They take care of all the boring paperwork and clerical stuff but theres just always something off about this place despite it looking the most normal out of all the Deparmtments. Just be sure to have your work on time because time is money. (Ex. Jobs: Clerical, Data Entry, Mail, Accounting, Financial,)

CHARTREUSE DEPT.

Head: Chartrand Wait is there straight up club in the building? Why yes! Yes there is! All Employees need to let loose and have a place to relax right? Why not head to the Lounge where you can grab a table and a few drinks…just be careful not to get carried away… (Ex. Jobs: Musicians, Bartender, Waiter/Waitress,)

GREEN DEPT.

Head: Greegori In this type of business accidents are bound to happen and stress abound! Thankfully we have a Health Dept. for such things. Head to the Green Dept. for a quick checkup, get bandaged up, or just talk to someone if you need it. The entire floor is just one giant garden with a nice lil hut to get the R&R you need. (Ex Jobs. Nurse, Therapist, Gardener)

TEAL DEPT.

Head: Tealing If you have a problem with your tech cal the Teal Dept. and you’ll have IT up in a jiffy to resolve all your technical problems. This place is always developing new software and programs to help with the business. (Ex. Jobs: Programmer, IT,)

BLUE DEPT.

Head: Blubert The Blue Dept. makes clarity its priority. They take care of the communications in he building and ensure all Deparmtments are clear on whats happening. They are responsible for delivering announcements and writing up new events and getting the word out there to employees. They make sure everything flows smoothly. (Ex. Jobs: Theres really only communications jobs here.)

INDIGO DEPT.

Head: Indignus We dont talk about the Indigo Dept. (No applications being accepted)

VIOLET DEPT.

Head: Violson Its as though this Dept. can read the future but their marketing strategies are always spot on! This deparmtment is all about reading the market and coming up with strategies that will help the business grow and sell more (Ex. Jobs: Marketing, Strategist, Analyst)

MAGENTA DEPT.

Head: Magerite  Part of having a well running company is to make sure we are hiring the right people and the relationship between everyone is a good one. The Magenta Dept. does just that and takes care of the Monster Relations here making sure to screen applicants for the right job and that everyone is getting along.(Ex. Jobs: HR, Consultant)

Monster Office Setting

Monster Office takes place in Kaleidope City. 

Kaleidope City is a magical but modern metropolis where all sorts of creatures live. It is a port city where many cultures come together to create a colorful array of possibilities.  You can pretty much find anything you’re looking for in Kaleidope. If you happen to be in the business for Dreams though you’ll find no better company than REM. 

REM deals with making dreams a reality, quite literally.  It is an industry run by the Dreamons who arrived here from another dream-like dimension to leave their mark on this world.  While the official title of the business is REM most folks in Kaleidope know it as the Monster Office. The nickname could have come from the fact that most if not all the employees in this company are monsters. It could also be from the fact that some mysterious property in the building seems to turn humans into monsters but who can say!? When you work for REM you will be working in one of the 12 Dep’arm’tments that the business consists of. Each Dep’arm’tment is run by one of the 12 Dreamons who serve as a D’eye’rector. More info on these Deparmtments will come soon!

Recommended themes?

Hello there, working on the new blog.

Right now I was planning on using redux but wanted to see if anyone had recommendations for a theme. Some things I’m looking for in this theme: -Single Column -Visible Avatar/Logo -Customizable Header -Customizable Background -Sidebar with all the links (preferably on the side but on top is okay too as long as it doesnt get in the way of the header) Rounded and simple design is preferred. Any recommendation?

How should I apply..? You say hop in but I'm kinda nervous that I might do something wrong....

Usually folks like make a small introduction post, like an application. They usually include a picture, where they work, some basic info on the character like personality and such. After that you can just say ‘hey Im here for interaction’ or shoot a hello to the tag #monsterofficemayhemMaybe send some asks to active blogs too? Just be police really.

Are we going to see more of the department heads in the future? I'm curious to see if their designs have shifted since we've last seen them

Absolutely. I want to use this as a means to further develop the dreamons both in design and personality so I’ll be introducing more and more little by little!

This might already be answered, but how does Oranhamme prefer to be addressed by his employees?

With the update his title will be Chef Oranhamme or just Chef.

Just bein' a little curious, what is the office break room like for everyone? It is Plain Jane or is it some fancy stuff?

Break rooms are actually pretty plush for an office, compliments of Oranhamme. It helps having a boss who is all about comfort. The big Hamme retrofitted lots of cushy furniture when making the building. He and his department also supply the breakrooms with plenty of fresh snacks and coffee. You just have to get to it before Jon pops in for his daily surprise visit.
