‘Narayan Seva Sansthan’ reaching out to the ‘differently abled’ community
“Disability is a matter of perception. If you can do just one thing well, you’re needed by someone.” -Martina Navratilova
Tumblr media
The ‘differently abled’ section of the community is ostracized and not included in the society. Not just the society is insensitive to them but also their families neglect them.
They do not have access to basic education or vocational training and hence no scope to be self dependent. The ‘differently abled’ persons particularly in rural areas are poverty stricken.  If they are not provided with proper means to earn their livelihood then they will be caught in the vicious circle of poverty and will not be able to come out of this.
‘Narayan Seva Sansthan’ started its journey in 1985. At that time, it was carrying out programs of free distribution of food grains, medicines etc. to the poor & needy and ‘free of cost’ corrective surgeries of the polio patients and to other ‘by birth’ disability patients.
But then ‘Narayan Seva Sansthan’ thought something more has to be done to end the vicious circle of poverty of the ‘differently abled’ persons. ‘Narayan Seva Sansthan’ started various vocational training centers to impart ‘free of cost’ training on Computer servicing, Computer Hardware Training, Mobile Repairing Training, sewing & tailoring etc. to the ‘differently abled’ persons to make them self dependent. But those who are illiterate or are not interested in the above vocation for them, training in wood craft, carpentry, blacksmith trade and leather work is also provided to the needy ones. Tools and other raw material required for the same are also being provided 'free of cost' on behalf of the organization.
Tumblr media
Here, professionally qualified trainers provide training of the various vocations. Both males and females are imparted training in vocation of their choice irrespective of their caste, creed and gender. After successful completion of training these people are able to make a livelihood on their own.
Bringing smiles on faces of the ‘differently abled’ people gives a great sense of satisfaction to ‘ Narayan Seva Sansthan’.

Divyang Vivah-  Finding love with a disability
Tumblr media
Our life is a gradual succession of stages which metamorphosis us into something we are today. We continuously evolve different ways to make a better today, create a better world for us, secure better jobs, and have happy families and what not.  We always resolve to do something to make ourselves happier and better. We redirect and focus our energies to transform into a better individual.
But there are sections of society, who don’t dream, who don’t resolve, don’t make promises because they are ‘differently-abled’ and are born and brought up with constant neglections, which ravages their self confidence. Their life remains in consternation until and unless someone helps them, heals them.
“True joy comes your way, when you inspire, encourage and guide someone else on a path that benefits him or her.”
Since its inception Narayan Seva Sansthan has focused on standard rehabilitation and is today an internationally acclaimed specialized rehabilitation centre for the disabled and the destitute.
But we did not stop here; we raised the bar to incredibly higher verticals.
Divyang Vivah ( a Mass-Marriage ceremony), a special project of Narayan Seva Sansthan, is providing a reliable platform for people with disabilities to meet and find a life partner. The mass wedding ceremony is an endeavor from our side to elevate these individuals to become fully-functioning members of society.
In this concern, Narayan Seva Sansthan will hold a Mass wedding ceremony for 51 underprivileged, differently-abled couples in Delhi on 3rd -4th December 2018.
This will be a symbol of social unification and empowerment of the community. Our role is just to provide the right platform and opportunity to help them begin a new chapter in their life. The celebrations will be brought to life by the presence of the family members and friends of the happy couples.
Our aim at Narayan Seva Sansthan, was, is, and will always be to help retain the spirit of the specially-abled and to make them fly like a free bird.
It’s not about doing someone a favor, it’s about caring. It’s about feeling the pain of someone It’s about bringing back hope to someone It’s about making someone Happy!
We urge you to come forward to be a part of this and experience the life changing unification of two souls. Help us motivate them to lead a happy and a dignified life.
Disability shouldn’t inhibit one in any aspect, be it professional or personal sphere.
They say no act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.
We rise by lifting others.

‘Narayan Seva Sansthan’s motto ‘Nar Seva Narayan Seva’ would have not been fulfilled unless free handed financial support would have not been extended from people living all across the world.

We have been able to provide ‘free ofcost’  treatments to  ‘differently abled’ patients, orphans, deaf & dumb, blind children, other needy & poor persons in various ways with the funds received by us from numerous donors associated with us for long. ‘Narayan Seva Sansthan’ wouldn’t have attained great heights without the immense contributions in form of donations received from our generous donors.
It’s for sure that you, along with your family members would always be blessed by the ‘almighty’ and the needy people for this virtuous act of yours.

Narayan Seva Sansthan - In Service of Mankind Since 32 Years
Tumblr media
‘Narayan Seva Sansthan’ an NGO set up in South Rajasthan, Udaipur in 1985 with an aim to help the ‘differently abled’ people. NSS’s journey so far has been very fulfilling and has given us immense pleasure by making lives of other people happy.
With the efforts of 49 branches abroad and 516 branches in India, ‘Narayan SevaSansthan’, to a great extent has been successful  in reducing pain & sufferings of patients suffering from polio, cerebral parsley and those who are ‘deaf & dumb’,  blind, orphaned and mentally retarded people across the globe.
‘NarayanSeva Sansthan’ has made lives of people easier by providing free treatment, lodging & boarding facilities etc. to the ‘differently abled’ patients and their respective attendants at its 1100 bedded hospital situated at Badi which is nearly 15 Kms from Udaipur city. Approximately 400 patients are diagnosed on a daily basis. And those found medically suitable for corrective surgeries are operated on a later date at the organizational hospital in Udaipur. Corrective Surgeries in the range of 80-90 patients are conducted daily. Till date, corrective surgeries of more than 3,03,500  patients suffering from polio (by birth) have been conducted successfully on behalf of the organization since the time of its establishment.  Polio patients making their way to the hospital of the organization crippling on their own legs leave the organization for their destinations walking on their own after their corrective surgeries.
Someone has rightly said  that ‘NSS works differently and it stands differently’ as the chief aim of the organization is to provide various facilities to the ‘differently abled’, poor, helpless and the needy people through its various ‘free of cost’ service activities. This includes training on computer servicing, Computer Hardware Training, Mobile Repairing Training, T.V. repairing, etc. More than 8750 people have been imparted such trainings till date.
