âNarayan Seva Sansthanâ reaching out to the âdifferently abledâ community
âDisability is a matter of perception. If you can do just one thing well, youâre needed by someone.â -Martina Navratilova

The âdifferently abledâ section of the community is ostracized and not included in the society. Not just the society is insensitive to them but also their families neglect them.
They do not have access to basic education or vocational training and hence no scope to be self dependent. The âdifferently abledâ persons particularly in rural areas are poverty stricken. Â If they are not provided with proper means to earn their livelihood then they will be caught in the vicious circle of poverty and will not be able to come out of this.
âNarayan Seva Sansthanâ started its journey in 1985. At that time, it was carrying out programs of free distribution of food grains, medicines etc. to the poor & needy and âfree of costâ corrective surgeries of the polio patients and to other âby birthâ disability patients.
But then âNarayan Seva Sansthanâ thought something more has to be done to end the vicious circle of poverty of the âdifferently abledâ persons. âNarayan Seva Sansthanâ started various vocational training centers to impart âfree of costâ training on Computer servicing, Computer Hardware Training, Mobile Repairing Training, sewing & tailoring etc. to the âdifferently abledâ persons to make them self dependent. But those who are illiterate or are not interested in the above vocation for them, training in wood craft, carpentry, blacksmith trade and leather work is also provided to the needy ones. Tools and other raw material required for the same are also being provided 'free of cost' on behalf of the organization.

Here, professionally qualified trainers provide training of the various vocations. Both males and females are imparted training in vocation of their choice irrespective of their caste, creed and gender. After successful completion of training these people are able to make a livelihood on their own.
Bringing smiles on faces of the âdifferently abledâ people gives a great sense of satisfaction to â Narayan Seva Sansthanâ.

Divyang Vivah- Â Finding love with a disability

Our life is a gradual succession of stages which metamorphosis us into something we are today. We continuously evolve different ways to make a better today, create a better world for us, secure better jobs, and have happy families and what not. Â We always resolve to do something to make ourselves happier and better. We redirect and focus our energies to transform into a better individual.
But there are sections of society, who donât dream, who donât resolve, donât make promises because they are âdifferently-abledâ and are born and brought up with constant neglections, which ravages their self confidence. Their life remains in consternation until and unless someone helps them, heals them.
âTrue joy comes your way, when you inspire, encourage and guide someone else on a path that benefits him or her.â
Since its inception Narayan Seva Sansthan has focused on standard rehabilitation and is today an internationally acclaimed specialized rehabilitation centre for the disabled and the destitute.
But we did not stop here; we raised the bar to incredibly higher verticals.
Divyang Vivah ( a Mass-Marriage ceremony), a special project of Narayan Seva Sansthan, is providing a reliable platform for people with disabilities to meet and find a life partner. The mass wedding ceremony is an endeavor from our side to elevate these individuals to become fully-functioning members of society.
In this concern, Narayan Seva Sansthan will hold a Mass wedding ceremony for 51 underprivileged, differently-abled couples in Delhi on 3rd -4th December 2018.
This will be a symbol of social unification and empowerment of the community. Our role is just to provide the right platform and opportunity to help them begin a new chapter in their life. The celebrations will be brought to life by the presence of the family members and friends of the happy couples.
Our aim at Narayan Seva Sansthan, was, is, and will always be to help retain the spirit of the specially-abled and to make them fly like a free bird.
Itâs not about doing someone a favor, itâs about caring. Itâs about feeling the pain of someone Itâs about bringing back hope to someone Itâs about making someone Happy!
We urge you to come forward to be a part of this and experience the life changing unification of two souls. Help us motivate them to lead a happy and a dignified life.
Disability shouldnât inhibit one in any aspect, be it professional or personal sphere.
They say no act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.
We rise by lifting others.

Narayan Seva Sansthan - In Service of Mankind Since 32 Years

âNarayan Seva Sansthanâ an NGO set up in South Rajasthan, Udaipur in 1985 with an aim to help the âdifferently abledâ people. NSSâs journey so far has been very fulfilling and has given us immense pleasure by making lives of other people happy.
With the efforts of 49 branches abroad and 516 branches in India, âNarayan SevaSansthanâ, to a great extent has been successful  in reducing pain & sufferings of patients suffering from polio, cerebral parsley and those who are âdeaf & dumbâ,  blind, orphaned and mentally retarded people across the globe.
âNarayanSeva Sansthanâ has made lives of people easier by providing free treatment, lodging & boarding facilities etc. to the âdifferently abledâ patients and their respective attendants at its 1100 bedded hospital situated at Badi which is nearly 15 Kms from Udaipur city. Approximately 400 patients are diagnosed on a daily basis. And those found medically suitable for corrective surgeries are operated on a later date at the organizational hospital in Udaipur. Corrective Surgeries in the range of 80-90 patients are conducted daily. Till date, corrective surgeries of more than 3,03,500 Â patients suffering from polio (by birth) have been conducted successfully on behalf of the organization since the time of its establishment. Â Polio patients making their way to the hospital of the organization crippling on their own legs leave the organization for their destinations walking on their own after their corrective surgeries.
Someone has rightly said  that âNSS works differently and it stands differentlyâ as the chief aim of the organization is to provide various facilities to the âdifferently abledâ, poor, helpless and the needy people through its various âfree of costâ service activities. This includes training on computer servicing, Computer Hardware Training, Mobile Repairing Training, T.V. repairing, etc. More than 8750 people have been imparted such trainings till date.      Â
