With the school semester in it’s final days and taking a break from teaching, I’m slowly stepping out from the shadows of my studio cave and getting back into my personal projects and pursuing all things artsy! And, with thanks to Nolen of @punchingpandas and Mike of @mikeuziel for the invite, we’ll be joining forces to contribute to the art community AND to a great cause. On May 4th, Punching Pandas, Mike Uziel, Pacific Place Seattle, The Handmade Showroom and little ‘ol me will be hosting a Star Wars themed art workshop!  And all proceeds of the registration fee will be donated to the Union Gospel Mission of Seattle! Instead of throwback Thursday, I'm going to try something different with... Tribute Thursday! It probably sounds better as Tribute Tuesday. But, I just thought of it today. 😑 Today's tribute is for my buddy @_shanewhite and his graphic novel, Braun. Which is really close to meeting it's Kickstarter goal! 200 pages completely written and drawn, inked and colored by #shanewhite. And, it's ready for print. Catching up with sketches and conversation with @_shanewhite , when I noticed this kid sitting behind him. It can quite impressive how, no matter how much this kid shook his head in a tantrum, this booger held on to its dear life in that nostril. I've been sloooowly catching up on various TV shows and just finished up the first season of Supergirl. Which I thought was a lot of fun! I thought a lot of the casting was great. Last week I got to sit in on an amazing presentation by character art director, Bill Schwab, on the upcoming movie, Moana. Which, from what I saw, will definitely become my fave Disney movie. I'm sooo looking forward to seeing the final release. At the start of the presentation, Auli'i Cravalho appeared on screen and offered a moment for everyone to take a selfie with her.
