Fahed (@/fahed-2) & Reem (@/reem-reem-0), fled south together with their children & their children's grandmother. Fahed's sister's family of 5 fled south as well, and the 13 of them remained together. But after 14 months of surviving hell as a unit (and nearly reaching their campaign goal) the family is now facing one of the worse decisions imaginable: who will be able to evacuate Gaza and who will be forced to stay behind.

There may be an opportunity for evacuation soon, but they're bracing for separation, with Fahed staying behind with his sister and her family. It's hard enough reunifying in Gaza, but with the border with Egypt between them, there's no telling when (or if) they'll ever see each other again. It shouldn't be a choice this family has to make: who survives, who may not. Their kids shouldn't be forcibly separated from their dad, nor Reem from her husband.

Fahed & Reem are some of the kindest, gentlest people ever, and their kids are dazzling, just absolute sweethearts. They've all lost so much and experienced too much, and somehow, kept finding a way to endure.

The bombing left us with nothing but complete destruction, profound sadness, and unbearable pain. Everything collapsed in an instant... our home, our security, our dreams, and even our most basic rights to life.

We fled death to refugee camps, but death caught up with us there. My husband was injured in a treacherous bombing, and his father was martyred before our eyes. Today, my husband bears the burden of caring for his mother and siblings—a family of ten—under unbearable conditions.

As for me, my condition is worsening by the day. The doctor told me that I suffer from severe malnutrition, and this threatens my life and the life of my unborn child.

Hunger is consuming us, fear is stalking us, and the war has stolen everything, even the long-awaited moment of joy.

A merciless cold, and a tent that cannot withstand!

Like many other countries, this year’s winter is unbearably rains, fierce winds, and extreme cold that we haven't experienced in many years.

But the difference is that we are not in a home that shields our shivering bodies; we are in a torn tent that neither blocks the cold nor stops the rain.

Yesterday, the roof of our tent was ripped off, and water seeped into our few blankets. We shivered from the cold until we felt it seep into our bones. It was a brutal night as I held my child in my arms, searching for warmth I did not have. 💔

My name is Inas Imad, from Gaza, and I am 30 year old wife and first time expecting mother living in the most unimaginable and dire circumstances for over a year now. Three years ago I married my best friend and have struggled trying to start a family. Even after this war began, my husband and I did not lose hope in starting our family and we continued in determination to live and to bring new life into this world. I am now currently pregnant with our first child, however due to the consequences of this war, I am faced with a high risk, dangerous pregnancy according to the doctor and I am very afraid that if I do not get get adequate nutrition, the medications, and supplies that I need, I will lose my child. The doctor has ordered medication to be given by injection throughout my pregnancy to help me carry my baby to term, however I do not have the money to purchase the medication and syringes needed, nor do we have the money to purchase adequate nutrition. Life here in Gaza is very difficult and we become more hopeless by the day. My husband and I had just started to build our lives together. We had a nice home where we had planned to start our family, and now we are subjected to living in a tent where there is no bathroom and we spend our nights just trying to get warm. It has been difficult being pregnant and not having a bathroom or even a bed to sleep on, but I want my child more than anything. The only hope we have left is in our baby and I am asking you to stand with us. Please, help us in any way you can to save our child. We feel very alone and abandoned, but we are determined to live and we want to see our child be one of the miracles that comes out of Gaza. My name is Nour, and I’m 21 years old from northern Gaza.

I once lived a peaceful life with simple dreams, but everything changed on October 7th, 2023, when war tore through Gaza. I had to flee my home, leaving behind everything I knew, and now I live alone in a tent made of torn fabric in southern Gaza.

The constant bombings are unbearable, but being a lesbian in a society that rejects me is even harder.

I live in constant fear of judgment and violence. On top of this, I face extreme shortages of food, water, and basic supplies.
