If she’s with her family that I’m most certain that she’s happier there than in New York, definitely. So, at the end of the the day what you did wasn’t that bad as you thought.

What can I say? Sinning is second nature to most of the people in this city and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't guilty of a few things myself, but being a liar is the least of my vices, believe it or not. 

I know most of her family still lived there, so I'm willing to bet she likes it there better.

I’m really happy to know that you’re changed, because there is nothing worse than a liar.. alright, maybe a few things can be worse than a liar, but it still makes you a sinner. Maybe Guatemala is a better place for her than New York, who knows.

I just told you that I pride myself on not being a liar. I can't necessarily say the same for my 8-year-old self, but I'm a changed man. I'm sure she is. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.

She does..? Well, that’s good because at least it means that she listens to you, but you shouldn’t take that as a way to lie to her, I mean, I hope you don’t do that anymore. When we are kids we end up being afraid of facing our own mistakes but it’s all part of life, and we shouldn’t just lie about what we have done. I see, hopefully she’s fine in Guatemala then.

Don't make me feel worse, Brooke. I know, I know. I could tell my mom the sky was on fire and she'd take cover. She believes just about anything I tell her. I'm pretty sure she's since moved back to Guatemala. So I don't think I'd have any luck tracking her down.

Really..? I feel so sorry for that woman, I mean.. that’s so sad.. I can’t believe your mom actually believed in that story though, even if there is some really crazy maids out there, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a pie lunatic one. If you knew where she lives now or something you could try to redeem yourself even after all those years and then, you wouldn’t feel so guilty anymore.

There was one Thanksgiving that I snuck into the kitchen and ate a piece of pie. Okay, well, it was actually like an entire pie, but my mom got really mad that one of the desserts was missing so I told her one of our maids ate it. Then she fired her the same day. I still feel guilty about it.

I already gave up on trying to find my one true love while I’m on high school, it’s a fact that most high school boys, or at least all the ones that I know, are only interested on girls that they can take to theirs beds, and just.. that’s not how it’s going to work with me. Why would I even go on a date with you when I know nothing about you? You keep asking me things and making me the center of this conversation, but you’re still the stranger who seemed a lot more like a stalker before this conversation to me.

I get that, I do. But what about now? You're living so far into the future, how do you have time to enjoy the present? I'm not trying to be your one true love or any of that and I'm not going to pretend like I am. I just want to know more about you. I want to take you on a date sometime. And who knows, you may even have fun.

I know I’m all those things, and I’m really proud of my accomplishments. I’m just not used at people from school paying this attention to me or to what I have to say, and honestly, I was already used to it, which is why I always keep telling people that I have a world out there for me, where I will continue to accomplish things and find my true love. I don’t think I’m necessarily scared of anything.

Thank you very much, I do plan on keep writing as I leave school and maybe I might even write a book in the future. I see, but well, I’m glad that my column even made you think about it, I’ve received a lot of fan mail of people that went there for the first time after they read what I had to say, and ended up loving it.
