My friend, Bri, and I took a chance and went to the Game Con Canada expo up in Edmonton. I'm so excited to be here and show off our art!

This is my goddess of the sun: Celeste. I have been trying to make her design for a few years and it's been a ride trying to figure out what I love about her best. I think I'm honing in on her design!

My silly goosery knows no bounds. I love having silly goose shirts but I wanted to take up the challenge of making my own design. I wanted a silly goose stupid thing.

This is a rough draft for Inktober 2024 Day 3, which was boots. I wanted to go for enchanted/scary (because Halloween) for the designs, which was a fun challenge. It definitely made me go out of the box for my comfort level. I think it looks pretty good and I would like to eventually get the final design.

I love my new shirts!!! I made my Basmati Rice logo and it looks so good. I adore the design and I am so very proud that this is my first printed design (on anything).

This is our Rice Warrior!! I made my logo design for my volleyball team, Basmati Rice. I played around with some other poses and I really liked the final concept.

We're getting T-Shirts and so I really wanted to make it like a university emblem. Can't tell if I failed or nailed it but it looks cool lol.

It's Hybrid Day!

I have been all over the place with work and sports and friends events and just life all around. I am STILL trying to finish Doggust but since I'm so close to the finish line, I wanted to get out and draw more. Right now I'm doing a logo design for my volleyball team (I will post it soon).

I actually did this one a long time ago. I wanted to post it in chronological order. It turned out better than what I hoped for!

Doggust 2024 • Day 24 • Beagle

I am trying this new method where I am putting the rough work at the top and the layer below is where I am colouring it in and then the shading, then the linework, then the comic lines. I didn't expect to love this one without the linework. I took off the rough layer and it looked exactly what I was going for. I guess drawing everyday helps idk. BTW this is a Beagle excavator.

Doggust 2024 • Day 23 • Puppy

This is one of the cutest ones I have made. It turned out creepy at first, TRUST ME. I just wanted a cute little breed, which is why I chose a Yorkshire Terrier. I again went with the different colour scheme but I wanted to keep the same fur scheme as the terrier.

Doggust 2024 • Day 22 • Park

I know I keep saying but this one is 100% my favourite one. Not by far, but when I started painting it, I wanted to break from the norm of the regular fur colour and make it something different. SInce it was Christmas time, The Grinch was embedded into my mind and I went with green. I then gave him a little tree because I thought about "Park" (the prompt).

I kept going with the theme and made his eyes ponds with ducks and his nose a softball field. He is a Havanese named "Central Bark." I adore him so much and I even went into photoshop to clean up the more defined details and got close ups of "before" and "after."

I am so excited to post more like this!!

Doggust 2024 • Day 21 • Stretch

I am proud to say this took me about half a day to complete. It looks phenomenal and I kept going with that 'pop art' style of colouring. It's a German Shorthaired Pointer which kinda reminded me of a Beagle. I hope to continue this new trend!

Doggust 2024 • Day 20 • Floofy

So this one was a bit odd because I didn't even know what to do for it, but when I was looking through references, I found this picture of a Tibetan Mastiff and I loved the way his fur was moving (I attached the reference pic below - not sure who it belongs to).

I did start off with trying to make it a 'poofy' floofy but I HATED the individual fur strands. I went back to it and redid the painting in a sort of pop art style which I liked but I didn't love so I fixed some things and the final product is something I am hugely proud of which is rare for me. So I am sharing it and I will continue to work on the Doggust challenge before the year ends.

I have been finding it lately that colouring first and then comic shading is really nice. I have been super busy with moving new houses and late night DND sessions. I hope to make a great comeback!

Doggust 2024 • Day 18 • Walkies

This one was so fun and so hard to make - why you may ask? Well I really liked the style of the previous post, which my method was to colour, shade and detail before adding the linework (which I despise) BUT I did like the look of it and wanted to try it again. The only problem was that the Pomeranian is so fluffy, I had to maintain its fluff and THEN add the lines. I think it worked out okay but still, I love it!
