The Startling Connection Between Airplane Mode And Death.

Next time you take a flight, don't risk it and turn airplane mode off. That might be your last flight. You were probably annoyed last time the flight attendants told you to turn off your wifi, but, it is for good reason. When you turn on airplane mode, your phone is temporarily restricted from sending or receiving texts and calls. The reason for this is greater than you think. When not in airplane mode, your phone emits signals at the same frequency as the plane's navigation and communication systems. This causes something called electromagnetic interference, and it disrupts the plane's main systems. This will cause the plane's autopilot to malfunction. On April 28, 2009, in a Cirrus SR22 that took off into a 200ft. Overcast from Cleveland’s Cuyahoga County Airport. It crashed four and a half minutes later killing both onboard because a signal interfered with the autopilot. This signal could've been from a phone, but it might not have. I do NOT want to take any chances, so I ALWAYS turn on airplane mode, and so should you.
