Reflection

The thing I learned is that motivation will get you anywhere. I did almost all the work for this commercial, because I had the motivation for it, the others didn’t. And besides that, I may be a fool for doing all the work and the others will get the same grade as me. It says something about who I am as a person, maybe I need to work on that.

A improvement for you, Justin: Two hours is not enough for filming and editing. I had to work a lot in my free time to finish it. It is strange that you get the same time as for the script.

At the moment, I don’t think I was a groupsworker in this team. I was more like a leader. I didn’t like it that much, but someone needed to take charge.

My biggest contribution was almost everything. It was my idea in the first place, I made the script and the storyboard, even I made almost all the drawings in the commercial. Besides that, I edited later on too.

Lauressa tried to help the most, she didn’t know how to draw digitally, so she was trying her best to get something out of it. I didn’t work out sometimes, but at least she tried.

My goal at the beginning was to work as a group, too bad it didn’t work out that way.

Week 8 analyse Resolution

The commercial Resolution made is AIDA because of the following:

- Attention: 

The music of the commercial draws the attention of the audience. Also the three-legged cat draws the attention rather than a four-legged cat.

- Interest:

Everybody loves to watch a cute cat, especially a three-legged one! They used some great camera angles what made it interesting to watch. 

- Desire:

At the end of the commercial the cat seems very happy while eating the product ‘Cattics.’ It also looks like a familiar commercial + the box design was appealing.

- Action:

At the very end of the commercial a shot of the package and slogan is shown. The slogan of the product is “Cattics, because your cat is special.” People will buy it, because it will make their cat special.

Storyboard contibution

I was the one who did the most on the storyboard. Sjaak did the beginning, but I made the final storyboard. Hugo helped as second opinion and with some adjustments to the storyboard.

Week 7 - Reflection

I learned from this course to work better in a group. But also some facts about commercials and everything around it. I do think that the project was a bit long, but it is nice because it’s the end of the schoolyear and we have lots to do.

I halfway agree with the Belbin’s role. I am not a control freak, but I do love to see if everything is going well.

My biggest contribution to this project is that I made illustrations for the commercial and I helped everyone out if they were stuck at there assignment.

Nikita was our biggest help. She is real good in After Effects and was a big help because of that. She was like a leader, but she wasn’t bossy. She worked really hard and made our commercial complete at the end.

Week 5 - Storyboard

We all brainstormed about the idea for the commercial, but Sjaak and Nikita did most of the work. They drew the storyboard and made the story complete. The rest of us had other things to take care of.

Week 4

I am a caretaker. That means that I am the one to plan and make sure everything goes right. I love perfection and controling things.

I guess that I am that person, but not the full 100%. I did let it go a bit so other people didn’t find me an annoying person. I wasn’t a control freak in this project and I am happy that I can let it go sometimes.

Is my task in accordance with my role?

I think it is. The results from the belbin role test said that I am a teamworker, and in the course of this assignement I am trying to do things for the greater good of the team.

Week 7 individual

-  I learned how you do a voice-over and put it in a video

-  I still think shaper was a role that fit me.

- Nikita did a real good job (a leader). She helt the group together and did a lot about the script, storyboard and editing. She drove the group.

Belbin’s role

My belbin’s role is shaper, i think it fit with what i did in the project. I was the voice over for the commercial. This fit my role as a shaper because i give the commercial shape (because sound is really important). I helped were i could in this project (storyboard, script), i think this fit my role as a shaper quite well also.
